《The Queen's everything gxg》Chapter 21

The next day Aerilyn wakes up, stretching before climbing out of bed, she showered and got dressed, wearing another one of the flowery dresses that was hanging in her wardrobe. There wasn't much else beyond dresses.
She was finally starting to feel better about things. She was not going to let the Queen drag her down, or anyone for that matter, she had to figure out a way out of here and back to her family.
Nilsa knocked before walking in and told Aerilyn she had to go to breakfast, which was a white lie, she just wanted the stubborn vampire and girl to get along so she didn't have to keep babysitting the her.
It was exhausting watching the pair and now she knew the Queen wouldn't hurt the girl she felt it was okay to leave her with Solenne.
Arriving at breakfast, the doors were flung open. There sat the Queen, but she appeared different and almost shocked that Aerilyn was stood there, as she hadn't been expecting her.
She was dressed differently too, not in her usual clothes but more dressed down and casual.
Aerilyn noticed the shock on her face and turned around to say something to Nilsa but the sneaky vampire had already left the room with the door closed.
"It's okay, eat I can leave" Solenne spoke softly.
Aerilyn raise an eyebrow at the vampires behaviour. "You don't need to leave, it's fine" keeping her head down she approached the table, but after all that had happened, she couldn't bare to sit next to her, she was not her equal.
Approaching the Queen, she saw Solenne watching her out of the corner of her eye, eyeing her up and down.
Aerilyn got down to the floor and sat on her knees, the Queen frowned, she didn't know whether to say something or not. Just as she was about to, the most annoying person walked in.
Tessa strutted in, swaying her hips from side to side.
"Hello my love" she went to Solenne's side and kissed her cheek. Aerilyn scowled as much as she could.
The Queen grimaced at the kiss, she needed to sort this mess out once and for all. Tessa then saw Aerilyn sat on her knees "I thought I could smell something bad in here, I don't know how you can bare to be around that smell" the girl wasn't sure how to take that, what was that suppose to mean.
"As you can see I'm busy with my pet, you can go and I will find you later" at this Tessa's anger heightened as she was pushed away again. She huffed and stormed out of the room before the guards could make her.

They were alone again.
"I'm very sorry about her" the Queen apologised, not that she had too.
Aerilyn didn't see the need to respond, she just sat there patiently, she had heard it all, she was her pet.
This caused the Queen to sigh. "Sit in the chair, I don't need you losing your legs again" she commanded.
She knew Aerilyn was stubborn and so the regal Queen stood up and pulled the chair out for the girl, she had to stop herself holding her hand out to her, she didn't have the right to touch her, so she felt.
The girl hesitated but proceeded to stand. The Queen had backed away and sat back down in her chair. Neither could read the others expression.
The cold Queen held a stoic face once again and was an expert in masking her emotions. She could smell the fear coming off the girl and it took everything she had not to do something about that.
"You can look at me, I won't hurt you" She spoke, but the girl whose choices had been taken away from her decided she did not want to look at the Queen, gaining what little control she had.
The Queen sighed again, she felt like she couldn't get through to her.
The food was brought in and placed in front of Aerilyn, she sat as usual and waited to be told she could eat.
"Why won't you look at me" the Queen wondered more than questioned sadly, if she could even feel that emotion.
"Because you disgust me and the less time I have to be around you, the better" the Queen felt her anger start to boil, as quickly as it did she suppressed it down. Aerilyn who was calm previously was beginning to wish she had let the Queen walk out when she offered.
"I know you hate me and I can only apologise for losing my control, never in my life has that happened and it won't happen ever again. Whether you like it or not you are here, that isn't going to change and if you would let me I would like to make it a comfortable stay" the Queen finished, she was trying hard. Aerilyn could see this was hard for the cold Queen.
"Why are you treating me like this, your so hot and cold. If I am a pet, treat me like one, drain me, but this is absurd, I don't fit in, i get stared at, the guards are laughing at me behind my back and I am called a pet yet you don't drink from me, you don't do anything, imagine how confusing that is" Aerilyn exclaimed, scrunching her fists into balls.

