《The Babysitter✔️》Chapter||36

Today was prom.
Jace and I made plans to meet a bunch of people at six o'clock to have a picture party. The dance wouldn't start till eight o'clock, but Lily came over at noon to get ready.
So far we had just been sitting on my bed watching Netflix and haven't accomplished anything.
Around three, Lily started to do my makeup. When she was done I looked in the mirror. "Oh my gosh, It looks so good," I marveled as I looked in the mirror. I had pink eyeshadow and bright red lips.
"Do you like it?" She asked hopefully.
"Of course I do, thank you so much," I groveled.
We continued to get ready and before we knew it it was five thirty. Jace and Lilly's date would be here soon.
We were doing the finishing touches on our makeup when there was a knock at my bedroom door. I opened it to reveal Tyler. He had his hair gelled back and wore a crisp suit. In his hand was a light pink bow tie.
"Can you tie this for me?" He asked slightly embarrassed when he realized Lily was in the room.
"Yeah," I said with a chuckle as I took it from him and tied it around his neck.
"Thanks," he smiled "I'm going to go pick up Amy and we will meet you at the Park."
"Ok see you there," I smiled and hugged him.
Only a few minutes after Tyler left we heard the doorbell ring.
Lily and I went downstairs and opened the door. There stood Jace. He had a red tie to match my dress and a navy suit.
He looked hot.
His hair was effortlessly swept to the side. His suite was a little too small for him so his muscles were visible through his jacket.
Lily interrupted my moment of checking out Jace when she said "There's Derek's car. I'm going to go with him. We will meet you guys at the park."

"See you there," I said and gave her a hug "Thank you for doing my makeup." As she walked past Jace, they exchanged smiles, then she proceeded to walk over to her dates car.
Now it was just Jace and me.
"You look gorgeous," he smiled and admired my bright red dress.
"Thanks," I blushed as we both exchanged looks for a moment. He eventually pulled me into a tight embrace. He lingered a moment before releasing me.
"I have to get my purse and your boutonnière and then we can go," I told him as we both walked inside my house.
I went upstairs and grabbed all my stuff. I shoved some lipgloss and powder in my bag and grabbed the box with the boutonnière.
I walked down the stairs again to find Jace in the living room looking at pictures on the fireplace. "Ready?" I asked.
"Let's go," he said as we walked to the door. He got there first so he held it open for me, "ladies first."
"What a gentleman," I mocked as I walked past him. Before I could make it out the door I felt a smack on my ass. I rolled my eyes and turned around to face him, "I take it back."
Jace was snickering, "I couldn't help it ."
We walked to his car which was parked in the driveway. He ran in front of me and opened the passenger seat door for me. "Thank you," I giggled.
The drive to the park was only 15 minutes, so we got there in what felt like no time at all. After he parked the car, Jace quickly got out to get the door for me.
I beat him to it though. By the time he had gotten to me, I was already out of the car.
"Hey," He glared at me with a small pout, "I was gonna get that for you."

"Sorry," Was all I said with a smile as we walked to the park entrance. The park had a creek going through it, so we had to do was go down a path and then across a small bridge to get to everyone else.
As we walked, Jace put his hand around my waist. I smiled as I leaned in and kissed him on the cheek. As soon as I pulled away, I burst into laughter.
"What is it?" He asked with a furrowed brow.
"I got my lipstick all over your cheek," I giggled as I grabbed his face to try and wipe it off.
Jace quickly dodged my hand though. "Let me wipe it off," I commanded.
"No," He stated.
"No?" I questioned.
"I like it. It's like you marked your territory so all the other girls will stay away," He said with a proud smirk.
"No, Jace, please," I whined as I tried once more to wipe the red stain off of his cheek.
We eventually walked over to the bridge where all our friends were. Lily and Derek were already there, and so were Tyler and Amy. Tyler noticed us walking over and said something to Amy before walking over to us.
"Johnson, you got something on your face," Tyler laughed when he saw Jace's face. I rolled my eyes.
"Hey brother," Jace greeted Tyler and they embraced each other in a hug and patted each other's back.
What the Hell.
"Did I miss something?" I asked in shock. I knew that Ty and Jace were on good terms but I didn't know that they were friends.
"Johnson and I became fast friends after I helped him out with the whole Promposal thing," Tyler said casually.
"Yeah," Jace added, "We realized that we both have something really important in common... You"
Before I knew it, Jace and Tyler had both pulled me in for a massive bear hug. I would be lying if I said that it didn't warm my heart.
My two boys.
"That's enough, I still need to get used to the idea of you guys not hating each other," I laughed as they pulled away.
"I'm going to go back to Amy," Tyler said, I'll see you guys in a few minutes.
Now it was just Jace and me once again. He pulled out the box with my corsage. He opened it, and with one swift motion placed it on my wrist.
It was beautiful. Red and pink flowers were placed throughout it to make one stunning design. "Aww thank you, Jace, it's so pretty."
"Do you like it?" He asked with a crooked grin, "Cal picked it out."
"I love it," I smiled as I took the boutonniere out of the box. "Just a warning, I have no idea what I'm doing," I stated as I took the pins out of the flower and attempted to pin it to his lapel. When I was finished, Jace and I both looked at it and started laughing. It was crooked and starting to get droopy. "I tried..." I said with a smile.
"It looks perfect," He said in a raspy voice as he pulled me closer to him. He leaned over to my face so that our cheeks were touching. "I love you, Alexis," He whispered quietly into my ear. A shiver went down my spine as I looked into his eyes. Every nerve in my body was exploding. No one could ever make me feel this way. At that moment, I knew that I would never stop loving Jace Johnson.
