I said while bouncing Nikita, she refused to sleep and I already fed her, changed her nappy and burped her but she wasn't budging. Thank God Leonardo already put Mariano and Junior to bed .

" I can't wait to come back home so you guys can meet them , u Oyintando no Olothando have Daddy's eyes." I said before glancing down at Nikita and she still was wide awake, I sighed before continuing to rock her to sleep.

" u Tata unamehlo amahle so I just know my nephews are going to get all the girls, that's how daddy got mommy . " (Daddy has beautiful eyes - )

I burst out laughing at my sister's statement and my mom simply shook her head while blushing.

" ubhuti wakho uyakwazi uba ubelekile ? " (Does your brother know that you gave birth ?)

" Ewe mama , I couldn't reach you guys earlier on so I called him. I showed them to him and Mihlali and they instantly were attached to them , they didn't even want me to hang up . " (Yes mother -) I chuckled thinking back to my brother's facial expression when I told him I gave birth to triplets, him and his wife were genuinely happy.

" You were always I favorite ka bhuti kaloku wena, I can already imagine how much he's going to spoil the triplets ."

" I on the other hand can not wait to teach my niec--"

My sister got cut off by my father walking into the room and even through the iPad screen, you could feel the suffocating tension. After seconds of silence my mom broke the silence.

" I belekile intombhi yakho izolo ekuseni , zi triplets . " (your daughter gave birth yesterday morning, it's triplets)

" Molweni Tata ." (hello father.) I said giving a faint smile and he only nodded.

" Can I see them ?"

I nodded before flipping the camera so I can give him a better view of the triplets .

" This is Luthando, our daughter and these are her brothers, Oyintando and Olothando ." I said showing him my little babies and he smiled but it faded real quickly . He cleared his throat before speaking.

" Bahle ." (they're beautiful.)

He said before leaving the room and I sighed before flipping the camera on me again.

" Give him some time mntanam ."

" Okay ma, I have to go now but hopefully I can talk to you guys soon." I said not even attempting on hiding my disappointment. Why won't my father swallow his pride and accept that I am grown and I can settle with whoever I want to settle down with , white or black, why ?!

" Okay baby , don't mind your father please . Just focus on your new family and know that we love you ."

" Yes sis , we love you."

The twins said at the same time and I giggled ending the call but not before telling them that I loved them. I sat my phone down and looked down at my daughter .

" Andi dinwe mntanam, khawulale torho . " (I'm so tired my child, please go to sleep .) I said pleading and she smiled, flashing me her pink gums. I shook my head at her and Leonardo walked into the room with takeaway bags .

" She's still up ? " he asked before setting the bags down and went over to the sink to wash his hands.

" Yes , she won't go to sleep ." I said whining and Leonardo chuckled before taking her from me and handed me the food.

" Why won't you go to sleep baby ? Why are you giving your mommy a hard time ?" he cooed at her and she made adorable baby noises which earned a smile from Leonardo, I've never seen him this happy .

" So how did your family react to them ?" Leonardo asked while walking back and forth trying to get Nikita to sleep.

" They loved them ! My mother can't wait meet them and my sisters can't wait to meet you ." I said while eating my fries and he laughed before setting a sleeping Nikita on her bed.

" And your father ? Did he see them ?" he asked before sitting at the bottom of my bed and I nodded while chewing on my fries.

" and how did that go ? " he asked before scooping my feet and placing them on his lap and started rubbing them .

" Thank you baby ! , " I said batting my eyelashes at him ," and it actually didn't go as bad as I thought it would but it could've went better ." I said shrugging and he nodded.

" Did you tell your family ?" I asked while looking at him and he nodded with a grin.

" judging by your grin, I'm assuming they were pleased ?" I questioned while stirring my drink with my straw.

" Yes they were, Luciano wanted to fly here by tomorrow but I told him we were flying back to New York tomorrow ." he said and I giggled thinking of Luciano.

