《King of The Vamps》Blood Bag

It was a week later and Amaryllis was still living in Ulric's quarters. She did little chores around his space like cleaning up little things, helping him to organize his work stuff, nothing too hands-on being that her wrist was broken.
Even though she was living in his quarters, Amaryllis hadn't seen Ulric barely at all in the last week. He was constantly working, doing all of his duties as King, or training. He would leave her a list of what he wanted to be accomplished for each day taped to the door so she would know what to do since he was always gone before she woke up. Sometimes she would hear him come back in the very early morning.
She slept better in the bedroom than she had in the dungeon obviously as it was cozy and warm and everything smelled of Ulric, but she still had trouble sleeping. She slept amazingly the first night, but Ulric was also there when she fell asleep. Lately, he had been gone still by the time she was ready for bed. It was as if she couldn't sleep without being near Ulric, even if he was in a different room. She laid awake, waiting for him to come back and would then finally get to sleep.
Just like that day, Ulric left a list of small, easy things for her to do. One of the things he wanted to be done was for her to wash all of his dirty clothes from the past week. He came back at 2 a.m. that morning and was gone by 6:45 when Amaryllis got up and ready for the day.
It was 10 p.m. and Ulric still wasn't back. Amaryllis was exhausted and just had to fold all of her work clothes that she washed earlier that day before she could go to sleep. She finished folding everything and was finally walking to her bedroom to go to sleep.
The doors opened to the chamber, scaring the young girl and causing her to drop her freshly folded clothes on the ground. She picked her clothes up and cradled them in the crook of her arm to prevent them from putting any pressure on her injured wrist.
She looked up and was immediately met with Ulric's vibrant silver eyes with flecks of all types of colors swirling in them. They entranced her and it was as if she was in a daze staring at his eyes until he spoke, pulling her out of her trance.
"What are you still doing up? It's almost 10:30." His deep, masculine voice sounded like heaven to Amaryllis.
"I was washing my work clothes, Sir," she responded. Her body was tingling because they were so close together. She wanted to close the distance between them and feel his skin against her own, but she refrained.
Ulric nodded and walked passed her and down the hallway to get to his bedroom. When he walked past, she caught the scent of a sickeningly sweet perfume. How Kayla brought that horrid perfume here, Amaryllis had no idea, but she recognized the disgusting smell anywhere. Ulric had been with Kayla.

It all added up, too. When he was standing in front of her, she noticed his hair was disheveled more than normal, and his suit that he was wearing looked like it was just thrown on without any care, unlike the pristine way he normally looked when he wore suits.
Amaryllis wanted to throw up. Yeah, she was an inexperienced girl, but she wasn't stupid. She knew he had just come back from having sex with Kayla. She was very jealous, angry even at the realization. She wondered why he continued to pick Kayla over her.
Amaryllis didn't even know why she was jealous or why she wanted the King to "pick" her. She didn't even know the guy, and most of the time she spent with him he acted like a jerk. She didn't know why she felt a pull toward him, but she also didn't care. For some reason, unbeknown to her, she was seriously attracted to the man, and she didn't want other women to have him.
Tears pricked her eyes and she ran into her room. She put her clothes in the dresser and threw her body onto the bed. She refused to cry over some random man she barely knew that she had some weird connection to and that slept around with horrible girls.
She tried to fall asleep, but couldn't as thoughts of him and Kayla together plagued her mind. So, she got up from her bed and walked into the kitchen. She was hungry because she didn't eat dinner. They were serving meatloaf and she absolutely despised meatloaf.
She hoped he might have something that a human could eat in his fridge. She opened up the fridge but sadly didn't see anything in it, except for a lot of blood bags. Since Amaryllis was 18, she was used to getting blood taken.
Out of curiosity, she picked up a blood bag and looked at the name of the donor that was printed on it. She wanted to see if she knew who any of the donors were.
Her eyes went wide when she saw the name printed on the blood bag: Amaryllis T. Westbay. That was her name. She was surprised to see her age and address were listed below her name as well. Vampires had records of human information like that, but only the high-up ones like Royals, not just every normal vampire. She only knew this because Thierry told her when they hung out the other day.
Apparently, the normal vampires couldn't have this information in order to prevent them from tracking down a human whose blood they liked and taking it directly from the source. The bags shouldn't show such information, so why did this one show all of her's?
What surprised her even more, was that when she picked up other bags to see if other people's information was printed on them as well, she noticed all of them had her name printed on them. All of the blood in Ulric's fridge was her's.
Amaryllis jumped when she felt a hand on her shoulder. She turned around and looked up in fear at Ulric.
Why did he only have my blood in his fridge?

