According to my plan, I'll be leaving to the south by noon. Hopefully I'll be with Selena as soon as the little pup arrives. Turning off the shower, I recognized Lincoln's presence close. He's home. Wrapping up my damp hair in a towel and my body in another, I opened the door.

"Hey Alpha!" I grinned. While he scrutinized my semi packed bag with his hands in his pockets. Still wearing his work attire and a deep scowl on his face. He was always in those moods after a meeting with packs or business related. Sighing, I walked closer to him, snuggling between his arms.

"What's all the packing for? I got enough clothes for you at the pack house. Didn't I?" Lincoln spoke resting above my head.

"I'm going to see Selena." I stated, pulling away from the hug. "I'll be back in two days Lincoln."

Unwrapping my hair, I began drying it. There was no response, so I turned around to look at him. "You better be kidding." His expressions hard as he spoke.

He read my confusion, and continued, "there's no way you're leaving the pack." Lincoln said, like it was the end of the conversation.

"Huh? I don't understand." I threw the towel on the bed, glaring at him.

"It's dangerous out there. You're not leaving the pack without me. I have to go to one of-"

"And why is that?" I raised my voice. "I'm going to the south Lincoln."

"Amelia it's not safe, going out of the pack borders alone. Give me three days, I'll come with you to see your friend."

"Three days is a long time." I walked to the washroom with a change of clothes, to put on. Lincoln slouched on the edge of the bed.

"There's been a rogue attack at the Silver Moon Pack Mia. I have to go, most of the top warriors are also coming with me."

"Is everyone alright?" I walked up to him.

"Yes, but the guards have been injured, very badly." I winced at the thought. "No one died."

"Want me to come with you?" I held his shoulder.

"No, I can take care of it. Stay with in the packs till I'm back." He pulled me between his legs.

"It's gonna be fine Lincoln. I was thinking, I'd take Luke with me."

"Give me a day baby, I'll take you there tomorrow."

"Tomorrow?" I raised my brows. He just said he needed three days.

"Fine, the day after tomorrow. I'll try my best to come back by tomorrow."

"Let Luke take me there today, once you're done with the Silver Moon Pack, come see me there." I smiled. Lincoln began contemplating over the idea. "I can take care of myself baby." I cooed.

He scoffed, "yeah. Remember what happened with Kayden?" He clenched his jaw.

I pushed myself off him, it was a low blow. Why did he have to bring that up?

"Oh fuck!" He rubbed his face, knowing his words upset me. "Come here." He tried to grab me, but I stepped back. "Mia. Come here." He held his palm out for me to take. I crossed my arms over my chest, glaring at him.

"Baby I'm sorry." He spoke again. I shook my head at him.

"Don't you dare come close to me." I warned him through mind link, when he stood up.

"Fine. You'll go with Luke, I'll come get you tomorrow." He held his hand out again for me to take. Which I did take this time. Pulling me in for a hug.

"Thank you." I hung on to his neck.

"You're very stubborn." He carried me to the bed.

"And you're very mean."

"Please tell me you'll be safe."

"I will be."

"Muffin, stay safe." Dad gave one tight squeeze before letting go.

"Bye dad, good bye mum." I waved at my parents before walking to Lincoln through the front porch. He was watching Luke load my bag.

"Ready?" He smiled at me. "Don't stop at dodgy places. I told Luke the rules, once you've reached Selena's pack, their Alpha will report to me. I've informed them about your arrival." My eyes widened, was that even necessary? "Yes, it's very necessary." He smirked at me. I bit my lip, holding back a laugh. Oh, the mate bond.

"I'll miss you." I tiptoed kissing him on the lips with every word.

"You know I'll miss you more." He held my cheeks, kissing me hard.

My dad cleared his throat, looking away. However mum blushed furiously before walking into the house. Seemed like we got a little carried away.

"I'll be waiting for you." I hugged Lincoln one last time before letting go.

"I'll be there as soon as I'm done." He kissed my forehead, and I got into the car. Lincoln shut the door, stepping back. I watched him through the rear windshield, until the image of my house had disappeared from our view. Leaning back into my seat, I relaxed. It was going to be a very long drive.

During the drive, I took the time to get to know Luke, we made small talks while he drove. After about two hours we had managed to drive into a coffee shop to grab a snack. Unfortunately I couldn't mind link Lincoln anymore because of the distance we've travelled, clutching my phone close to me, I took a little nap.

