I woke up the next morning feeling empty. My mate wasn't my mate? I was still out of it and couldn't think straight for the longest time.

I went to see Noah to find out the information he had found about Ken.

"Coralina? What are you doing here? I gave you the day off. In fact I gave you the rest of the week off due to, the uh, mate issues." Noah said getting up from his desk.

"I want to know about Ken. More importantly what you know."

He took a deep breath. "Well, I contacted some friends of mine and we found the Stone pack crest on his back. He used some sort of spell to hide it but the spell wore off and it is clearly visible." I nodded.

Every member of every pack has a pack crest. It identifies you as a pack member and depending on the mark, your rank. Mine was a bronze color which symbolized my pack warrior rank.

The only wolves who don't have crests are rouges, instead their scent changes. You can lose your crest and become rouge if you deny your pack, get banished, or are taken into a new pack. When taken into a new pack you have to do a blood oath with the Alpha and the new crests replaces the old one.

"Why he tried to go after you, I'm not sure." Noah continued.

"Why is he here though? Is he a spy that they sent after us?"

"That's part of what I hope to find out here in a bit. I'm going down to question him." He said grabbing his jacket.

I nodded and went back to my room. My phone screen was filled with texts and missed calls from Colton. I picked it up and called him back.

"What the hell happened!?" He answered immediately.

"Well, hello to you too, big brother." I said sarcastically.

"I'm sorry sis, but Noah called me this morning saying that you needed some comforting, and something about your mate being a poser?" He said worriedly.

I took a deep breath and told him everything. From the weird feelings to the mate essence and to Noah questioning him right now.

"I'm going to kill that mutt!" He growled into the phone.

"No you are not, because if he gets killed, it will be by my hand." I said.

He chuckled lowly but I could still tell he was pissed off. "You know, the pack warrior position is still open."

I sighed. "I know, but I can't just leave my pack because of mate issues." I said.

He huffed on the other line and said ok and hung up. I put the phone down and walked to the kitchen to get some food.

Alexa was in there eating her cereal when I got there and she looked up and sent my a pity look when she saw me.

"Cora-"

"Please don't talk about it. It hurts enough as it is." I pleaded with her. She nodded her head and said ok.

Suddenly she clutched her arm in pain. I ran to her and tried to examine the issue. Then both of our eyes turned yellow as we got a mind link.

'Prisoner escaped, class four, Alpha injured. Alert! Alert!'

She cried thinking of her mate. After marking and mating, mates can feel each others pain and emotion.

I stood still. It was Ken. I could still smell his peppermint scent, though it was very faint and taken over by his natural scent. We ran over and found Beta Michael and he took Alexa to Alpha Noah while I joined the hunt for Ken.

I caught on to his scent quickly and led the warriors off to get him. A flash of black went by me to the right and I raced off that way. I was right behind him when I tackled onto his back.

We rolled in the dirt for a while and somehow he ended up onto of me. He shifted and I followed. "You dirty bastard!" I yelled.

He looked down at my naked form and his eyes filled with lust. "No my dear, you may not be my real mate, but I will make you my mate. You will give me pups and be mine forever."

"Never!"

"I will give you another chance. I will be back in two days and if you refuse I will rip your friends and pack into pieces. No one denies an Alpha." He said. He got off me and shifted and ran.

My warriors caught up to me and handed me clothes. I changed swiftly and mind linked Alpha Noah to stop the search and meet me in his office.

When I got there, he was pacing in the office with bandages covering his right leg and an arm in a sling. "Alpha Noah."

"Coralina, we've been friends for years, its just Noah to you. Now what happened? You look like you've been thrown around by a bull."

I told him what had happened during the search. "He said that if I didn't agree to mate with him in two days then he would tear the pack apart. But he also said that he was an Alpha? When we first met him, Alexa and I recognized his scent as rogue?"

"He was a rogue. The Alpha of Stone pack was a rogue who turned into an Alpha by killing the government of theirs. He still stinks of rogue though." Noah said in thought.

