"We are surrounded by all of these lights
And people who talk too much
You've got that kind of look in your eyes
As if no one knows anything but us
And should this be the last thing I see
I want you to know it's enough for me."
"That's it?" I asked him, in complete shock.
He nodded and gave me a cheeky grin.
"It wasn't even that difficult!" I exclaimed, my lips stretching into a big smile.
"I told you!" He exclaimed, laughing happily as I tackled him into a tight hug.
"Thank you thank you thank you thank you!" I gushed as I released him and closed my books. My homework was finally complete, all thanks to him and I could submit this now tomorrow without worries failing.
I mustered my books and kept them on the bed side and rested by the headboard.
"That's it?" Chance repeated by earlier words and I looked at him in confusion.
"What?"
"Won't I get a gift?" He asked, as he tapped his cheek, cheekily.
Laughing, I understood what he meant and leaned forward to kiss his cheek but he moved his head in the last second so that my lips touched his in a kiss.
He didn't move away with a peck. Holding our lips together, he placed a hand on my neck and kissed me passionately.
Moaning lightly, I kissed him back and our lips got lost into a rhythmic pattern of pulling and tugging and tasting each other.
Kissing Chance everytime is like the first time all over again. It just gets better. The whole 'getting bored of someone' business doesn't work with mates. If anything, the bond grows.
And I could definitely feel that the bond has grown between us.
I was closer to him than ever before, both emotionally and mentally. I hands moved into his soft hair as I stroked them and pulled them in ecstasy.
Chance moaned everytime I tugged on his hair, telling me he liked it and it was the sexiest sound in the world for me.
Pulling away, his lips left mine to move to my jaw and I whimpered in pleasure as he left butterfly kisses down my jaw to my neck and all the way above my chest.
My back arched in ecstacy when his lips touched just above the swells of my breast and my entire body shook in pleasure. My hands moved to his neck to hold his head in place as he nipped and sucked the soft skin of my chest.

"Oli..." He moaned my name between his kisses and my stomach bursted into a thousand butterflies and a feeling of warmth spread through my core.
He pushed me back on the bed so that I laid on my back and he crawled on top of me. His body weight wasn't pressing me down he supported himself with one hand but I liked the little weight he did put on me because it made me feel captivated.
Needing to touch his lips again, I pulled up his face to place my lips on his and he returned to my kiss with equal amount of urgency and fervour. I dominated the kiss this time and pushed my tongue into his mouth, tasting him and feeling closer to him than ever before.
My hands slipped into his shirt and I touched his abs, feeling the muscles tighten everywhere I touched. He groaned into my mouth when I stroked his skin and I loved his reaction because it made me feel like I could affect him.
His face went down again and he started working on his hickey on my chest. He lightly bit my skin, making me whimper but his tongue immediately went on licking the skin to ease the sting and I fell into the dark abyss of oblivion again.
His hands moved up and down my sides as he felt the curves and dips of my body and I did the same with him. Once his fingers touched the sides of my breasts making me shiver in pleasure and lust.
My body heated up and I felt my core burning in need. The smell of my arousal wasn't very noticeable for a human but Chance is a werewolf with advanced olfactory sense and I know he could tell I was aroused.
He inconspicuously sniffed the air and his entire body tensed when he smelled my arousal and he groaned while snuggling his head in the crook of my neck.
"You're driving me crazy, Oli." He groaned and kissed my neck as I chuckled and kissed his hair lovingly.
"You know we need to stop, right?" I whispered and he nodded his head.
There were just two days to go to the full moon and we'd rather completely mate on that day. We can definitely control ourselves till then.
After a while, he moved from on top of me, to my side and wrapping his arm around me waist, he pulled me towards him so that my face was pressed again where his heart is and he buried his face in my hair.

"My beautiful Oli," he whispered while tracing unconscious circles on my waist and I smiled, kissing his chest as started falling asleep.
I know it was too early to sleep but I was tired and being in his arms made me feel warm and safe.
I woke up at midnight with a growling, hungry stomach and Chance chuckled at me while I pouted in embarrassment.
"Awww, my baby's hungry," he cooed at me and I pinched his arm.
"Shut up." I hissed and glared at him as he chuckled and jumped off the bed.
"Come on, I'll buy you ice cream," he said and my eyes lit up in excitement.
"Ice cream!" I grinned widely, thinking about the yummy, sweet treat in glee.
Taking my hand in his, he chuckled at me and nodded, "Ice cream."
And ladies and gentlemen, this is how you win your way to a girl's heart.
"So," I started, as I awkwardly kicked a pebble on the ground while we walked our way back home after getting some ice cream from a nearby ice cream parlor.
"Hm?" He looked at me questioningly.
"I just realized, I know nothing about your family." I stated, surprised at myself that I never asked this before.
Your mate's family is important to you because they are, in a way, your family too.
He tensed visibly at my question and I think it was because he was caught off guard.
"Urm, well my father's the current Beta. I'll be handed down the title officially once I fully mate," he said, and I nodded.
"I know that. Of course, I know your father I am a part of this pack. But what about your mother, I don't think I've ever met her..."
It was a genuine question as during my short stay in the pack house, I never saw beta female. I have met the Luna several times, but never her.
If Chance was tensed before, he was a walking stone by now and judging by the way his fists curled and his jaw clenched, I could tell he didn't take my question nicely.
Had I asked something wrong?
I kept quiet and didn't say anything as we walked in silence.
We had finished our ice creams and we had almost reached the pack house when he started speaking.
"She's dead."
That's all he said when we entered the threshold of the house and instead of going inside, he ran outside into the woods, leaving me shocked.
I didn't have to look too long to know his eyes were pitch black and he was going to shift into his wolf, but I did understand my question had bothered him a lot.
I think he is still sensitive about his mother's death and is not taking it nicely.
Should I run after him?
I know it won't be fruitful as he was probably too far by now and I am still an unshifting wolf (like the pathetic werewolf I am) and I won't be able to follow him.
So I just decided to stay. The fact that I can't shift was bothering me more and more every single day and I was getting impatient.
I had just 2 days now till it completed fortnight after my birthday, and if I don't shift till then, it will mean that I am defected, a mutation who can't shift.
My eyes burned with tears when I thought of it and I looked up at the ceiling to stop them from falling.
Forcing myself to think of Chance, it surprised me that I didn't know of the Beta-Female's death.
Beta female is a high rank in the pack and her death is a big thing, then how did I not know of it? I am not that uninformed of the pack business.
But then again, if she had died more than thirteen years ago, I won't know. Because I don't remember anything from my childhood before I was five years old.
A normal human doesn't remember their childhood at all but werewolves do. They remember every detail from birth to death, but I couldn't remember even a bit of information about the time till I was five which surprised me.
Father said I have some sort of a disorder and he brushed it off. I was fine with it because I never cared but now I think she must have died within that period because that is the only explanation as to why I didn't remember her death.
It kind of sad to think that Chance lost her mother at such a tender age though, no wonder he was bitter about it.
Sighing, I moved to my room and laid on the cold bed, with my thoughts occupied about my mate.
Sleep refused to come to me as I laid there for hours without even realizing that I was actually waiting for him.