I woke up with a jerk as the vehicle hit a speed bump.

"Sorry Luna, I didn't mean to wake you." Luke apologized.

"It's fine, how long to go?" I asked, stretching out a bit.

"Approximately three hours to go." He answered. Looking out the window, the sun was beginning to set. I sent Lincoln a quick text and he replied in an instant.

A smile crept up when I thought about Selena at the moment, she was minutes away from holding her very own precious pup. Something that she had been waiting for so long now. I was growing impatient to hold the tiny pup. Would he/she look like their mum or dad?

"Patience now, we're getting closer." Heera purred, waking up from her nap.

"Um Luke, can we stop by somewhere? I need to use the restroom."

"Sure Luna, there's a small hotel close by to the city." I sighed, looking out the window. We were now in the midst of the forest. Only a single straight road, led our path.

After entering into a small town, Luke drove into a small inn. Luckily we were still in the werewolf territory.

"Luna let me go ask them. Stay inside. Keep the doors locked till I'm back." I nodded as Luke got out of the vehicle.

The place hardly had any visitors, I jumped when my phone began to buzz.

"Lincoln hello?"

"Why have you stopped?"

I let out a soft laugh, "are you tracking the car?"

"Of course. Why has the car stopped Mia?" He asked again.

"Oh, I needed to use the restroom."

"Are you tired baby?" I hummed in response.

"Carry your phone, when you go into the washroom. Don't hang up!"

"Yes Alpha." I heard him chuckle.

Lincoln was at the Silver Moon Pack right now. He would be staying at their suite for the night, while his dad and Tyler were in charge of our pack.

"Luna?" Luke opened door.

"They have their travellers restrooms on the left side of the building. Would you like to use it? Or we could go somewhere else." He pointed to the corridor that led to the women's restroom.

"It's fine Luke, I'll be back." I hopped out of the car, with my phone in my ear.

Walking into the corridors, I finally made it to the restrooms.

"Found it?"

"Yeah."

"Don't hang up."

"Okay, but I'm leaving the phone on the sink. Give me a minute." I finished my business, washing my hands and drying it. "I'm done." I spoke after picking up the phone.

"Where's Luke?" I heard Lincoln speak before someone bumped into me and I dropped my phone.

"I don't know why I'm here." I sobbed. My throat was sore, I hardly even sounded like myself. My feet trembled every time I tried to stand or move. Kane had arrived and carved his brother's name on my leg, while I was unconscious.

Right now the beast sat on a wooden chair, staring up at the ceiling, his fingers held a syringe. A syringe filled with silver nitrate. It was of no use on me, he had somehow figured out I had no wolf in me. In the process of bringing me here, he must have noticed that I never tried to shift.

"You're here because of what you did to Dean." He puffed a cigarette. "I'm trying to think of ways to kill you. Slowly but painfully." He placed the syringe back in its box, walking up to me. I had to put up an act in order to survive this maniac. He looked disgustingly sick and exasperated. "All for you Dean." He hit his chest.

"W- who is t- that?" I asked quietly.

He smirked. Pulling me up by my hair, I cried out loud. "You don't know your own mate? You fucking bitch." He slapped me to the ground. "Liar."

"I don't know what you're talking about. I don't have a mate." I wept over my own pool of blood. These were my last strings for survival.

"Stop. Lying! You're the exact scent my brother reeked of days before his death." He hollered, picking up the same baseball bat he used earlier.

"S- sir if you want to kill me, please do go ahead. B- but I beg of you to hear me out." I looked down at the ground.

"Speak dammit!" He urged.

"I'm only a bait. The Alpha had used the elders to mask her scent, to keep her safe from you. It's his lover after all." I peaked up at him, glad to see him listening to every word I spoke. "They used me to fool you. Since I'm too weak to fight. P- please let me live." I begged shamelessly.

"Not so fast." He crouched down, his claw running down my arms drawing blood in the process. "I'm so hungry for blood. If Hunters gave you to me as a sacrifice, I'll use it well. You. Die. Regardless." My shoulders slumped in defeat. This was the end Sarah.

"Fine, if you want to kill me, an innocent soul. Do it!" I swallowed. "But before that, avenge the one responsible for your brother's death. Kill the one who betrayed him all along, then destroy me."

"What's her name?"

"Amelia Lovecraft."
