After Jungkook had pleaded Mae to go and keep a watch on Y/N for a while, she agreed without hesitation. She entered the room to be greeted by medical equipments and the lifeless body of Y/N laying down hooked up in those.

Her heart clenched at the sight of her sister like friend. Y/N was the youngest among them all so it was sure that they all adored her. Every single person felt guilty for neglecting the younger like that and leaving her all by herself, traumatized and hurt for almost three years.

Mae let out a painful sigh as she lightly patted the cheeks of the younger and said

"Come back Y/N...We need you. Everyone here does.... especially Jungkook, he is a mess without you. Don't be so mean... please come back" She said lightly chuckling

She sighed and sat back with her head hung low. The nurse came in with few medical appliances. Mae looked up to check if it really was the nurse that takes care of her everyday. After the incident at the hospital, everyone has been extra cautious of the people around Y/N. They did not want to take the risk of losing her again. Mae huffed in relief to see it was the regular nurse. She went back to looking down.

After the nurse was done with her work, she left the room. Mae was thinking to use the bathroom because of the end of the dress poking out, irritating her skin. She got up went to fix it. Closing the door of the washroom, behind her she started fixing.

However suddenly, hands twitched. Eyes start to move in flickering movements. Opening the eyes just to have them shut back again after experiencing the unbearable amount of light after the long hibernation.

Mae was done fixing her clothes and got out of the bathroom. She turned around and she gasped. Blinking few times, she ran towards the moving body and looked at it shocked.

"Y-Y/N?" Mae spoke out with a cracked voice as tears started to build up in her eyes

Y/N's eyes slowly opened as she looked around confused with a pounding head. Y/N held her head in pain to notice the cannula attached to it, as she made an attempt to sit up only to fall on her back again. Mae snapped back to reality when Y/N groaned in pain. She got startled and then realised Y/N needed help. She hurried to her and helped her sit up by putting the pillow on her back . Y/N looked at her and addressed her in a weak and raspy voice

"Mae...How are you?" She asked

Mae burst out crying as she hugged her little sister in her embrace tightly. Y/N lightly chuckled at the elder's reaction. Mae lightly hit her back and said

"Miserable and it's all your fault bitch!"

"What did I do?" Y/N asked weakly, followed by a cough.

"'What did I do?' You go into a coma for two months and don't bother waking up! Only giving signs of leaving and then you ask this? What a bitch" She exclaimed lightly mimicking her

"I was in a coma for two months?" Y/N asked chuckling a little shocked but her weakness covered it

"Yeah anyway now since you have woken up on the perfect day! Let's get you ready to be the birthday gift! Lets go!" Mae said

She pulled Y/N not realising that she was still hooked up into machines. Y/N hissed in pain making Mae flinch and apologise. The nurse came in and her eyes widened. She hurried to Y/N and began checking up on her as she detached all the medical appliances from her body only the bandages ,wrapping and the cannula remaining. Mae helped Y/N up and asked

"Can you walk?"

"No..." Y/N spoke as hissed at her numb legs. A wheelchair was brought for her.

Mae assisted Y/N on the wheelchair and pushed her to the bathroom. She helped Y/N change her clothes. They came out and Mae sat Y/N by the bed. The door to the room creaked open and Jimin came in speaking.

"Mae are--" He immediately stopped in shock when he saw Y/N

He blinked a few times and rubbed his eyes a few times to check if he was dreaming the sight in front of him.

"Y/N... It's you" He breathed out

"Yeah I am so happy! She woke up on the right day, this will be a memorable birthday for him!" Mae exclaimed

"How are you?" Jimin asked Y/N

"I am well I guess" Y/N replied

He went forward and started to pat her head and hugged her as he squatted down to her level and spoke

"You have no idea how much we all missed you! Especially Jungkook, he was a fucking mess without you. He spent day and nights only by your side, no hint of emotion for anything except you" He stated

Y/N's heart clenched at the mention of his name. She remembers him saving her from Joon almost raping her and hugging him tight when she was insecure which made a light tint of pink creep upon her face. However, something on her lingered that she should not give into him so easily no matter how deadly she loved him. He hurt her dignity and she was not letting him off so easy.

"Y/N I just want to say we are really sorry for what we have done. Even though we have apologised before but that does not make up for how much we all have hurt you. The time you were gone we realised how much of an important role you played. Your like Jungkook's life and he is really dearly to us and seeing him like this hurt us badly. Also seeing our friend in a lifeless condition isn't a good sight trust me" He said chuckling

Y/N cracked a small smile which made Mae and Jimin giggle from relief to see the younger return.

