《Mr. Harsh & Her》Chapter 27

Alexander's POV
She stopped moving when she realised that it was me carrying her. I yanked the back entrance door open and walked to my car. Again, I heard the sweet sound of Rachel's giggle.
"Oh, it's you," she said and laced her arms around my neck with a bright smile when I set her down on the ground.
"And you're completely wasted," I said and guided her into the car. Surprisingly she obliged quite easily and I made my way to the drivers seat.
She leaned her head back into the seat and began yapping away nonsense as I reversed. "Did you know that a giraffes tongue is 50cm long? And that the snow on Venus is metal?" she said and looked at me with wide eyes as if she couldn't believe it herself.
I glanced at her and continued driving letting her blabber whatever she wanted. Checking my rear view mirror, I was suspicious of a black SUV that was behind us. Looking closely I saw that all the windows were tinted and there was no number plate. I sped up a little but to my relief it took a left turn.
"... said that length matters but I prefer girth!"
Now that got my attention and I lopsidedly smiled at her childish antics. "You prefer girth?"
"Yes... Well no. Do you know what I really like? My husband has both but I like something else of his." She began taking out her high heels and getting comfortable.
"And what would that be?" I asked intrigued. She ignored me and leaned forward on the dashboard resting her head on it. I gently pushed her back into her seat and checked to see if her seatbelt was buckled which I'm glad it was.
"I'm starving!" she randomly exclaimed and her stomach rumbled at that exact timing.
I used this opportunity wisely. "I'll get you food, if you answer the question that I asked you."
She wiggled in her seat restless and now her dress was all the way up, exposing her panties that had the potential to kill me.
"What question?"
"You said you liked something else that your husband has. What is it?"
She looked up in deep thought for a minute until she regained her thought process. "Oh. Right."

She laughed some more and I was eager to know what she was talking about. However when I looked over I saw that she was passed out already.
I groaned at not getting an answer and pulled up in the driveway. I parked the car and went over to Rachel's side.
She seemed too far gone to wake up so I decided to carry her. As I was carrying her upstairs into our bedroom she suddenly woke up with a sour look on her face and immediately clutched her belly. I put her down and as soon as she regained her balance she sprinted to the bathroom.
I knew what was happening. It wouldn't be a night out without picking up trashy fast food after clubbing and then vomiting from the amount of alcohol ingested. I've had enough of those when I was in my early twenties. It was a shame that Rachel didn't get her pick at greasy junk food but it was for the best because I could hear her heave as she let out the contents of her stomach.
I was mindful to not get angry at her. She was after all still a very young, inexperienced woman with a crappy past. If this was a chance at normalcy for her, then by all means I would let her do as she pleased. Most importantly, I'd best not forget that I was 10 years her senior and she still had a lot to experience.
I heard the shower running and went to check on her in the bathroom. I opened the door to see her basking in the warm water, sobered up from letting the alcohol out. I fetched a towel for her and left it on the counter along with a loose nightdress for her to change into when she was done.
I would love to join her in the shower and fuck her senseless, but I didn't want to embarrass her considering the state she was in. I'm a rough man, and right now Rachel was tender.
Stepping out of the room, I walked to the end of the hall to check in on my self-invited guest. Barging in I saw Liam sprawled out on the bed with 2 empty bottles of alcohol on the ground and a foolish smile on his face.

I closed the door and went downstairs into the kitchen to get some food for Rachel. I opened the fridge and looked at the fresh produce but I knew that I'd burn the kitchen down if I even attempted to make toast. I was that useless with my culinary skills.
Deciding against it, I ordered out. Grabbing 2 headache pills from the cabinet and a bottle of water, I went upstairs to check on my wife.
She was busy blow drying her hair and checking her phone simultaneously. She looked up and gave me a little smile. "Thank you for taking care of me," she whispered. I nodded and handed her the pills. "Best take it now for the morning."
The doorbell rang and I went to collect the pizza. The door from the garage that connects to the house was left ajar and I could've swore that I closed it before I left to fetch Rachel. Nevertheless I closed it shut.
Rachel came downstairs and I placed the box in front if her. "Here, a quick fix." She took a piece and then gobbled another 5 pieces down practically finishing the whole box herself. I watched her in amusement as she ate.
"Sorry," she said a bit embarrassed. "I was really hungry."
"Ready for bed?"
She nodded and took a sip of her water. "Yes, I just need to brush my teeth first."
"Liam is staying in the guestroom tonight. Just thought I should let you know so that you're not alarmed when you see him."
"Oh, alright. I'll have breakfast ready before he wakes hopefully," she said and made her way upstairs. It really wasn't her obligation to do so, yet she insisted.
I once again made sure that all the doors were locked and turned off the lights. Something didn't sit well with me tonight.
When I went upstairs, Rachel was already tucked in and fast asleep. I took a quick shower and then got in next to her, holding her closely with her back snuggled into my chest. I couldn't sleep tonight. I was on edge for some reason.
Just as I was about to finally drift off, a loud crash woke us. Rachel screamed loudly and cowered back into me. What the fuck was that?
"Shh, princess. Calm down. It's alright, calm down. Wait here while I go check," I said calmly but on the inside I was anything but calm.
"Alexander, no!"
"I'll be okay, just don't leave the room." I went to the closet quickly and grabbed my gun from the safe. "Don't step out of the room, Rachel," I said sternly to which she nodded with frightened eyes.
I turned on the lights when I reached the living room and was confused to see everything in order. Nothing was out of place. I checked the whole house to see everything where it was supposed to be but then I saw the door leading into the house from the garage was once again opened.
"Fuck," I cursed knowing that I should have trusted my gut instinct the first time. I held my gun in front of me and made my way into the garage.
Turning on the lights, I was fuming at the sight in front of me. Somebody has a fucking death wish from me. Rachel's car was completely trashed. Scratch marks were everywhere and her tyres were slashed. The glass from the windshield and rear windscreen were cracked and lying in a million pieces on the floor.
I walked around the garage to ensure that nobody else was there.
"Alexander?"
I turned around and by reflex grabbed the person who caught me off guard and pressed the gun into their head.
I calmed down when I saw it was Rachel. "I told you to fucking stay in the room! What didn't you understand?" I growled at her but pulled her closer to me to keep her safe.
She looked in front of me visibly shocked. "What happened to my car?"
I closed the door abruptly and made sure it was locked this time. I didn't want Rachel to worry. "We'll deal with this in the morning later. Let's go back to bed."
I softly grabbed her arm and pulled her with me seeing that she refused to agree. "Walk, Rachel!"
"But, my car?" she said looking back at the closed door.
"It's just a fucking car. We'll deal with it later."
