Luca stood near the door his jaw clenched and form rigid. Fucking Doctor. How dare he eye fuck Sophia like that? He didn't actually want to leave her with him but had to look at the bigger picture. They were here for Jessica. Hopefully the doctor will too busy to try taking a look at his Tesoro.

Leaning his head back against the wall, his mind wanders to this evening. He smiles remembering how he had her wrapped in his arms or constantly touching her. She didn't mind but rather embraced it. Hearing the truth is hard and he will have to convince her to fight but for right now, at least she wasn't pushing him away anymore. They could begin to see where this was heading. He knew what he wanted but he needed to make sure his Tesoro wanted the same.

"Mr. Sanford, would you like a drink?"

He opens his eyes to find Ms. Wood looking at him. "That would be nice Ms. Wood."

He notices that Brad's eyes are trained on the door. He wonders if Brad may have feelings for Jessica... or worse, Sophia. He continues looking at Brad who doesn't even spare him a glance.

"Don't worry boss, I'm still more attracted to you than the girls."

His eyes widen at his bluntness. His arms coming up to cross over his chest earning a chuckle from the man. Brad glances quickly at him before turning back to the door his own body leaning against the apposing wall. Luca thinks for a moment about his statement but he continues.

"Those two have never had it easy and Jessica is my person."

"You care a great deal about her?"

"If I wasn't gay, I would be married to her by now." Brad states in all seriousness.

Luca just nods his head not sure what to say. He has never met someone like Brad. He openly admits how much he cares for a woman and yet is attracted only to men. It is odd to say the least but in a way he understands. You can't help who you love or who you are attracted to.

"You care about baby Sophia?" Luca looks the man directly in the eyes not giving anything away. A smile appears on Brad's lips as he looks down to his shoes. "You may not say it boss but it is evident."

He goes to retort but the door opens and the doctor walks out with one of the nurses.

"All went well. The nurse is cleaning her up and you can go in a moment."

His eyes looking at Luca's for a brief moment before he hastily begins talking to the nurse and walks by. A loud snort is heard making Luca snap his attention to Brad.

"See"

The door opens again and another nurse looks to them. "Only one at a time."

Luca looks at Brad and nods to him. He knows the woman in there needs him right now. Brad takes a deep breath and straightens his spine before walking in. The nurse opens the door for him before stepping out and nodding at Luca.

"Here you go"

He looks to his right to find Taylor walking to him with a cup of coffee. He takes it from her giving her a small 'thank you'. She returns it with a smile before looking around. He realizes she must be looking for Brad.

"He's inside."

She nods her head as the door opens again and Sophia's head pops out. Her smile is wide making Luca relax as she steps out. Her eyes turning to Taylor, "You can go in Taylor."

The little brunette doesn't wait to walk by the red hair beauty to find her friend and colleague. Sophia closes the door gently before practically jumping into Luca's arms. His own arms tightening around her as holds him firmly. Her breath fanning his neck causing him to shiver.

"She's beautiful Luca."

"I'm glad Tesoro. Jessica's okay?"

"Exhausted but happy."

She pulls back to look him in the eyes. Her emerald gems holding utter joy and a wide smile resting on her face. Luca melts leaning down to kiss her gently wanting to bask in her happiness. Her fingers grace his neck before reaching into his hair causing his hold to tighten on her. Hearing a throat clearing they turn around to find Taylor's head peaking through the door.

"Momma wants her sister."

Sophia smiles back at Luca before pulling away but instantly taking his hand into hers intertwining their fingers tugging him along. He lets her lead him into the room. She doesn't release his hand as they walk in. Luca finds Brad sitting on the bed with the baby in his arms with Jessica under his other arm looking barely awake. The tired woman looking to him with a lazy smile.

"Thank you for coming Mr. Sanford."

"Congratulations Ms. Andrews."

"Please just Jessica."

He gives her nod before she turns back to the baby. Luca's eyes traveling to the newborn safely tucked in Brad's arms. The man holding the little bundle smiling down at the baby with so much care. Sophia releases his hand walking over to Brad. The man finally looking up lifting his arm with the baby so she may take her. Sophia gathers the baby in her arms before slowly walking over to where Luca stands.

"Luca, meet Destiny"

He slowly looks down at the girl. As Sophia had said, she is beautiful. It isn't the baby that has captured his attention though but the woman holding her. The image of her with a baby in her arms leaving a warmth in his chest. He knows that this could be their future one day if only she would allow it.

"Sleep beauty"

He snaps his attention to Brad. The man is holding the drowsy new mother in his arms while rubbing her back. It is clear that he cares greatly about Jessica. He wonders if maybe he is father but doesn't deem it appropriate to ask such a question. It is not his business whether or not he is. He notices how Jessica curls up to him while he rest his chin on her head holding her closely.

"May I see her Sophia?"

He's snapped out of his thoughts hearing Taylor's voice near. He looks down to realize she was standing with her arms out to little Destiny. Sophia nods gently handing her over to the woman who has tears in her eyes. The brunette holding her carefully before kissing her forehead tenderly.

