Alessandro drove me home. There was more of that awkward silence. The first thing I did was call Sandy.

"Girl are you crazy? Wait is he hot?" She asked.

"Sandy he's my boss, or will be anyways. I have to talk to Gellar tomorrow about when my last day will be and to make sure I have a job when I come back" I said.

"I just can't believe you said yes. It's not like you. I can't believe you were even able to talk to him. With your social phobia and all." She said.

"I know, me either. I don't know maybe it's that fact that he threatened me in Vegas, maybe that made him loose his charm." I said trying to find a reason. I usually can't have a conversation with people. I know it seems weird, especially since I'm a doctor but it's not something I can control.

"No, that's not it. When are you leaving?" She asked.

"In a few days. Apparently he needs me ASAP" I said. "There's just something I can't put my finger on. I feel like there's something I'm not seeing" I sighed.

"I don't know, maybe. I just can't believe you're going to Italy! I'm totally going to visit you!" She said.

"Of course you have to! What about Ron?" I asked.

"He can live with out me for a week or two." She laughed. "I can ask for some vacation time in a few weeks. That way you'll be settled in and we can go out" she said.

"Yes please. I can't believe I'm doing this Sandy. Am I crazy for saying yes?" I asked her.

"No i think you did the right thing. You're going out of your comfort zone for once. Hey I just had a thought. What if he's in love with you? Maybe he fell in love with you when he saw you save his brother" she said excited.

"Sandy, that not possible. You should see this man. He's definitely not interested in little old me. I'm plain Jane remember. He's a billionaire who probably dated models or actresses." I said.

"I just googled him. You're right. He does have a different girl in every single picture. Apparently he hasn't been in a relationship before. Well that's what the media says anyway. By the way he is fine! He's drop dead gorgeous!" she said.

I laughed "you're better than the FBI" I chuckled.

"Well I have to be if my best friend is leaving to Italy with a hot stranger." She said.

"Well I see you tomorrow at work. Love you!" I said.

"Love you more! Good night."

We hung up and I went to bed. I woke up the next day and got ready for work.

As soon as I clocked in the administrator told me the director wanted to se me. I sighed and knocked on his door "come in" he said. I walked in. "Dr. Emerson! I'm glad you're here! I talked to Mr. Moretti and he informed me that you agreed! The hospital can't thank you enough! This collaboration is good for everyone and don't worry once you come back, you'll have your job waiting for you!" He said. This man just wouldn't let me get a word in. "In fact today is your last day. Mr. Moretti said he has your flight and everything ready for you to leave the day after tomorrow. In fact, please go home and pack! I called Peterson in and he's already working on your shift, please go, go" he said all excited. I nodded and walked out. I literally didn't have to say a word. Apparently everything was taken care of.

Moretti fixed everything for me. I even got a call from my landlord saying my apartment was paid for,

for the next year. Things were happening so fast. I felt dizzy. I still felt like I was missing something.

I went down to the fifth floor. That's internal medicine. I needed to see Sandy. I saw her at her office. She saw me and smiled. She stood up and ran to hug me. "Girl what are you doing here?" She asked.

"Are you busy?" I asked.

"No i just finished my first round and I'm taking a small break. What's up?" She asked me.

I filled her in. She was happy for me and sad at the same time. She promised to visit me in a few weeks once I was settled. I said goodbye and went home. She was going to go see me tomorrow before I left.

I got home and packed. What do you even pack for an entire year? I thought to myself. I didn't own much clothes or shoes because I didn't go out much. I packed what I thought I needed.

The next day Sandy came after work. We both cried. We never been so far apart from each other. Ron laughed at both of us.

The next day I had my flight. Leonardo called me and informed me that I had a car waiting for me downstairs.

It was a god damn limousine. The driver put my luggage in and he took me to the airport. The thing is, he didn't drop me off at check in. He went inside the damn airport and parked next to a private jet, which apparently Moretti owned.

I was starting to regret my decision. This was too much. They took my luggage inside and I was greeted by a flight attendant. She showed me around and said she was at my service.

I called Sandy one last time before take off. "Be careful! Remember I love you!" She said.

"Love you more!" I said and with that the pilot took off and I was on my way to Italy.
