Sophia took a deep breath exhaling slowly before opening her eyes to look at herself in the mirror. She dapped her nose once more watching as the red finally stopped dribbling out. After rinsing the crimson down the restroom sink, she wiped everything down and tried to straighten herself out. She barely could stand today but knew that Luca had back to back meetings today. She ran her fingers through the wig once more and huffed before turning to the door heading back to her desk.

She has now made it through 6 of her chemo treatments. The first ones didn't effect her so much but these last two have really started to wear on her. She had tried to hide her exhaustion but Luca had caught on each time. He constantly asked her if she was okay which she would always confirm but her treatment yesterday wiped her clean. When she woke up this morning, Luca practically demanded she stay home and only relented when she said she would only manage her desk and not do the meetings. He still didn't want her to but she left him little choice stating she was going to come in with or without his permission.

Sophia turns her attention to the elevator finding Taylor stepping out. A beautiful smile lit her face until her eyes fell on Sophia. Her face contorting to worry as she stepped to her. Sophia was standing by her desk and wobbling slightly. She tried forcing a smile but it was weak all the same. Feeling dizzy, she began to tip but Taylor wrapped an arm around her waist balancing her.

"Soph? Hey! What's wrong?"

Sophia goes to answer but feels her eyes roll backwards and her whole body gives out suddenly. Taylor quickly gripping her as best as she could holding her up while moving to get her chair behind the desk. It takes a moment and many grunts but she gets her in the chair where she is still collapsed. She is quick to check her pulse finding a very low heart rate. She is quick to react reaching for the phone calling 911. She then calls Sam at the front desk letting him know where to the send them once they arrive. She turns back to Sophia trying to move her head so she can get a better view of her face.

Taylor is terrified at how ghostly she has become. Sophia had not only lost color but lost more weight which is saying a lot since she was already small. Her cheeks were slightly sunken in and her collar bones were visible. It was a shell of the girl she met those months ago. Jessica had come back to work a few weeks back after finding an excellent day care for Destiny. Taylor had sadly not got to see as much of the red head beauty as she would like. This was the first time in a few weeks she had got to come up to visit her. Mr. Sanford had practically stolen away her from everyone. She couldn't be too upset, she knew that both Sophia and the boss had fallen deeply for each other and were in the honeymoon faze. She continued holding her friend's face before cursing under her breath. She quickly calls Jessica.

"Sophia?"

"Jess, it's me. Get up here."

"Taylor, where's Soph?"

"Jessica, get up here now." She doesn't wait for a reply and hangs up. A soft whimper leaving Sophia making her eyes snap to hers. "Soph- Can you hear me?"

She doesn't make any further sound making her concern grow ten fold. She doesn't have to wait long for the elevator doors to ding and fast steps are heard to her.

"Sophia!" Jessica comes taking over cradling her sister's face trying to shake her slightly awake. "Sophia, wake up sis. Please open your eyes."

Her voice coming out shaky as Taylor could tell her tears were barely being held back. A minute passes and Sophia's desks rings. Taylor snaps back reaching for it as Sam lets her know that the paramedics are on their way up. She hangs up after giving a soft thank you. The elevator opens again and two men in uniform rush over to the woman.

"What happened?" One of the paramedics says moving in front of Sophia and testing her pulse.

Jessica turns to Taylor with tears running down, Taylor turns her attention back to the paramedic. "I came up here to visit and found her barely being able to stand up. I rushed forward right before she collapsed."

"How long ago was this?"

"Maybe ten minutes." Taylor says trying to stay calm even as her heart thumped wildly.

She reached for Jessica's hand gripping it tightly as the watched on feeling hopeless. The men started getting out things from their bag including a flash light forcing Sophia's eye open as the other listened to her heart.

"M-my sister is ba-battling Leukemia." Jessica barely can get out but the paramedics look to each other before quickly nodding and reaching in their bag.

"You said ten minutes miss?"

"Yes"

"WHAT HAPPENED?!?"

Taylor's and Jessica's eyes snap hearing the roaring voice of their boss as he runs to her. The few men from the meeting freezing at the sight of paramedics surrounding the secretary's desk. Luca is quick to her side trying to turn her to him but the paramedics are already repacking their bags.

"We need to take her to the hospital immediately."

Jessica brakes down causing Taylor to hold her as she practically crumbles to her knees. Luca's eyes are wild as he runs his hand through his hair. The first paramedic goes to pick her up but is shoved harshly followed by Luca swiftly lifting her in his arms. The paramedic doesn't say anything and goes directly to the elevator followed by the second one who is getting an oxygen mask out and placing it over Sophia's nose and mouth while she remains in Luca's arms. He looks down with glossy eyes as his love lays unconscious in his arms. The elevator dings and he doesn't bother saying anything as he gets in with the paramedics.

Taylor makes Jessica sit down in Sophia's chairs before her attention drifts to the business men. She puts on a brave face turning to them and straightening her spine. "There is nothing left to see gentlemen, please find your way out. Thank you."

The men seem to understand and nod before turning hitting the elevator button as Taylor's attention turns back to the broken woman before her. She kneels down in front as Jessica continues to sob. Her hands going to Jessica's.

