《The Queen's everything gxg》Chapter 2

The door opened and there they were, storming in, staring at the humans with their red eyes, there must have been at least a dozen of them swarming them, almost curious, the group were too worried that they were about to die or be their next meal.
Aerilyn was shaking with her brothers arms around her.
'Separate them' a tall, hench vampire said, he had short blonde hair, striking red eyes, with armour on. He looked important.
They were being rough with them, especially the men.
Aerilyn looked over at the others to see if they were okay specifically Evelyn and Saryn, but just like her they were scared.
One came over putting his hands on Aerilyn, Eli tried to swipe him away, the tears falling down her face.
'Remember what I said Lyn, it will be okay', he called using her nickname as he always had done.
The others called to each other and struggled against the power of the vampires, they were that powerful they didn't need the weapons they carried to use against the humans, that was just for rogues, werewolves or other clans they didn't get on with.
They were seperated into two groups, as you can guess, girls and boys.
'What is going on, why are you separating us' Evelyn was brave enough to speak up. She had always been braver than most, Aerilyn admired that about her, when they faced things she would be at the front ready to take it on.
'You are going to be processed and taken to holding, we will need your names, where you came from and age' The tall important looking one replied.
'Is it really necessary to separate us from them, we aren't exactly a threat to you', Evelyn was asking for it, everyone else knew to keep quiet, but still she pressed on.
'Not that I have to answer you, but this is only temporary whilst we process you, we will move you all to a room together'. He was cold and stern, he pulled her up and shoved her to another part of the room.
Aerilyn legs were beginning to hurt from being sat down so long, it was taking a long while to process us, but at least the blaring alarm had gone off, they could only guess they were processing them so that they could become blood bags, why else would they do this.

'You, with the brown hair and white shirt, it's your turn, come here' a girl with mid length brown hair called her over. Aerilyn looked up, realizing she was talking to her, her legs were almost giving way as she made her way across the bare room.
There was nothing in here that could help them escape, just pure concrete, as cold as them. As she approached the woman, Aerilyn saw her eyes turn red as she had breathed in.
'God, I wish I had eaten before this' the woman muttered to the amusement of the other guards. It was quiet enough for Aerilyn to hear.
Aerilyn made eye contact with her, she almost looked guilty because she must have known that she had heard what she had said, but Aerilyn looked away very quickly.
She sensed the girls nervousness because she relaxed her body leaning back in the chair, hoping it would relax Aerilyn, but it didn't.
'She smells out of this world, everyone is going to have a hard time controlling themselves around her, this is dangerous' the guard exclaimed, almost frothing at the mouth, surely Aerilyn didn't smell any better than any one else, she always thought she had a common blood type.
Aerilyn looked down at the floor, not enjoying being spoken about as though I wasn't there.
'Just do your job Ren, that is not our decision to make, the Queen can decide, you all better keep in check'. The girl dismissed Ren, whose eyes she could still feel on her as though he was ready to pounce at any moment.
'What is your name' the vampire said softly. Aerilyn didn't reply to begin with, so unsure on what to do.
'My name is Nilsa, I won't hurt you I promise, there is nothing to be scared of' She tried to reassure her, but Aerilyn didn't trust anyone anymore, just her brother mostly, Saryn and Evelyn too. Nilsa's eyes had turned back to their blueish colour, with flecks of grey. She tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, waiting patiently for Aerilyn to speak.
Aerilyn did not understand why they were being so nice, when they could easily force us to do as they commanded.
She breathed in, trying to calm herself 'My name is Aerilyn', she said shakily, her hands trembling.

Nilsa nodded and proceeded to write her name down, Aerilyn took that moment to look at the other guard who hadn't taken his eyes off of her since she got here.
She took a step back cowering away not having encountered vampires in such a close proximity.
'Ren, go and make yourself useful somewhere else' Nilsa sighed. Ren tutted and walked away, she must have held some power to have been able to command him to do that. Aerilyn relaxed as soon as he was out of sight.
'Why did you send him away?' Aerilyn half asked Nilsa, but wasn't expecting an answer.
Nilsa tilted her head to the side and half smiled. 'We are intuitive creatures, I could tell you were uncomfortable, now how old are you and where are you from? Take your time, but like I said, no one will hurt you here'.
Aerilyn took a step closer to the brown desk she was sat behind, feeling a bit braver and safer. She looked around at the other guards but they didn't seem to be interested, so she looked back at Nilsa who was already looking at her beaming.
'I'm almost twenty and I am from what use to be Santa Barbara', Aerilyn said in a quiet voice.
Nilsa carried on writing, taking down some more information asking if she had any family.
'You are a long way from home, I need to take your height and your weight', Nilsa stood up, which shook her. The ironic part was that there was no home anymore, not for any human. Aerilyn had been heading for Canada but hadn't quite made it to the border.
'Just stand here and I will measure you, I promise no harm will come to you' She assured again. Aerilyn went over to where the measuring device was and stood with her back against it, Nilsa came over to take her height moving the top down to get the correct measurement.
As she inhaled, her eyes turned red again.
Aerilyn trembled 'why do your eyes keep turning red?'
Nilsa closed her eyes for a moment too long, as if in deep thought, thinking about her next words carefully. She opened her eyes, looking anywhere but at Aerilyn.
'It's your blood, I haven't smelt anything like it' she paused.
Aerilyn cowered away, so that's why Ren behaved the way he did.
'Our eyes turn red when we have desire, blood lust or anger' she carried on. Aerilyn listened on, looking at the way her perfectly shaped face, skin and hair, formed such a desirable figure to prey.
It was known that they could lure their prey in through manipulation, because of their looks. She was friendly, but Aerilyn was wise and knowing these facts helped her that bit more.
'So you want to drink my blood' Aerilyn enquired.
Nilsa and a few of the guards laughed, so they had been paying attention. Aerilyn titled her head.
'What's so funny?' They laughed as if they knew something that she didn't, she just looked puzzled.
'When you put it like that yes, but that isn't going to happen' she stopped laughing and responded with a big lopsided smile.
'Okay stand over here, so I can record your weight', Aerilyn huffed at the fact she was having to do this.
'What is the point in this, why does it matter?' She just wanted to be out of this situation, praying her brother was okay.
'We have to keep a record' she took Aerilyn's weight and wrote it down.
'Okay you're good to go' she smiled. Aerilyn took a step back before turning around, a guard grabbed her and took her back to where she was sat, with her back against the wall she could keep an eye on things. Evelyn shuffled over to Aerilyn, as soon as the guards had walked away.
'You okay Lyn?' She asked, her forehead was wrinkled waiting on her answer.
'Yeah, I just don't understand what's going on' Aerilyn wrapped my arms around herself, in a protective stance.
As a guard walked passed, he kicked the girls to make them quiet.
'No talking, our hearing is excellent and we can all hear you, it's annoying'
Damn vampires, Aerilyn forgot that they had like super strength and hearing. The two sat side by side, arms touching, Evelyn wasn't too much older around 25, she slipped her hand into Aerilyn's, to make them both feel safer.
Even though they weren't.
