The Deal

Waking up the next morning he checked to make sure she was still in bed with him, hoping it wasn't all a dream. But no, she was there so he moved over and hovering above her he placed his lips on hers, instantly waking her.

She rested her hands above her head, moving her leg out from under the covers as he ran his hand up and down her. "Austin," she said when he got between her legs and entered her, filling her to the core. "Oh yes, yes that feels so good," she moaned softly.

Austin put all of his love and passion for her into their lovemaking, his heart that had been recently broken was now healed. He had her back in his life and this time he wouldn't screw it up. She was his queen and he was her slave. He rolled off and laying on his side rubbed her stomach.

"We'll need to bring all of my things back here," she said, resting her head on his chest.

"I'll do it today and I think we better push on selling your apartment. It seems like we've been going back and forth with your things. I don't want you moving everything again if you get mad at me," he said, chuckling.

"I'll need all my clothes since I'll be going back to work in two more days. I'll have to call my parents and tell them about the wedding, and about the baby. There's so much to do in the next couple of months."

"Hey, I don't want you stressing about this. We'll call your parents and have them come home and they can help out with arranging everything. You just tell us what you want and we'll take care of it, all you have to do is pick out the dress."

"I hope you know my father will insist on inviting all of his friends so there will be a lot of people there."

"Yes, I know but that's alright. Now, I need to get ready for work and after I'll stop by the apartment and bring all your things home."

After showering and getting dressed he gave her a long, passionate kiss before leaving. She then gets up and decides to shower. Putting on a pair of pants and top she goes downstairs and finds Helen making breakfast.

"Are you suppose to be out of bed?" she asked as she buttered the toast.

"I'm all better now and I will be going to work in a couple of days. I want to thank you for all you've done for me the past week."

"It was my pleasure and I'm so happy the baby is alright."

"I'll make sure that my husband gives you a huge bonus and there's something else I'd like to tell you."

"What's that?" she asked, setting the food on the table in front of Blair.

"I'm moving back in for good and Austin and I are getting married again, this time we're having a big wedding."

"I just knew the two of you would find your way back to each other. I'm so happy for you, may I give you a hug?"

Blair stood up when Helen came over, giving her a loving hug.

She spent the day by the pool, taking in the sun as she read over some reports that Rachel had brought over to her earlier that day. When she heard footsteps she looked up and saw Austin coming towards her, wearing his bathing trunks.

"Hey beautiful, coming in for a swim?" he asked, leaning over gave her a kiss.

"I thought you were going to pick up my things."

"I did, I've put them in our room," he said, taking her hand pulled her up. "Now, do you want me to throw you in or will you come on your own?"

As he was standing on the edge of the pool she let out a laugh. "You first," she said, giving him a push he landed in the water. She then went over to the steps and walked down them. Seeing the look in his eyes she knew he was up to something. "Remember I'm pregnant," she said, using her condition to stop him from whatever he had in mind.

He swam over to her, grabbing her he pulled her into his arms. "You play dirty."

She wrapped her arms around his neck. "I'm a bad girl, you ought to punish me," she said, moving her lips along his neck.

"Oh God, I love when you do that. I will punish you, let's get you upstairs and out of these wet things so that I can get you wetter." He scooped her up into his arms and out of the pool, he headed inside, going upstairs to their bedroom.

Later they showered and got dressed, she goes over to her jewelry box and opens it. Finding what she was looking for she walked over to him, the dolphin necklace in her hand. "Will you do this up for me?" she asked, turning around.

He was thrilled that she still loved it and after doing up the clasp he kissed her neck. "I love you, you are the only thing that keeps me breathing."

She turned to face him. "I go back to work in a couple of days and I don't have anything to wear."

"Sweetheart, the closets are full of clothes, some still with the price tags on them."

"I know that silly, but they are starting to get a little tight on me. I need to get some maternity clothes so will you take me shopping?"

"What now?"

"Yes now. I'm feeling so much better and I promise if I get tired we can come home. I could go alone if you don't want to go with me." She knew by the way he was being overly protective of her and the baby that he would take her.

"Alright, I'll take you but we won't be running all over the place, one store only."

"OK, I know just the store that carries everything I'll need," she said, thrilled to be going shopping even if it was for maternity wear.

He drove her to the shop and sat in the chair as she tried on outfits, each one she modelled for him. Two hours later he decided she had enough for one night, they left the store with so many packages filled with dresses, pants tops, panties and bras that one of the sales clerks had to help carry them to his car.

They then stopped and had a late dinner at one of their favourite places. When her phone rang she answered it and he knew she was talking to her mother, they only talked for a few moments until she hung up.

"Is everything alright?" he asked her.