"I see I have a snoop living with me," Ulric said and gazed down at the blood bag she was holding in her hands.
"I-I'm sorry. I was just hungry and I was hoping you had something, bu-but then I saw these. Why... why do you have all of these?" Amaryllis asked. She felt kind of creeped out, as if she had a stalker.
"Becuase Amaryllis, your blood is the most satisfying and delicious... seductive thing I have ever tasted." He said huskily. Amaryllis felt her body growing hot. She hoped he would lean down and kiss her at that moment.
"Why do you have so many?" The young girl timidly asked.
"I had the pleasure of tasting your blood first. No other vampire has ever tasted your blood, Amaryllis. Your first donation was sent to me, and I loved it. From then on, I requested all of your donations come directly to me." At that point, the fridge had closed and Ulric was an inch in front of her.
That made sense, being that she had only been 18 for ten months, he wouldn't have all that much blood. But then she remembered something that she used to just shrug off.
"You requested to have my blood more than once a month." She said, less of a question and more of an accusation.
He smiled at her, not a nice or humorous one though. "Smart girl."
"They used to summon me two or three times a month. My parents thought their system was screwed up or something. And they always took way more than anyone else. My mom would have to hold me to her side so I wouldn't fall over when we walked back home." She said, everything finally making sense.
She just brushed all of it off, thinking the workers just didn't enter her information correctly into the system or something. Thus, they thought she needed to go more often and get more blood taken than others. But now she understood, Ulric wanted more of her blood.
"I've been stocking up, Amaryllis. Saving your delicious blood for when I need it." He said as he ran his nose along my jugular vein.
Ulric could hear the young girls heart race, she was nervous at their close interaction. She was trying to anticipate his actions.
"Why do you have my information? You shouldn't have that," She whispered as Ulric ran his tongue up her neck to her jaw.
"Why do you think I picked your town for the Harvest? So I could have you here, a direct source. I needed to know where you lived," He said and then bit down on the soft skin of Amaryllis's neck, not drawing blood though. Then he turned and walked back down the hallway to his bedroom.
Amaryllis was left stunned. She put the blood bag back into the fridge and went to her room as she held her hand over the spot on her neck that Ulric had just bitten. She only fell asleep at 3 in the morning when her mind was too exhausted to keep thinking about what Ulric had told her.
Ulric felt disgusted having sex with Kayla, but it was the only way to keep Amaryllis out. His goal was to push the girl as far away as possible, even if it meant sleeping with girls he didn't want to. Even if it meant sleeping with girls who he took from behind so he didn't see their faces as he imagined making love to Amaryllis instead.
Amaryllis wasn't supposed to find the supply of blood, but she did, so Ulric had to improvise. It was true, he was the first and only vampire to ever taste her blood. The newest girls' blood always goes directly to him so he can decide if any blood is good enough to request again. But he was surprised when he tasted Amaryllis Westbay's. He never imagined he would taste blood as good as that girl's.
What was even more shocking than the taste was the discovery that went along with it: she was his mate. A royals', especially a kings', bond to their mate was so strong that even by simply tasting their blood, they can tell who their mate is.
He demanded that her blood only is sent to him and to no other vampire, and the bags must have her printed information on them. He wanted her information so he would know where to find her. He could not get enough of her blood as it was the most delicious blood he had ever encountered.
The location of the Harvest wasn't random as it had been in all the years previous. That year Ulric went to Amaryllis's town to find her and to take her back with him. He didn't want anyone else to have his mate or to possibly hurt his mate. He wanted to be as close as possible to the girl, even though that created a strong battle inside of him.
He still punished the girl, as he didn't want to have a mate or experience love, but he refused to let anyone else have her. He blamed keeping her in the dungeons on the fact that she "disrespected" him at the Harvest. She was his whether either of them liked it or not.
He didn't take her back to his home just to feed on her as he told the girl, but to be near her. He would never tell Amaryllis about their bond though, it would only make it harder to avoid her.
When he knew Amaryllis had gone back to her bedroom and was fast asleep, Ulric came out of his and went back into the kitchen.
He grabbed a blood bag from out of the refrigerator and poured the contents into a glass. He opened Amaryllis's door and stood next to her bed, watching as she slept.
He sighed in delight as he tasted her blood on his tongue. He stayed in her room for over an hour just watching his beautiful mate sleep. That was the farthest he was willing to go with the girl.
