《smoke with me? (girlxgirl)》chapter 14.

I'm sitting on her bed, while she's grabbing her make up stuff. She really loves doing my make up, doesn't she? Since she's taking awhile to get all of her make up stuff, I lay down on her bed. Her bed is so comfy. Suddenly she's on top of me with the make up in her hands. "I can just do your make up like this." she smiles and I return the smile with a nod. "I'm not doing everything since we have less time than I expected." she tells me and starts on my make up. I have no idea what she's gonna do, but I trust her since she is amazing at doing make up.
After some time she proudly announces that she is done with the make up. "You can look in the mirror in the bathroom." she says. I nod and try to get up, but she's still on top of me. "Ashlyn I can't stand up like this." I smile at her. "Oh yeah." she says embarrassed. She sits on the bed while I get up and walk to the bathroom. I look into the mirror and grin at myself. I love it. It makes me feel confident. I see Ashlyn behind me, she hugs me from the back. I lean into the hug, feeling warm. "You look beautiful Tory." she tells me. Feeling her breath on my neck is giving me shivers once again. But I really lose my mind when she pushes my hair aside and leaves a kiss on my neck. I close my eyes enjoying every second of this moment. When I open my eyes, I see Ashlyn staring at me through the mirror. We're not saying anything, but we don't need any words. A look in each others eyes is already enough for us. I turn around to look at her instead of in the mirror and I just can't help but kiss her. She has the softest lips. There are so many feelings in this kiss, so many feelings in this moment and so many feelings between us. She makes me feel alive again. Getting caught up in the moment I suddenly think of the fact that we have school and I have no idea what time it is right now. I pull away quickly and ask, "Ashlyn what is the time?" This makes her widen her eyes. She walks back to her bedroom as I assume she left her phone there. I follow her. "Tory." she says giggling. And I already feel like I know what that giggle means. "We're late, aren't we?" I ask rolling my eyes. She nods and giggles again.

Arriving at school, we are 10 minutes late. Which is a lot for me. I know it isn't a lot for Ashlyn, but I've never been 10 minutes to late. Ofcourse I've been late before, but never 10 minutes. We walk into the doors when Ashlyn says something that makes me roll my eyes again. "We could also skip." she says giggling. "No Ashlyn." I say while dragging her to the lockers. "Okay then goodie two shoes."
Walking inside the class, Ms. Miller gives us a mad look. I don't think she appreciates us being late. She's looking at us as if she could murder us right now. This scares me a bit. "Ladies, why are you walking into class together both late at the same time?" "She slept at mine." Ashlyn spills without any doubt. I look at her with wide eyes. Ashlyn sees my expression. "You know friends also have sleepovers right Tory?" she whispers to me. Which makes me relax, she's right. Although everyone is looking at us very suspiciously probably since there are a lot of rumors that I'm a lesbian. I see the teachers eyes shift to mine, "Is that right Miss Jones?" she asks me. "Mhm." I hum nodding my head. She seems to doubt if we're really telling the truth. "Have a seat then. Do you guys remember the seats from last class?" We both nod. "Great." she says focusing back on the rest of the class. Ashlyn and I walk to the two free seats that we also sat last class.
I've noticed that focusing is very hard when I'm sitting next to Ashlyn. Not because of her, but because of me. I just can't seem to take my eyes of her. And I think she's having the same problem. Our hands find each others again and intertwine. Even her hands are soft. We're holding our hands under the table so that no one notices what's happening here.

Suddenly Ashlyn shoves a note my way. I smile and open the note. 'Hey.' is all it says. I must say I love her handwriting. I take the same note since there is still some space on it. And write a simple 'hey' back before giving it back to her. She opens the note already knowing what's gonna be on it. I see her writing on the tiny space left on the note. I open it again after she gives it back to me. What the note says makes me chuckle out loud and I quickly look around if someone heard me, but everyone seemed to busy with other stuff to hear me. 'You look pretty, goodie two shoes.' is what the note says. She's so cute. There is no space on this note anymore so I tear a piece of paper from the notebook on my table. I write 'I could definitely say the same about you Ash.' I've never called her Ash, but it's cute. I see her face light up at the note I wrote. I guess she likes the nickname. Suddenly I see Ms. Miller staring at us and the notes that have been going back and forth between Ashlyn and me. Has she been staring at us this whole time? "Enough. Give those here." The teacher calls out. This makes Ashlyn look up, she didn't notice anything yet. "Is she talking to us?" she whispers. I nod. "If you guys are not going to give those notes you've been writing, I'll get them myself." Ashlyn stands up with the notes. Is she really going to give them? Ashlyn stands next to the teachers desk as she stares at the teacher. "Hand them over." Is all the teacher can say before Ashlyn puts the papers in her mouth. And starts chewing on the papers. This makes me laugh. She's crazy and I love it. The class seems to find this funny as well. The teacher looks at me. "Miss Jones what did those say? Tell the class. I wouldn't have read it in front of the class if your friend here didn't eat the notes." This makes me laugh again. "You think this is funny Miss Jones?" I nod, I have no idea where this confidence came from, but I like it. I could get used to that confidence. This seems to throw the teacher off, not expecting me to act like this. "You both can get out of my class." she says madly. I grab my stuff and stand up. Ashlyn is already standing by the door, waiting for me. She opens the door for us and we both walk out. But Ashlyn has a different plan. She opens the door again. "Oh and Ms. Miller? The notes were delicious." Ashlyn says before shutting the door again.

Love Of Baybur [Participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]
The Sultanate won a huge battle against their enemies of different religion, and now left them with only a piece of land surrounded by Sultanate's forces. Baybur, a yerliyya from a backwater place, is hailed as a hero after the war for his past contributions in a strange manner and is, thus, invited to a banquet prepared by the Sultan and attended by many Great Nobles. To Baybur, who had dreams of stepping on a higher stage in Sultanate's politics, and in his Orta's ranks, this is a chance for him to shine and rise. Yet he, and many in the banquet, knows that victory is far from over. And this presents a chance, with greater risk than before, to impress the Sultan and the Pashas of the Sultanate. Sanjak-beys and Aghas of the Janissary Corps all seek to devour their enemies, both in and out of the Sultanate. And Baybur, in the midst of this brewing storm, is no different from a fish dreaming to be a dragon. But a woman he meets at the banquet changes everything; his goals, his dreams, and his fate. After all, love, without expression, is a deadly curse. As a note, Cover is not mine obviosuly, and I write this both for NaNoWriMo and Writathon. To some history lovers and nerds who specialize in it, I know you might be angered quite a deal with some things I've written.(I get the feeling when someone talks wrong foolish things in a study I know, no hate) But this is a historical fiction written by a seventeen-year-old, don't expect much from me to know every single detail. Much of my research is surface level and some things are, well, to fit plot, are changed. So bear that in mind. For schedule/chapter thingt, there will be at most five chapters until I pass the 55.555 words mark. Each chapter will be around or above 10k+ words. It is also not edited, and probably won't be unless I find a great deal of time in my hands after November to see what I lack in where. That's all. Now go read, or leap to another fiction. Enjoy!