"They're coming home next week to help with the wedding plans. Mom says dad has a lot of questions for you. Be prepared for a lecture, he's wondering why we are getting married again and why we waited so long to tell them about the baby."

"Wait, you didn't tell them when you found out?"

"No, I was waiting for the right time and couldn't find one so when I texted them this morning about us getting married again I mentioned I was pregnant. You're not angry with me are you?"

"No, I just know how your father can be, he might punch me again."

She giggled. "I won't let him hurt you."

Two days later: Needless to say Blair was happy to get back to work and behind her desk again. Everyone was thrilled to have her there and Rachel was over the moon to hear that she and Austin had made up. She let out a squeal when Blair said they were getting married again and wanted her to be the maid of honour.

As promised Blair did cut down on her hours and liked who Rachel had hired to help assist them. It was also time for her scan and Austin was picking her up, they had decided to find out the sex of the baby, he kept insisting it was a boy, she thought it was a girl.

They waited patiently for the doctor to come in and when he did she held Austin's hand. "We decided to find out if it's a boy or girl," she said as the doctor started.

The female doctor smiled and looked at them both. "First, the baby is healthy, no problems whatsoever, and I'm happy to tell you it's a boy." She had to smile when Austin did an air bump and yelled out, "I knew it was a boy."

Blair shook her head at him. "Alright, you win, it's a boy."

He stroked her cheek. "I love you, Mrs. Cooke."

The next few days flew by, both so happy about having a boy and was trying to figure out a name for him. But first, they had to get over the visit with her parents, especially her father who didn't like Austin from the very beginning.

The inlaws visit: When the knock came Austin took her hand. "I'll just stand behind you when we open the door in case your father takes another swing at me," he said jokingly.

"Coward," she laughed and opened the door.

Austin stood back and watched as they hugged and kissed, it was easy to see how much they loved Blair. He welcomed them and led them into the living room where he poured them all a drink.

Marcus put his hands on her shoulders. "Let me have a good look at you sweetheart. My you look so beautiful and motherhood suits you, you're positively glowing. So tell me, how are you feeling?"

"I feel great daddy and we found out we're having a boy."

"A boy, that's wonderful, but why didn't you tell us you were pregnant before this?"

"I don't know, I guess I was waiting to make sure everything was alright with the baby and I was also worried about what you might say."

He looked at his wife and back at her. "Why baby?"

"I was afraid you might think it was too soon for us to have a baby, being we haven't been married very long and I have just recently become the owner of a company."

He cupped her face in his hands. "Don't be silly, anytime is a good time to have a baby and I know you. I know you can do it all, you're strong. Your mother and I are so happy that we are going to be grandparents and now we have someone else to love and spoil. Now, I would like to have a private word with your husband."

She looked at Austin who looked a tad nervous. "I could take mother up to see the nursery. But father, be nice to him."

When the women left Austin turned to the older man. "Sir, before you begin I want you to know I love your daughter, I have ever since high school and I'll do everything in my power to make sure she is safe and happy. I know you weren't pleased when we got married without telling you and not letting you know about the baby but I swear I thought she had told you."

"Are you done?" Marcus barked.

Austin swallowed hard. "Yes, sir."

"I want to know why you two are getting married again, is it because you're not married, legally that is?"

"Oh God no, we are married. It's just that it was quick, we never stopped to think of our family and friends and how it would affect them not being there to witness it. I also remember how she used to talk about how she wanted a big wedding and to have you, her father walk her down the aisle. I asked her to marry me again because I want to make her happy, to give her the wedding of her dreams."

"So I guess you're going to expect her to give up the company and stay home to take care of the child?"

"No, she worked hard to get where she is and she loves owning her own company so I would never expect her to give it up. Blair is the strongest woman I've ever known, she would kick me where the sun doesn't shine if I suggested such a thing."

Marcus laughed, his hardened expression softening. "Yes, you're right about that. I can see how much you both love each other, just don't ever hurt her or you'll have me to answer to. Blair's mother and I want to pay for the wedding."

"I have no problem paying for it myself," he answered, feeling a little insulted.

"I know you have no problem paying for it. I do remember you from way back, you have done very well for yourself. A poor young man putting himself through school, building a career and becoming a wealthy and successful lawyer. I'm her father and protocol dictates that the bride's parents pay for the wedding. Let me do this for my daughter."

Austin poured them each another drink, he explained to Marcus about the scare they had with the baby, feeling he had a right to know. "Alright sir, to save her any stress I'll agree. She will want to arrange the wedding but with you and your wife's help we can take a lot of the pressure off her. I will not allow her to be under any stress."

He was shocked to hear what Blair went through and it hurt that he wasn't here for her, but he agreed not to let on he knew. They stopped talking when the women came back and after talking for a while they left to go home, promising to be in touch soon to start with the wedding preparations.
