She was now in front of Rafael's office. She hasn't bothered herself with knocking, she knew she could get inside no matter what was happening there, Rafael has trusted her and he has been slowly introducing her to the business both legal and illegal.

"Rafael?"

"Yes, Eli?" He asked and looked up from his documents after she entered his office.

This is how he started to call her ever since she got back home. She liked it but it's not important, what's important then? Documents she was holding in her hands.

"My end of the deal" she started handing it to him. Right after the court case she went to her new lawyer and asked him to draft these documents.

The 50% of her company shares would now belong to Rafael.

Thankfully, Eliana was no longer afraid of giving them to him. She trusted Rafael more than anyone. She didn't feel the sense of loss either since half of the shares were more than enough for her. She was never a greedy person, neither did she desire more than she could have.

But she understood that her husband was quite different from her. He was a very ambitious person. The owner of a huge conglomerate, leading the most dangerous mafia organization in the city. Rafael was responsible for the rapid development of his business therefore she expected him to ask for more than they agreed to. This is just how he was. Her lovely business shark.

However, Rafael's response shocked her.

"Thank you, now you can tear it up. I'm no longer interested in this exchange" he said his voice was always cold, his face unreadable but because she knew him well already she knew this expression didn't necessarily indicate hostility, not when he was speaking with her.

"What?" She asked dumbly. "What do you mean?" Her eyes sparkled with confusion.

"I won't be taking half of the company from you. When that deal was made you were just a stranger to me. Now that you're my wife"

"Wait? What does it mean?" Eliana was unsure if she heard him correctly.

"It means your family company stays fully yours, my love," he said smoothly.

"What?!" Eliana's head started spinning. Did her always money-hungry husband just give up millions of dollars?

"Think of it as a late wedding gift," Rafael said.

"Our wedding was months ago" Eliana pointed out with arms crossed over her chest. She wasn't sitting in front of his desk but next to it, on a comfortable red chair that was usually reserved for Lorenzo. Well, admittedly she took Lorenzo's seat and his place as Rafael's right hand.

"And yet every day I fall in love with you more," Rafael said in a seductive voice. She couldn't focus when he used it on her.

"Rafael be serious"A rare smile appeared on his lips, it was barely noticeable but Eliana saw it, she couldn't help it but feel how her mood lifted up.

"I am"

"Oh?" That's all Eliana could manage to say because while Rafael said it he stood up from his chair. Today he was as always wearing all black, the only touch of color was the dark purple color of his tie. This color has been associated with royalty, power, and wealth and Eliana felt like it described her husband and his family perfectly. Breathlessly she watched as this amazingly handsome man was getting closer to her. How he puts his hands on the armrests of her chair, his face now within inches from hers which added to the intimidation factor.

"Besides, do not forget. We don't have a prenup, Eliana. If we divorce I will make sure to take my 50% or more" he sent her a devilish smile when he said that.

Evil, evil man indeed.
