"Elena we are going to be late!" Kayla says barging in my room

"I'm coming" I look at myself one more time in the mirror

"The girls are in the car" Kayla tells me as we walk downstairs

"Where's the guys?" I ask her

"They left a long time ago" she laughs

I open the passenger door as Kayla opens the driver door.

"finally" Shay laughs

"You think this just happens" I smirk

"We can't be late" Vanessa says looking at the clock

"We won't" I tell her

"I can't believe today's the day" Shay squeals

"I'm actually nervous" I laugh shaking my head

"Why? This is going to be a peace of cake" Kayla scoffs "just smile and wave"

"Anna texted me and said her and mike are there and my aunt" I say

We finally pull up.

"Okay I just need to say one thing" I say to the girls grabbing their attention

"Go on" Vanessa says

"I love you guys and I'm glad I met you Vanessa and Shay. We won't lose touch I promise" I smile

"Never" Kayla smiles

"Yeah"Shay agrees

"Okay we are going to be late" Vanessa says looking at the clock again

"Let's go" Shay opens the door and we run to the football field

"I can't believe we are graduating" Vanessa smiles

"I'm glad you spent your senior year here and we get to graduate together " Kayla says to me

"Me too"I smile

We walk over to our seats.

"Hey babe" Josh says to me

"Hey" I say as I sit next to him

He gives me a kiss on the cheek.

"What took you so long?" Josh whispers in my ear

"Just making sure everything perfect for tonight" I smirk

He smiles knowing what I'm talking about.

I look over at Caleb who has he's arm around Kayla and she has her head on his shoulder.

Will and Shay are whispering to each other.

Vanessa sitting next to her prom date they seem to really like each other.

"Hey" ally turns around and gives me a small smile

"Hey" I smile back

I wish I could go back and tell myself everything will be alright. So much has change since sophomore year.

I was the girl scared to be herself and scared to speak my mind. I had lost one of my best friends who embarrassed me in front of the whole school and the boy I was in love with didn't like me like that. My brother didn't want to be seen with me. And Tiffany was Tiffany.

Then my junior year I went to a new school and a new town made new friends and finally learned how to be myself.

My senior year I decided to come back home and face all the things I left behind and it was one of the best things I ever done. I made new friends and forgave ally. Me and my brother finally started to get along and actually became friends. The boy I always loved finally loves me and we are really happy together. This year was the year that I wanted to make count I wanted to be the person I always wanted to be and stop being scared and come out of my shell and show everyone The New Me.