"You are right" the Queen couldn't reply to what she had said, she looked in deep thought at the floor.
How did she not notice what the guards had been saying or how the servants envied the girl for the way she was treated.
Really Aerilyn was an outcast to both species because of the way the Queen treated her.
Aerilyn decided if she wasn't going to be treated like a pet she would not wait for the Queen's orders. She picked up her knife and fork and began to eat, feeling the Queen's golden orbs press into her.
After she had finished eating, she lifted her gaze to look at the Queen, who was looking out of the window, she looked sad and almost lonely.
Was her guard actually dropped?
She placed her cutlery down causing the Queen to snap out of her trance, her golden eyes met Aerilyn's, any sign of what she was just feeling had disappeared.
Solenne stood up and spoke softer than ever "come, I have something I want to show you" Aerilyn gulped, she felt nervous, every thought ran through her head about what it could be.
"There is nothing to fear, I think you will quite enjoy it" Aerilyn followed the Queen out the room, Nilsa wasn't around and she didn't know what else to do.
They fell into a strange silence walking side by side, those who saw them were shocked. This only made Aerilyn more confused about the situation, even the Queen was being very careful not to touch her or stand too close.
They reached the front doors of the castle and Aerilyn stood there expectantly, not knowing what was going on.
"I'll be one second, stay here" in a flash the Queen used her speed to disappear somewhere. The girl hadn't really seen her use her powers before, it was quite interesting.
A second later she was back holding a coat.
"I don't want you to catch a cold out there, put this on" she handed the girl the coat. This wasn't the Queen she knew, she was quite possibly being nice.
Solenne held the door open for the girl to let her go first before following.
Aerilyn followed the Queen through the beautiful gardens, she was sure they would be even more breathtaking in the spring than they were in autumn/winter. Hopefully she wouldn't be around long enough to see.
She hoped.
The grounds were beaming with staff and guards, everybody had a purpose here. The staff and guards bowed when they saw the Queen, this was something Aerilyn couldn't get use too.
"If your heart beats any faster you might have cardiac arrest" the Queen spoke turning her head to face Aerilyn.
Aerilyn looked up at her forgetting that they were so intuitive, she probably knew how Aerilyn was feeling before she did herself.
"Where are we going?" She countered back.
By now a large barn type building was coming into view, Aerilyn hadn't really paid any attention to it before because it seemed so insignificant.
The Queen walked into the barn with the human girl following, she quickly realised it was the stables, with rows full of horses.
"Your majesty" a stable boy came over.
"Are you riding today?" He asked bowing.
"Yes, are they ready?" She asked.
You could see how scared he was of her, he was shorter than most boys and skinny with dirty black hair.
"They are your majesty, would you like any help?" He was trying his hardest to please her.
"No that will be all" she dismissed him, he bowed and cowered back to his duties.
The pair walked down to the far end of the stables, one horse caught her eye, a strong black stallion, Aerilyn walked over to stroke him. The horse allowed her to stroke him, nuzzling into her head.
The Queen raised her eye brow at the girl. "Looks like we will be saddling Kade for you" she smiled at the human before she turned to look at Kade.
"Where is your horse?" Aerilyn asked inquisitively, she knew the Queen would have the best horse.
"This way" she nodded, a few stalls down Aerilyn tried to peer over the barrier to see her horse.
In the stall was a beautiful tall palomino golden horse "she's beautiful" Aerilyn breathed.
Solenne not taking her eyes off of the human girl spoke "she is" more so talking about the girl rather than the horse.
The horse approached them slowly. "You might want to step back, she is not the most friendliest of horses" Solenne cautioned. Solenne reached out to stroke her horse, soothing her whilst the girl stood next to her and watched.
The horse let out a playful snort as the Queen fed her a carrot. The horse then approached Aerilyn, still a barrier between them, the girl cautiously raised her hand to start stroking her.
Even the stable boy who had walked passed was shocked. "Wow, I don't meant to intrude but she has never let me get that close to her in all the time I have worked here" Aerilyn just chuckled and carried on petting her.
"Would you like to go for a ride?" The Queen nervously asked, she held the girls gaze and was hoping she would say yes but was ready for her to say no.
