《The Alpha's Rose.》The Truth

----Rose's POV----
"Rose? Are you alright?"
Michaelangelo pressed after moments of uninterrupted silence.
"Yeah...I'm okay- um, listen I promise I will tell you all about Malachi, I'll tell you everything. Just not here, okay? Let's get to the hotel first, there's a storm coming, I can feel it."
I replied.
"I feel it too, we're only half an hour away so we should make it there before it gets any worse. C'mon."
He held out his hand for me.
We walked back to the car and strapped in, Michaelangelo turned the heating system on before we departed.
The car ride to the hotel was stressful and very awkward, I didn't know what to say to him or even how to explain his lineage, let alone the fact that I have to die for him to be rid of his curse, and the Lycan population to continue thriving.
Nevertheless, I knew it had to be done...it was just a matter of time.
"Rose...we're here."
He nudged me and pointed out the window.
I gasped.
It was a luxurious looking hotel in the middle of nowhere.
Snow coated the ground as the large glass windows fogged over, the pine trees on either side were large and beautiful and small stones in the ground led to the entrance of the grand hotel.
"Go ahead and wait in the lobby, I'll grab our things."
Michaelangelo nodded, pulling our duffel bags from behind the seats.
I kissed his cheek and pulled my hood over my head before making a dash for the lobby doors.
Michaelangelo was quickly behind me with the reservations ready in hand, the wind was picking up and the rain grew more aggressive.
I knew we had to get inside before it got worse, otherwise we were going to be stuck in a shit hole.
"Excuse me, we have reservations for the King Suite."
Michaelangelo settled things with the concierge as I observed the inside of the hotel.
It was definitely warmer in here.
Michaelangelo soon led us away from the lobby and into the elevator where we didn't get off until we reached the top floor.
"Home sweet home."
Michaelangelo jokingly said as he dropped our luggage in the entrance of the room and took his shoes off at the door.
I followed, kicking off my wet converse and slipping out of my drenched socks.
"Before we talk...I'm going to take a shower and change, if that's okay."
I said, looking at my hands.
Michaelangelo walked over to me,

"No...it's not okay."
He raised my chin to look at him.
"Not unless I can join you."
He winked and scooped me up in his arms, walking us towards the enormous bathroom in the suite.
I guess a long shower couldn't hurt.
-----------
"I love you."
Michaelangelo smiled, trailing his finger along my chest before resting his hand on my linen covered stomach.
"I love you too."
I replied, sitting up and leaning against the headboard of the bed.
He kissed my shoulder and joined me, holding me by my waist as we sat together in comfortable silence.
"I think...I think I'm ready to talk now."
I said after moments of peacefulness.
He pulled his arm from around my waist and sat in front of me.
"Earlier...you asked me about Malachi, and I told you that I wouldn't lie to you or keep things from you, so I'm going to tell you everything I know. Please, please don't be angry or upset and don't say anything until I'm finished, because you need to know everything."
Michaelangelo tucked a piece of hair behind my ear and kissed my forehead, encouraging me to continue.
We must have spent hours on that bed, I talked to him of my first vision of Malachi, and all the times she'd visited me and talked with me about her past.
I told him about Jack and his psychotic break, the things he said and did to me and how I was able to heal.
I told him of his father, his real father and how he wished he'd spent more time with him in his other life, all the while Michaelangelo grew more restless, he fidgeted, he narrowed his eyes and even grew sad at one point, but he never interrupted me and he never called me crazy.
"So, the only solution to avoid that and for you to live and become who you're truly supposed to become, is for me to die."
I finished, looking anywhere but at Michaelangelo, I couldn't bring myself to see him so disappointed and angry.
"Rose..."
He started, I looked up to his face, his warm brown eyes reassuring me.
"I won't let it happen...I can't let it happen, I don't care who they are, I am a Lycan and I was born a Lycan, you are my mate and you're staying with me until the very end."
He nodded as if his statement was final.
I sighed.
"Michaelangelo...it doesn't work that way, you may not know who you are now but you'll find out and when you do, you'll have no choice but to take your place-"

