《Unveiling the Arcane》Sage

I was still cursing Dante in my mind even though it was the next day, and I was sitting in the library with Maddox. It was my day off so I decided to go to the university library to read everything I could. I was halfway through a book on the different species when I read something interesting. "Holy shit," I whisper-yelled to Maddox.
He looked up at me, "What?"
"This book says that Unseelie Fey are like what humans call vampires?" I angled the book towards him.
He smirked. "Yeah, why do you think they don't get along with the shifters?"
I glared at him, "How does that even make sense? Fey and vampires just don't have anything in common."
He reluctantly nodded his head in agreement. "Fairies are the biological combination of Demons and Angels. This is true but it's all about nature. Fairies who are more demonic than angelic biologically are Unseelie. The ones who have more angelic traits are Seelie."
"So Unseelie are bad and Seelie is good?" I questioned.
He gave me a sharp look, "Are you and the twins bad?"
"No of course not," I answered automatically.
"Just because the Unseelie are demonic by nature doesn't mean they are evil. Just like the Seelie aren't all good just because they are angelic by nature." He explained.
I nodded my head in understanding, "Did you know that Mandy is an Unseelie fey?" I asked him.
He shook his head. "No, I had no idea. Usually, they are gloomier. That girl is always happy."
"I guess you can't judge all species by their traits." I shrugged my shoulders.
I had already read through a book of laws before this, and I felt like my head was about to explode. I was done for the day. "Let's go. I'll break my brain if I keep going today." I announced.

We gathered up our stuff and I followed Maddox out of the building. He carried my bag for me over his shoulder. The big guy was such a sweetie. The more I got to know about him the more I wanted to go and kick the asses of every member of his family.
He stopped to wait for me when I fell behind. "There is just one thing I don't understand," I say slipping my hand into his.
He looked down at me questioningly, so I continued, "If there are laws that prevent the unauthorized execution of dangerous species why was my dad hiding what he was? Why are you guys still so worried it'll happen to me?"
He pulled his hand away to answer, "Just because there is a law preventing it doesn't mean that it'll keep people from doing it. Drinking and driving is illegal and yet people still do it. I don't know it might be safer to declare you to the ASF. They would put a protection detail on you but then again you would be known and could become a target." He explained.
"Would doing that keep the twins and you guys safe? I'm already in danger after all." I replied.
He sighed silently, "There's no way to really tell. I think this is something we should talk to the guys about and not consider much unless things with your stalker get even worse." He answered.
"It already is worse. They cornered me outside in the dark. They couldn't have had good intentions. I doubt it was all to scare me. I think we need to consider this option now. I want you guys to be safe." I answered.
"Then bond with all of us and we can protect each other." He smirked down at me.

"Oh yeah, like that's such an easy decision," I said sarcastically glancing down at my covered wrists.
"It's not. But the best decisions in life are the ones that are hard to make. It hurts more being separate and safer than being connected and in danger." He sighed with a serious face I had never seen on him before.
"I never considered it that way from your point of view. I was more worried about keeping you out of danger." I answered truthfully.
"Well stop. I'm a big boy and I can make my own decisions. Let me worry about me and you can worry about everything else." He smirked again.
I nodded my head thinking for a moment. "Okay. Let's do it." I answered after we had been walking for a while.
"Do what?" Maddox looked over at me confused.
"Let's bond." I agreed.
It wasn't an easy decision, but I had been thinking about it a lot since our last conversation and this one had just cemented everything for me. Maybe I was being selfish, but I was okay with that. I deserved to be selfish occasionally. I was falling for all these guys and if my species made that an acceptable thing, I was going to take advantage of it. I wanted them all; even Dante though I wasn't ready to admit that to him yet.
The truth was that in the month I had known these guys I had fallen in love with all of them. I already belonged to Aiden and Caden, but I felt like just as much like I belonged to Maddox and Dante. "Really?" Maddox asked turning to face me.
I nodded. "Yeah, it doesn't feel right just being bonded to the twins. I need you and Dante too." I answered truthfully.
Maddox rushed forward arms wrapped around me lifting me from my feet. His lips crashed into mine without warning. The soft warmth of his mouth melted into mine and I couldn't have refrained from moving my lips against his even if I had wanted to. One of his hands cupped the back of my head gently angling my head towards him a little more.
His tongue glided delicately against my bottom lip, and I allowed him entry. He swept in with soft lazy caresses. My mind went fuzzy, and I allowed myself to fall into the kiss and not think about anything else while I just enjoyed this moment. When he pulled away, I wasn't ready and found myself pouting as he set me down on my feet.
He smiled a soft gentle smile before grabbing my hand and leading me the rest of the way back to the cabin. I knew there would be more talking, and I needed to finally have the talk with the twins that I had been avoiding. If I was ready to make this move with Maddox, then I was ready to forgive the twins. I would make them grovel, but I would still forgive them. Though this may make excellent blackmail material to get whatever I want in the future. Containing my hysterical evil villain laugh I followed Maddox back home.

THIRTEEN (Evie's Perspective)
This is the 2003 movie, Thirteen, told from the perspective of Evie Zamora. We got Tracy's point of view, but what about Evie? Why did she do the things she did?I've seen a few different interpretations of Evie's perspective and I decided to give it a go. This is how I think Evie thought and the reasons behind why she did the things she did. This is NOT canon, just a fanfiction, and I am not affiliated with Thirteen or Catherine Hardwick in any way.
