“Down to earth
Keep on falling when I know it hurts
Going faster than
a million miles an hour
Trying to catch my breath some way, somehow
Down to earth
It's like I'm frozen,
but the world still turns
Stuck in motion,
but the wheels keep spinning 'round
Moving in reverse with no way out.”
"We know that you are the Luna of the Mercy Wolf pack."
His words echoed in my brain several times till I could finally make some sense out of the complete and utter lie.
"No? I'm not the Luna!" I said, trying to defend myself but he just scoffed.
"For how long do you think this veil of innocence will work? We know the truth. Everyone does. Everyone saw that day in school how you entered with Alpha Reece, looking all loved up. You two were walking like couples, like mates do and your ex-boyfriend even got jealous. What was his name again—ah! Beta Chance."
Chance's name send shivers down my spine but the kidnapper thought of it as a sign of me getting scared so he smirked.
"You think that Reece is my mate because we walked into school together?" I asked, exasperatedly. How could they be so shallow?
"And your ex-boyfriend got jealous. Also you are calling Alpha Reece by his name, and an Alpha only allows his mate to do that." He concluded.
"No! No! No!" I whispered, frustratedly. "You are getting it all wrong! Reece is not my mate! He's just a friend and he let's me call him by his first name because of that and because he hasn't been crowned yet. Moreover, you are believing a rumor spread by silly, gossip loving high school girls, don't you think you should reconsider it?"
My reply must have offended or disrespected him because he growled in an instant and he grabbed the back of my neck, clenching my hair painfully as he pulled my face up to look into his hateful red eyes.
"I'm going to say this one last time. My pack will not get fooled by your lies. Either you cooperate with us and tell us where you're hiding the gem, and we'll let you go safely or you choose to be stubborn and get tortured. The choice is yours. Either way, we will extract the information out of you."
The venom in his words poisoned my heart as he exited the dungeon with his guards and left me with chilled bones and dried blood.
So basically if we look at it, I am in this situation because I was stupid enough to agree to Reece's even more stupid plan and now these rogues think that I am the Luna and that I know the way to that gem.
But the thing is that I have no damn idea about the gem and the only think I know is that now I am stuck here forever.

They won't accept my reasons. If I tell them I was trying to make my real mate jealous just for answers— that too with my badboy Alpha, they won't believe it.
Groaning, I held my head in my hands, my legs were shaking with fear when I sized up how deep in trouble I was.
Looking up, I gazed at the roof, heaving a huge sigh when a realization crossed my brain.
My eyes zeroed at my free hands and I eyed the open doors cautiously. It was too perfect a situation, to not take advantage of.
They had forgotten to tie my hands back. And now I'll run. You can't expect me not to.
Hurriedly, with slightly shaky hands, I started untying the rope that tied my legs to chair when I heard a feminine voice from the back of the room.
"If I were you, I won't dare to escape." She said. "You may not know but the people outside this little cellar are bloodthirsty. And they'd do anything for it. They'd do anything for a reward from their master. And if it is your death, then so be it."
I turned my head back so quickly, that was surprised I still had a neck. I found the same lady that has walked in with the head of the rogues earlier, standing on a dark corner right behind me, with her hands crossed over the chest and a grim expression on her face.
I don't know how she managed to sneak back there, but whatever it was, creeped me out.
Maybe she was silently monitoring me the entire time.
"W-Who are you?" I gulped, my voice stuttering as my mind immediately went to the worst possiblities ever.
She stepped out of the darkness, even then I could barely see her face under the dim light of the setting sun.
"I'm Doctor Patricia." She said, extending her arm for me to shake.
Her jet black eyes seem to stare into my soul as she waited for me to shake her hand.
With utmost uncertainty and hesitance, I took her hand in mine and that's when I realized how cold my palm was against her warm one.
"I was wondering how long it will take for you to realize that you could run." She said, coming in front of me.
Her black hair were tied into a neat pony tail, emphasizing her perfect bone structure that was complimented by her rich, chocolate brown skin, pouty lips, high cheekbones and big, doll eyes.
