"do you love her more than me?"
i was quite surprised to hear that coming out of her mouth. I could only trailed off an awkward laughter.
"what are you saying, haneul? I love you and eunhee differently. it cannot be the same."
I explained which earned me a creasing brows from haneul. she took a step closer to me and stared at my face. haneul was definitely acting weird and it worried me.
"different? how?"
haneul questioned again, her head did a subtle tilt to the side.
"well, I love eunhee as a husband and I love you as a sibling."
I smiled sincerely and a long hum was what I got as a reply. then, the both of us stayed silent for a while. the cold evening breeze passed through us as we stood there like statues.
"i get it, I get it. now go to your wife eunhee. she must be worried sick about you and I would like to see her in the future. goodbye, jungkook!"
haneul spoke before sprinting really fast. I called her name several times but she didn't turn around and ran away - soon, her silhouette disappeared from my sight and I was left alone.
'what's with haneul? she's weird today and her questions..'
though, I quickly dismissed my thoughts and remembered that I have to find eunhee who isn't picking up her phone at all. that problematic girl! can she not cause troubles for me for at least one day?
with that, I took my steps away from the graveyard and went straight to the train station from before.
after an hour, I finally arrived at the motel we were staying in. I panted heavily, after running non-stop. catching my breaths, I glanced at the sky and saw that the sun was going down and the sky was painted yellow and orange.

'eunhee is probably sleeping? maybe that's why she isn't picking up her phone.'
I entered the motel and went back to our room. after stepping inside the room, I saw that the room was empty. our luggages were still unpacked and everything in the room was still neat.
'maybe she is in the bathroom.'
I thought to myself and reached for the doorknob. but I immediately halted and gave it a thought.
'what if she was taking a shower?'
my hand slowly let go of the doorknob. if I was really to open the door and eunhee is in there, she would probably hit me with the shower pipe. it sent a chills down my back thinking of getting killed by a shower pipe.
*buzz! buzz!*
suddenly, the phone in my coat vibrated. a smile was immediately carved on my face as I hastily took out my phone - thinking it was eunhee. but the smile quickly faltered when I saw that it was an unknown number that had called me.
feeling upset, I still accepted the call with slight irritation.
"hello?"
I said, with a hint of irritation in my tone.
"hi. is this mr. jeon?"
I creased my brows. the person who was talking to me sounded like a middle-aged man with raspy and deep voice. but why is this person calling me?
"yes."
at that moment, I dropped my phone and my mind went blank when the man said the next words to me.
"mr. jeon. please come to the kang dong hospital. your wife was involved in an accident."
be prepared! this story is gonna ends soon. only about two more chapters hehe. after this, I will publish a story called 'my seducer' and I hope yall support that story too ❤ and should I do a bonus chapter after this story ends? give me your thoughts!