"I won't allow it Rose. I can't- I'm not even one of them, how am I supposed to know who I am if I haven't received anything from these people, not a vision or a letter or even a dream. To me, they are nothing."
I clenched my jaw and shook my head,
"Stupid fool."
Bringing his forehead to mine, I gave him my visions, the vision of Malachi and Marak, their life together, and his birth into their world.
When we were finished he pulled away abruptly, falling from the bed and breathing heavily.
I tried to reach for him but he pushed my hand away.
Quickly he pulled on some shorts and left the room.
"I'm sorry...I need to run, I need to get out of here, I just- I need to go."
He ran down the stairs and I followed, tugging on my sweatpants and slinging my tank top over my shoulders, I begged him not to go outside.
"Please stay, it's not safe out there, please Michaelangelo we have a lot to talk about!"
The stairwell door slammed shut and I sunk to my knees.
He left.
-------
I don't remember how long it was before I heard the door to the room open again, all I knew was my eyes were sore and tired and my body was aching.
I felt his strong arms pick me up and carry me into the bedroom, he laid me on the comforter and took his place along side me.
I rolled onto my side and faced him, gasping when I took in his bloodied and battered appearance.
"What....are you-"
He placed his hand on my cheek and sighed, closing his eyes for a long moment before opening them once again, this time with tears in his eyes.
"I don't want to lose you."
The tear that had been begging to escape ran down his cheek as he spoke and my heart broke into two, I never meant to hurt him and I certainly didn't want to lose him either, but this was my fate...my destiny even.
I pulled away and sat up, he followed suit and I rid him of his wet shirt and pants before taking him by the hand and leading him into the bathroom.
I turned the faucet to the bathtub on and encouraged him to get in, slowly and gently I cleaned his wounds until there were no more traces of blood on his skin.
I turned to leave him to soak in the bath when he pulled me back and his fingers weakly grasped at my waistband, I looked him in the eyes and saw that they were sad and pleading with me to get into the tub.
I lowered myself into the hot water, my back against Michaelangelo's chest and his arms wrapped around my waist.
I felt safe, the way he touched me, the way he smelled, everything about him was so calming and peaceful.
"I'm so sorry...I'm so sorry I left you Rose, I'll never do that again."
He cried into my shoulder, I turned around quickly and wrapped my legs around his waist bringing his head into my chest he hugged me into his chest and sighed.
"I love you."
I whispered as he hugged me tighter.
He kissed along my collarbone and up to my neck until he finally met my lips with his own.
We embraced one another and he lifted me into his lap, kissing me rougher and more abruptly as if it were the last time he was going to see me.
I felt him reach down and lift me up by my butt, I was still kissing his neck when he walked us out of the bathroom.
He pulled away from me and pushed me into the bed, giving me a look that resembled animosity and ferocity.
I felt myself becoming more excited.
"Gods, I love you."
He sighed as I pulled him closer to me, his erection pressing right against me.
"I need you."
----------------------------------------
We made love into the early morning, rays of sunshine were just barely peeking through the blinds onto our naked skin when we finally got tired.
"It looks like the storm let up."
He said as he traced his fingertips along my bottom.
I smiled and nodded.
"For now at least, it sounded like it was getting harder last night."
"Should we go to sleep?"
He asked, I curled up next to him and yawned, nodding my head and pressing myself into him.
"Careful now, I'm not sure I can resist another round with you."
He chuckled.
I laughed lightly and shook my head,
"Right now, the only thing on my mind is sleep."
I felt him kiss my head before all I slipped into a memory foam mattress and a fluffy pillow slumber.

The Forgotten Hero
Long ago, in the world of Thyne, the Alliance of the Free Races, a name they had given themselves, summoned a hundred humans from another dimension. Praised as heroes by the people, they rejoiced that they had been able to acquire pure, mana deficient humans that wanted to aid them in their time of need, ignoring the black, archaic slave collars around their necks or the depressed, almost hate-filled expressions that they received when interacting with them. After Ten years of bloody war, the dark races were pushed back deep into their territories. Both sides were near breaking point and desperate to end the war once and for all. In a bargain, the twelve surviving heroes launched a high-risk mission, utilising advanced tactics from their home world to kill the Demon Lord. In exchange, they would be sent home, along with the magically preserved corpses of their comrades, though in truth, they knew that even if they returned, they would never be the same. Legends say that, upon ambushing the Demon Lord in his castle, they finally understood the plight of the world, and in the last act of heroism, sacrificed their lives, sealing him in an eternal prison so his essence would not be able to create another. With the loss of the Demon Lord, and no chance for another to be born, the dark races quickly surrendered and the free races celebrated, honouring the noble sacrifice of the heroes before quickly forgetting about them as they returned to their everyday lives. However, legends are rarely truthful, embellished by the victors in order to earn praise as well as hide the less desirable aspects of their deeds. Trapped in the Demon Lord's throne room inside the Demonic Palace, which even taking a single step on its desecrated grounds is punished by death, two figures remain motionless. They had long run out of insults and threats to trade and now they waited. For what, not even the Gods knew.