"Jessica, listen to me..." She continues to wail but Taylor continues, "this is not the time. She needs you right now. Find your strength-"

"I-I can't T-Taylor. Sh-She's my r-rock." Jessica says trying to breath but feeling herself having troubles.

"You can. You must." Taylor says giving her a reassuring smile. "You are stronger than you give yourself credit Jess. Your sister needs you... Take a deep breath and exhale."

Taylor begins taking deep breaths that Jessica slowly mimics before calming down. Taylor reaches for the phone once again quickly dialing the only number she knows that could help. She hung up and turned back to Jessica who was still holding her head in her hands. Her face downcasted to the floor.

"Is Destiny still at daycare?"

"Ye-yes." Jessica says trying to keep herself calm.

Taylor nods as the elevator dings. Brad steps out looking around confused before his eyes fall on Jessica and he quickly jogs to them leaning down brushing back her hair looking her over before turning to Taylor for answers.

"No time. Take Jessica to St. Marcs. Sophia just went with Luca."

He nods going to lift her up but Jessica shakes her head finally find her inner strength. He stands holding a hand out for her which she takes grasping tightly as they turn going back to the elevator. Taylor takes her own shaky breath after the door finally closes leaving her alone in her thoughts. She takes a minute to try rain in her own tears before shaking her head and turning to Sophia's computer. She pulls up the calendar and calls the necessary clients for the day rescheduling them. She then gathers up Sophia's belongings from the computer and walks over to Mr. Sanford's office. Biting her lip, she hesitates to enter but says fuck it and goes in towards his desk. She was happy to find he left everything in plane sight on his desk. She gathers in phone and briefcase praying he has his keys. She leaves heading to the elevator to go down to legal. If anyone can help, it's Mark.

She walks briskly ignoring everyone she passes heading directly to his office. She barely knocks before barging in. He is startled finding Taylor but she quickly begins to explain and his eyes change to worry but nods and tells her he will handle everything from here. She nods trying to not cry but begins to fail feeling the depth of the incident finally catch up to her. Mark gathers her in his arms and allows her to cry for a moment. Feeling her calm down, he steps back and tells her to go. She nods once again and leaves not bothering to look at everyone giving her strange looks for her tear stricken cheeks.

Luca could feel his emotions on overdrive as he continued holding Sophia's hand as they ambulance siren wailed. He knew she wasn't up for today but the stubborn woman she is would not take no for an answer. He was trying to protect her but worried he was being to controlling. Now he is cursing himself for not sticking with his instincts. Feeling his phone vibrate, he pulls it out to find his father calling him. He ignores the call and pockets his phone again. They pull up to Emergency Room entrance and the paramedic made quick work of getting the gurney down while Luca climbed down before going back to her side. The paramedic pushed her while Luca continued holding her hand.

They were ushered through the waiting area but Luca was held back by a nurse. He tried shoving her away but she said he was not allowed to go back there. He couldn't breathe watching as they wheeled her away. He felt a piece of himself breaking now completely helpless. All he could do was wait for any news. He paced for a few minutes before hearing his phone buzzed again. He pulled it out finding his father call again. He answers it pulling it to his ear.

"Luca, what happened? Mark just called me saying Sophia collapsed."

"Dad" His voice breaking from the single term.

His father goes silent not hearing him call that in so many years. "... I'm here son. I'm here."

He cries for the first time in a long time. His body trembling from the force of the cry. Neither person says anything for a moment.

"Lil' man?"

"Mom... I need you." He says feeling defeated.

"We're on our way son." His mother and father continue trying to comfort him as she hears them getting into the car.

"Luca?"

He lifts his head finding Jessica walk in with her hands clasped together. Brad directly beside her. She doesn't bother for pretense for the first time and walks to him engulfing him in her arms. His arms going to wrap around forgetting the call. She rubs his back whispering to him that everything will be fine. Brad stands back not saying being there for support as well. Luca clutches her and cries on her shoulder.

After a few minutes he finally releases her as she tugs his hand directing him to a chair. He sits down feeling numb. All he wants is to know that she is okay. Some reassurance that she will be fine. His eyes drift to the doors she was rushed through and all he wants to do is rush through him demanding to see her. A weight on his hand makes him look down finding Jessica's hand on his clutching it as she forces a reassuring smile even as silent tears run down her cheeks. He then realizes his phone is in his other hand and looks at it to find his parent's no longer on the call. He pockets the cell and holds Jessica's hands firmly trying to draw on her strength.

It didn't take long for his parent's to show up rushing directly to him. He found solace in his parent's embrace. Both hugging him firmly telling him that everything will be okay. His mother then turns him so she could continue holding him in her embrace him. His father turns to Jessica shaking her hand before Brad's.

"Sophia Andrews?"

Luca's eyes snap to the unknown voice to find a doctor standing at the previous door and he is quick to step to him followed by all the others. The doctor looks around at the amount of people. "All of you?"

"She's my sister."

The doctor nods turning to Jessica. "Your sister's body has become to weak from the chemo. We need to do the bone marrow transplant now. I understand she has a match, is that correct?"

"Yes, it's my daughter. She's-"

"Here"

All heads turn to the entrance finding Taylor carrying a sleeping Destiny in her arms.