" I can't wait to leave this hospital, their beds are so uncomfortable." I said repositioning myself on the bed .

" I can imagine but you'll be out of here first thing tomorrow morning okay ? " he said, laying next to me on the bed and pulled me to his chest and kissed the top of my head.

" Okay . " I said snuggling closer to his chest .

" I can't believe we're parents . " he said before chuckling .

" It's crazy isn't it ?! " I said and he only nodded, while massaging my scalp with his fingers .

" uhmm... Babe ?" I called out and he looked down at me.

" Yes mama ."

" Do you uhmm... Would you ever leave the mafia one day ?" I asked while fidgeting with the zip of his jacket.

" No." he said quicker than I expected .

" Wow that was quick, you didn't even think about it ." I said removing my hands from his chest .

" Because there's nothing to think abo--Amanda what's wrong ? " he asked when I removed myself from his embrace .

" Leonardo I respect what you and your family do but I don't want my children to be exposed to that kind of lifestyle , I don't want them to be involved in any way. I want them to live a normal life Leonardo." I said almost pleading at him and he sighed before sitting up on the bed.

" You're asking too much from me Amanda , I'm not saying I want my children to inherit my position at the mafia and neither do I want them to be caught up in this lifestyle but the mafia is all I know. I didn't choose the mafia, the mafia choose me . A normal life is something our children will never live, at least not here in the US ! Maybe in South Africa but I doubt because it's only a matter of time before our name reaches South Africa. I can't guarantee them a normal life but I can guarantee them a safe one , both you and them. " he said reaching out to grab my hand but I quickly got off the bed and went into the bathroom to freshen up, leaving him behind.

I sighed before brushing my teeth and taking a shower . After my shower, I dried myself up and moisturized my body before putting on my Grey joggers and matching hoodie and white socks. I styled my braids before leaving the bathroom, the same time one of the triplets woke up and started crying, Leonardo Jnr to be specific. Leonardo picked him up and his cries quickly calmed down but shortly after, his brother, Mariano burst into tears .

" I got him." I said softly before walking towards his bed and scooping him up .

" Why are you crying baby ? Are you hungry ?" I cooed at him before putting the back of my finger on his lip and he instantly sucked on it meaning he was indeed hungry. I got on the bed and took off my hoodie leaving my upper body exposed. I placed Mariano on my lap and breastfed him.

" Can you give me Junior ?" I said to Leonardo and he carefully placed him on the right side of my lap and he sucked on my other breast. They were so tiny and that was an advantage to me because I could easily breastfeed them both at the same time.

" Are you okay ? " Leonardo asked when I winced at them sucking hard on my swollen nipples .

" I'll be okay , can you cover me with that blanket please ." I said while pointing at the throw blanket he bought yesterday.

" Sure ." he said before grabbing the blanket and covering me .

" You look beautiful ." he said kissing my forehead and I decided to tease him a little.

" I know . " I simply said wiping my forehead before looking down at my babies .

" Now I know you angry and all but did you just wipe off my kiss ? " he asked with a visible mug on his face and I simply just shrugged before doing it again.

" It's just hot in here ." I mumbled and he only straight faced me.

" Amand--" I burst out laughing , cutting him off.

" You should've seen your face, priceless !" I laughed throwing my head back and he rolled his eyes at me .

" Funny ." he said with a straight face and playfully rolled my eyes at him.

" So you're not mad ? " he asked and I shrugged before handing him Mariano so he can burp him and I can burp Leonardo .

" I may not agree but I understand where you're coming from . But Leonardo you better promise me that my children will be safe, I don't want to bury one of my children , I want them to bury me . I want them to live a long life Leonardo." I said before wiping the tears that were forming at the corners of my eye.

" I promise mama . " he said before leaning down for a kiss and I met him halfway, connecting our lips .

" I love you. "

" I love you too. " he said looking at me with a smile from ear to ear.

" I was talking to my son ." I said and he chuckled before nudging me.

" Leonardo I swear I would've popped your ass if I dropped my son."