"You're not the only one who has tried to do this. And let me tell you, no one ever survived. You may not be able to see it, but just a foot away from your cellar, there are guards on both sides. And from there, there are two guards per cellar. If you do manage to dodge them and reach the back doors, you'll be greeted by two cyanide cylinder that are filled in anticipation of someone trying to escape. Once the emergency alarm is pressed by the guards, the gas will be released and you'll die right then. Even though no one has gone farther than then, let's assume you do manage to miraculously cross the gas cylinders. When you'll get out of the door, in order to get out of this enclosed, claimed land, you'll have to cross an electric fencing of 500 Volt, which I don't think will be a pleasant experience."

She talked like she was talking about the weather as she walked across the room, to pick the small box she had kept at the door. Picking it up, she opened it to reveal a good variety of tubes containing unknown liquids, syringes, tablets, bandages and whole lot of things I had seen my father use— but had no clue about them.
My throat ran dry at the description of how highly "safe" this place was and I realized that I had no choice now. No scope of escaping.
But then again, could I trust her? Maybe she was just scaring me?
As if she could read my mind, she looked up and smirked.
"If you are finding it hard to trust me, you can try it the next time they leave you untied. For now I'll have to inject you with the intriguing chemical, but the next time you do try it on, think about my words when you're hanging onto the fringes of your life at the gas cylinders or maybe if you are lucky, at the electric fences."
The thing that stood out the most was how calm and placid she was when she said those threatening, daring words. It was like they didn't affect her at all. She appeared to be like one of those people who could compose themselves and keep their expressions stoic at every given occasion.
"So what do I do?" I asked her. She seemed like the only person here who was willing to talk and had not decided that I knew everything just yet.
She looked at me for a second before shrugging. "I mean, I don't know. You are in a pretty horrible situation if you ask me. You don't know anything, do you?"
I shook my head vigorously, not wanting to leave any doubt.
She scoffed. "Knew it. It was written all over your face. You were so shocked and flabbergasted beyond your mind."
"So why don't you tell him! He's not ready to listen to me!" I said, a little ray of something coming in the darkened attic of my hopes.
She scoffed again, disbelievingly. "Oh yeah? You really he'll listen to me? If anything, he'll think I am trying to protect you and the precious Stone and he'll kill me that instant. And as heroic as it sounds honey, I am not up for dying for anyone. Plus, he's has a one track mind. He wants something, he'll get it."
I bit my lip, thinking about everything.
"Why is he so hell-bent about the fact that he'll find it in our pack only. I mean, there are over a hundred packs in the United States. What are the odds? Besides, he has invaded around 25 packs by now."
"29." She corrected me. "And exactly. He has invaded 29 packs. This is his 30."
I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion. "Is that supposed to mean something?"
She sighed and stared at a distance, as if weighing whether she should tell me or not.
"Look, our Alpha Keith— the one you just met and the one who kidnapped you, is a big believer of astrology. Once an astrologer told him that the 30th pack he'll ever invade will get him the fortune he deserved. From that day, his only objective in life was to get to that 30th pack. And after your warriors helped that Mexican pack we last attacked, your pack became our next target, which also just happened to be the 30th. So Alpha thinks that it's destiny, and that's how it's supposed to be."
My lips parted as I soaked the information in. Now his desperation and stubbornness made more sense. Now I could understand why he was so confident about his research.
But that didn't change the fact that he was wrong.
Doctor Patricia had started cleaning my forearm with rubbing alcohol, right where my main vein was. Just like when you get a vaccination.
"But he's still wrong," I whispered, my eyes throat closeing up, my body filling up with fear once again. Call me a cry baby but I there was notified else I could in this situation.
I was stuck. Trapped. And extremely helpless.
"Who cares? It's not like your pleas will be heard. If you want to listen to me, I'd advice you to not to try to fight. Because that will intrigue him further. Try to ask your wolf for details, think if you know anything. Anything of help. Try to establish a link with your pack members. You are physically restrained, but not mentally."
I nodded, slowly. Agreeing with her. But the problem was, my wolf's soul had detached temporarily and she probably didn't even know that we were kidnapped. Maybe I'll have to wait.
"What are you injecting?" I asked, a bit anxious and apprehensive as she pressed the sharp needle against my skin.
There wasn't anything I could do though.
"Don't worry, have a nice sleep." Were the last words I heard, that too like a blur when my brain started shutting down and giving in to the welcoming arms of darkness.
My hands fell limp to my sides, my neck was through back as I could not longer support it, I slumped back into my seat as I fell into a deep slumber, thinking, damn that drug works fast.