I nodded and listened. "So what are we going to do about his threat?"

"We will have a pack meeting to decide at 3 this afternoon. That is in two hours so go and let everyone know."

I nodded and left and went to go get word out. We sent a pack link and also posted about the meeting on the message boards. I got back an hour and a half later and helped get ready for the meeting.

All of our pack piled into the pack hall which could fit over two thousand people in it.

"Everyone! We have a situation to discuss. As you know, Stone Alpha Kendrick was here. He posed as pack warrior Coralina's mate using mate essence and escaped our prison."There were a few gasps in the crowd and mothers held onto their children.

"Well, we have a matter to discuss. He has threatened our community. If pack warrior Coralina refuses to mate with him in two days, he will bring his pack and allies and attack." Everyone burst into murmurs and shouts of horror.

"SILENCE!" Beta Michael growled out. They all fell into complete silence.

"We must decide what to do."

"Send her to him!"

"Feed her to the wolves!"

"Why should we suffer because of her choices?!" Were the shouts that came out. My heart dropped that my own pack was going against me.

"We will take it to a vote." Alexa said. I looked at her in horror. "All those who wish to send Pack Warrior Alexa away to Stone pack say I."

The room erupted in I's.

"Those who say nay."

There was complete silence.

"The I's have it. Guards, grab her." she said sending me a deathly glare.

"What!?" Noah said.

"Think about your pack and our pup!" She growled at him. He backed away and was in thought. The guards waited for his order.

"Take her away and drop her at the border. Let her collect her things and leave." He said.

Betrayal. That is what I felt. My friends, pack, and warriors had all betrayed me. No one stood up for me. After everything I had done for them, and they were going to push me away like this.

I felt anger and sadness. The world really is dark and cruel.

I felt stinging on my back and knew my pack crest was practically being ripped away from me. My pack had banished and rejected me. Turning me into nothing.

Guards escorted me to my quarters where I grabbed my things and was taken to the border. They threw me to the other side of pack lines and sent me pitiful and angry looks.

I shifted and ran off tot he lake nearby. When I got there I shifted back and cried on the shoreline.

"Well, looks like your pack abandoned you." I heard his voice say behind me. "Looks like you are all mine." I turned and saw him smirking behind me.

"No! I refuse to be your mate!" I said scrambling to get up and taking a defensive stance.

"Too bad. You are mine and no one else. You will be my pack Luna and bear my children."

"Can't you do that with your actual mate!?"

"I killed my mate."

My eyes flew open. "What?! Why?!"

"She was a weak omega who deserved to die. When I heard about the strong pack warrior who happened to be a she-wolf, I was intrigued."

My heart stopped. This was it. My life was truly over.

I heard a voice in my head. I didn't know where it came from since it wasn't my wolf's voice, but thats what I did. I ran. I shifted into my wolf form and ran. He growled and raced after me and I ran for my life.

He chased me for about ten miles before he caught me, tackling me to the ground. He shifted and I followed. He grabbed me and bounded my wrists and picked me up. I struggle at first but the rope was laced with silver so I gave up.

This was my fate. My pack abandoned and betrayed me and now I was going to be forced to mate with an evil Alpha who killed his mate.

My life was truly over and there was nothing I could do about it except run away, but then he would just bring me back and probably rape me.

I heard a car pull up and I was thrown into the back and he climbed in after me.

"Are we clear Alpha?" The driver asked.

"Yes."

He pulled away.

"And who is this beauty?"

"This will be our new Luna." He said smugly smirking at me.

"Nice piece of ass." Ken laughed at the comment.

"Yes she is. I can't wait to start making some pups with her." He said.

A shiver went through my body and tears fell down my cheeks. We pulled into he pack and all I got was hateful glares from women and lusting looks from the men. A group of older women gave me pitying looks.

Ken grabbed me and marched to a building and threw me in a cell. "I will be back and we can get started. He left slamming the door and locking it.

I grabbed my knees and held them to my chest as I took in the dull, dark cell around me. Tears kept running down my face. This was officially it.
