It was Monday and I was on my way to school

Last night Aaron dropped me off home and thankfully my mom wasn't there when I arrived, I spent the rest of the night staring at the ceiling and listening to music, so I barely got any sleep

I'm not sure what I felt about Aaron, I mean he probably dislikes me, but the way he kissed me

I need to stop thinking about him

I also have to find a place to live or stay in for a while, I don't know if I can live with my mom anymore, it doesn't even feel like I have a mom

She's always hated me, around the time I was 9 years old she would always lock me in the bathroom and make me go days without eating

I remember how I was always compared to other kids and how she wished I was different

I wish I was different too

She got even worse after my father passed away, that's when she started putting her hands on me and letting random men go in my room and touch me

When my father was around I felt safer, he was an amazing person, he made me feel worthy and confident in myself

he used to tell me that my greatest responsibility is to love myself, I wish he would've listened to his own advice, I hated him for what he fucking did

My mom drove him crazy to the point where he commit suicide, I was 12 and I had to watch him to do it, I couldn't stop him, I couldn't convince him that life was worth living

Because it wasn't

Ever since that day I blamed myself for his death, maybe If I would've tried harder he would have still been here with me, but he's not

Blinking away tears from the memory of my dad I stepped inside the school and headed towards my first class, I couldn't help but grow nervous at the thought of seeing Aaron

Was he gonna talk to me or just ignore me?

I kept my gaze on the floor as I headed into class avoiding eye contact with anyone

As I sat at my seat I slowly moved my eyes from my desk to my left seeing Aaron's gaze already on mine

He was leaning back in his chair as his legs were spread apart in front of him, he was slightly turned in my direction while his eyes were on me causing me to grow nervous

Why the hell was he just looking at me

"Um hi?"

He turned his eyes back to the front of the class without responding to me

He really was weird sometimes, I wonder what he was thinking about

We didn't talk or look at each other as class passed by

I wonder if he regretted kissing me

After the first 3 periods slowly went by the bell rang and it was lunchtime, I got up and headed past the cafeteria but I suddenly felt a hand grabbing my wrist turning me around

Turning around my eyes landed on Juliette

"Hey Jennie, I was wondering if you wanted to meet my friends" she said while smiling at me

The idea of talking to people made me grow tense

"Um yeah sure" I hesitantly said

"Alright follow me, there a bit weird but trust me they are really nice so there's no need to feel nervous"

I followed her quietly as she headed towards the back of the cafetaria holding on to my wrist

As we reached her table I looked up and spotted two guys and a girl sitting from across from them

"Hey guys this is Jennie the girl I told you guys about" Juliette uttered causing them to look up at me

"Just letting you know right of the bat im single" one of the guys suddenly said

He had messy blond hair falling over his forehead as well as brown eyes that were staring right at me

"Adam shut the fuck up and try not to make her uncomfortable right away" The girl sitting across from him quickly said smacking his head

"What the fuck ouch, you just messed up my perfect hair"

"Nothing about you is perfect now will you please shut the fuck up and introduce yourselves to Jennie" Juliette suddenly said

"Hey my names Emma, I'm Juliette's girlfriend, the annoying one is Adam and that one is Xaiver" Emma announced pointing at the guy next to Adam

Looking over at him, Xaiver had brown curly hair as well light blue eyes, he gave me a small smile before going back to eating his food

"Um it's nice meeting you guys my names Jennie"

"Yea Juliette already told us" Adam quickly said

"Shut the fuck up you dumb shit" Emma suddenly uttered

"Alright stop arguing, Jennie you can sit next to me" Juliette said as I sat next to her across from Xaiver

"So Jennie, you single?" Adam muttered turning towards me

I heard Juliette sigh as she thru a piece of bread towards his face causing him to fall back as Emma laughed at him

"You deserved that man" Xavier suddenly said looking at him

"What do you all have against me im like the most fun person here"

"We love you man but your not fucking funny your just straight up stupid" Emma said

I sat there frozen listening in to there conversation, I never really had friends so I didn't know what to say or do

"Jennie do you think im funny" Adam all of a sudden said with a smirk

"No" I said causing his smirk to disappear

"See no one find you funny dumbass" Juliette said getting up and slinging her arm around Emma's shoulder as the bell rang

"Well lunch went by pretty quickly I'll see you rude fucks later and it was nice meeting you Jennie" Adam said walking away

"It was nice meeting you guys too" I replied rising out of my seat and heading to my next class

I suddenly felt someone behind me as I slowed down and spotted Xaiver walking next to me

"You don't talk much do you?" he suddenly said

I hate when people ask that, like what the hell do you want me to talk about, like what you want me to sing for you or some shit?

"You don't seem like you talk much either" I replied looking at him

He suddenly chuckled as I looked away from him, but my eyes suddenly landed on someone

Ahead of us Aaron was leaning against a locker as his gaze was directed at Xaiver with a look of anger across his face

Why was he looking at him like that?

He suddenly shifted his gaze to me while his eyes ran up and down my body causing me to grow tense

He tore his gaze off me and walked away

What the hell was that about?