He feels arms encircle his waist causing his arms to reciprocate instantly. The smell of strawberries hitting his nose as she hugs him. He drops his head tucking it safely in the auburn locks before kissing her neck gently.

"Thank you for coming" Her words spoken softly against his ear.

"Anything for you Tesoro" He can feel her lips tilt up making him smile as well.

The baby begins to whimper before a soft cry is heard. All except the sleeping mother turn to Taylor. The woman looks panicked as she looks at everyone. Sophia outstretches her arms and Taylor doesn't waste anytime placing her there. Sophia cradles her in her arms as Luca encircles both of them. A moment of silence passes as the baby silences in the care of her aunt's arms.

Luca looks up to find Brad holding a camera. "That is going to be a good one."

"Did you have to ruin it Brad?" Taylor whines coming to sit down in the chair at Jessica's side.

Sophia giggles gently not caring as she continues holding her niece. Luca's attention returning to the two girls in his arms before he kisses Sophia on her temple. Another click is heard but he doesn't look away this time. Some time passes as Taylor and Brad continue their banter back and forth. Jessica in deep sleep between them.

None of it matters to the couple holding the infant. Luca can see Sophia as a mother of their children one day and he wants her to see that. One step at a time he keeps telling himself. He watches as she smiles so adoringly down at the newborn. Her fingers gently rubbing at her face and little hands. His own hand coming up to rub the baby's head softly.

A few hours later and Taylor has fallen asleep along with Brad. Sophia and Luca have rotated to the couch where his Tesoro had fallen asleep against his shoulder as he held the baby in his arm. The room was quiet and the light was dimmed due to the time. It was easily two or three in the morning.

"Mr. Sanford"

He looks up to find Jessica awake looking at him and then the baby. He goes to stand up but she stops him. He relaxes back into the couch still holding the sleeping child and his little beauty in his arms.

"Thank you" He looks up at her and realizes why she is thanking him. He glances down at the sleeping woman against him. Jessica's eyes also looking at her. "I know it won't be easy-"

"She has told me Jessica"

The room goes silent and he looks up to find her with wide glistening eyes. Her lip wobbling slightly even in the darkness of the room, he can see the overwhelming emotions. "She told you?"

He nods his head rubbing her back gently. Her body curling more into him making him smile. "I'm presuming the others don't know."

"No... I was the only one who knows that I'm aware of." She goes silent for a moment. "I can't believe she told you. She's never told anyone."

Luca smiles down kissing the top of her sleeping head. "I'm glad she told me."

"Mr. Sanford, I need to know... What is your intentions for my sister?"

He looks up to her. The sister's eyes holding intrigue but also caution. He answers without hesitation.

"I love her." Her eyes widening at his bluntness. She wasn't expecting it. "I want her to fight"

"I want her to fight as well. The last time nearly killed her."

"How old was she?"

"Fourteen"

Luca's arm involuntarily tightening around her making her squirm before relaxing in her slumber. "She has engraved herself in my heart."

"Then we have a job ahead of us." He looks back up at her. A tear runs down her cheek but her eyes are determined. "I can't lose my sister and if you care as you have said, you can't lose her either."

"I agree."

They both go silent before the baby begins to awaken. Her little eyes looking up at Luca making him smile at the innocent eyes. Her little whimpers begin to stir Sophia awake. He gets up taking her to Jessica who easily takes her before beginning to feed her. His attention staying on the red hair beauty who is rubbing the sleepiness in her eyes. He walks back over sitting on the couch.

"Luca?"

He kisses her forehead making her sigh before relaxing sideways positioning Sophia to be laying on top of him. Her incoherent words making him smile as she easily falls back asleep. His fingers running through her soft locks as he succumbs to his own slumber. Thoughts of his talk with the eldest sister making him smile as he drifts away.

"They're adorable"

"He's hot"

"Brad!"

"Shh, you guys will wake them"

"It's his fault! Still say he needs that muzzle"

"You need a muzzle"

"You two, knock it off!"

"She started it-"

"He started it-"

"Okay, both of you go get coffee. Out now!"

He slowly opens his eyes finding two figures leaving the room. He looks down to find Sophia still laying on him. He blinks multiple times looking around the room. He finds Jessica holding Destiny smiling and talking lowly to her.

"Are they gone yet?"

He looks down to find Sophia's eyes close still. Jessica's eyes turning to her baby sister. "You're safe."

Sophia's eyes open before she sits up making Luca groan. She gets off of him and tugs on his arm making him sit up. A chuckle is heard and he looks to find Sophia glancing downwards before returning to his eyes. He feels heat creep up his neck as he stands and turns away from the ladies rotating his pants before excusing himself to relieve himself.

He returns to find the room full with much chatter and smiles. He walks in and realizes how they have treated more like a member of the group and not the boss. He liked that. He sat with Sophia who just gently laid her head on his shoulder as everyone continued talking about anything and everything.