"Umm Y/N I know Jungkook hurt you but you know that it was because of the fake information. I am not asking you to give into him immediately as he should suffer for what he did but... today it's his birthday so can you at least be a little loose on him?" He pleaded and Y/N sensed the tension

"I was not planning to go rough on him anyway but he has hurt my dignity and my trust in him is broken. I cannot forgive him just like that, I will not be rude but he has to work hard if he wants me back. As I am a human and my feelings were taken for granted. I am not going to let him off so easy, he has to work" Y/N said in a weak voice

"Of course he does! We will make him but just for today are you ready to be his birthday gift?" He asked wriggling his eyebrows making Mae giggle

"One day wouldn't mind I guess" She said chuckling

TIME BACK TO PRESENT

After Mae had gone to bring back what she wanted, I turned back to the scenario of the city lights. My mind only lingered to Y/N. Suddenly, everyone went quite. I got curious on what had happened but just ignored it. My head shot up straight when Taehyung hyung spoke

"Y-Y/N?"

I turned back immediately. My face shocked. I could not believe with my two eyes that it was really her. I stood frozen to my spot as Mae bought her on a wheelchair cause she could not walk properly.

Baekhyun ran to her and hugged tight in his arms while crying. She lightly smiled. He let go of her as one by one everyone came forward and hugged her tight. I still stood shocked with lips parted, eyes not blinking. My entire body was in the state of shock and stood glued to my position.

Everyone was down hugging her when Mae held her and started to bring her to me. My body was still frozen eyes glued to her. She looked at me with a small smile but I could not process anything. It felt like a dream which I never want to wake up from.

"Done seeing your gift? Now I am taking it away bye" Mae said as she was escorting Y/N away

I immediately held onto Y/N's wheelchair and pulled her infront me causing her almost fall from the jerk but I was on time to hold her. My lips started to quiver as I let out the breath I didn't know I was holding.

She looked at me with a mixture of a small smile and intense gaze. I kept looking at her with my quivering lips as my hand rested on her arm.

"Guys let's eat cake! Let's give them space" Baekhyun said escorting everyone out of the balcony.

He turned the lights off only the city lights reflecting enough to see eachother.

"Jungkook..."

The city reflected on Y/N's face. Her eye sparkled at the contact of the lights. She looked pale but to Jungkook she looked like the most beautiful girl on Earth

"Jungkook..." Y/N lightly spoke

That was enough for Jungkook to snap back to reality and burst out crying. He pulled by her arm into his embrace as his hand down her waist the other other over her shoulder. He tightly held onto her while crying out loud, making sure she does not fall.

Y/N was a bit shocked at first but eventually hugged him back. His grip on her kept getting stronger with the sound of his cries. Y/N patted him on the back for comfort as her own tears came down at the sight and the feeling of his embrace after so long.

He kissed her cheeks repeatedly without any break. Y/N cutely giggled at that making his heart flutter. He cupped her cheek as he went down to her hand back to her neck.

He placed a kiss on her forehead tracing down to her eyes. He placed soft kisses in both of them as Y/N endured the feeling. He kissed her cheeks yet again. He went down to her neck as he kissed all over in swift motion. Y/N let out another giggle at the ticklish feeling making him smile against her neck.

He placed his forehead on her as he started at the last stop. Without hesitation he attached his lips to hers. They moved in sync as they devoured the ecstasy of the feeling. Butterflies started racing in both their stomach. They finally detached from each other.

"Happy birthday...." Y/N causing her breath to hitch against Jungkook's lips

His tears build up again

"I am sorry Y/N I am really sorry! I am really sorry" He said in a cracked voice

"Right now I can only accept your apology but I can't forgive you so easily......." She said

"I shouldn't be forgiven. I am such a jerk after all" He stated

"True but let me tell you this, you have to work hard and.... you have to start from zero if want me back in your life cause what you did not only broke my heart but also my trust over y-you" She informed in a cracked voice

"I will do that if required! I will do every single possible thing to embrace you back to me!" He said determined making Y/N chuckled

"But remember this... That no matter what I love you. Always have and .....always will" He said

"You heard her!" A voice spoke making them both look at the door

Baekhyun stood there with his hands crossed over his chest as he marched towards them

"Starting form zero, that means no touching!" He said detaching them helping Y/N back on the wheelchair.

"What no!!" Jungkook whined

"Sorry but you will have the eyes of an overprotective brother on you from now on in the process of impressing her again. And trust me I am great at being a barrier when it comes to my sister" Baekhyun mentioned

Jungkook pouted making Y/N giggle.

"Let's go home Baekhyun and Happy birthday again Jungkook" She said pulling her brother's sleeves

"Where are you going?" Jungkook asked confused

"Home" She simply answered

"This is your home too right?" He said convincingly

"It's not my house Jungkook. It's yours" She reminded

Jungkook's palm started sweating at her choice of words as he nervously asked.

"What?"

Her next words made his heart sink

"We are not together anymore remember?"
