"What the fuck?" Was the first thing I heard when I woke up. I opened my eyes and winced at my headache. Tyler was standing in the doorway and I was on top of Jace.
"West, I can explain," I heard Jace say as he tried to sit up, but I was sprawled out on top of him.
"Did u nail my sister last night?" Tyler asked with a furrowed brow.
"No, she got drunk so I took her back here but we fell asleep. I wouldn't take advantage of her," Jace said sternly.
Before Tyler could say anything else, I sat up. My hair was a ratty mess and I could barely open my eyes.
"Damn...."Tyler groveled "you actually got wasted."
I pursed my lips, "Shut up, you know what happens when I drink."
"Aww I'm so proud of you," he smirked "I'm going to go take a shower... I'll leave you guys to it, I guess," he stated as he turned around and closed the door behind him.
Now it was just me and Jace. I was sitting on his lap with my head resting on his shoulder.
"Are you feeling okay?" Jace asked as he swept the hair out of my face.
"I just have a headache," I mumbled with a small wince.
We sat there for a few more minutes. Jace was rubbing my back tenderly. "I love you, Lex," he whispered in my ear.
"I love you too Jacey," I smiled as I sat up and kissed him.
*beep beep beep*
Jace reaches down and grabbed his phone. "It's Cal," he told me and then answered it, "Hey bud ..... I'll be home in 20 minutes..... Yeah, can you wake Hallie up..... Thanks, I'll see you soon."

"I need to get going," he remarked after putting his phone down.
I frowned, "Okay."
Jace lifted me up off of his lap and sat me back down on my bed. "You should try to go back to sleep. I'll bring you some water and Advil."
"Thank you," I smiled.
He quickly went downstairs and got me some water. He handed it to me and then grabbed my purse out of my closet and brought it to me.
I opened it and grabbed the container of pills. "thank you.... for everything," I smiled as I grabbed his face and pulled him down to kiss me.
Jace laughed, "Bye Lex, call me when you wake back up."
"Yes ma'am," I joked as he left.
I closed my eyes and drifted back to sleep.
...
I woke up again at noon.
I had a text from Tyler simply stating that he was '
I let out an annoyed groan as I proceeded to call Jace.
"Hey," I said when he finally picked up.
"Hey Lex, are you feeling better?" Jace asked from the other line.
"Yeah, I feel a little better. Do you need help with the kids? Is Hallie ready for her soccer game?" I asked, barraging him with questions.
Jace was chuckling, "Everything is fine, Hallie is getting ready for soccer and I'm going to take her to the game in an hour."
"I'll meet you guys there," I decided as I sat up in my bed. Dizzy, I immediately started seeing spots in my vision so I let out a groan.
"Are you ok...?" Jace asked confused.
"Yeah I'm ok, I'm just dizzy. I'm going to eat something and meet you there."
"Okay, babe I'll see you there."

"Bye Jace, I love you."
"I love you too," he added as I hung up the phone.
I got up and walked to the bathroom. There was still an hour till the game so I decided to take a quick shower. When I finished, I put on leggings and Jace's soccer sweatshirt that I stole the other day.
I grabbed my purse and walked out to my car. It was a 20-minute drive to the soccer game so I got there just on time.
After I sat down in the bleachers I looked around on the field and found Jace. When I finally spotted him, I noticed that he was sitting on the field tying Hallie's cleats for her.
Seeing that brought a smile to my face as I continued to watch him get Hallie ready for her game. He was such a good big brother, I still loved to see that side of him.
The game was about to start when once again, someone sat down next to me. "Hey again," Josh smiled at me.
"Hey Josh," I acknowledged, returning the smile.
"How have you been? Are you still with the scary coach?" He joked.
That made me laugh, "I've been pretty good, and yes... we are still together."
"Hmm," Josh nodded.
"Once you get to know Jace he's not as intimidating," I assured him.
"I'll have to take your word for it," Josh muttered as he pointed towards the field. Jace, who had his arms crossed, was looking in our direction with a scowl.
Not knowing what to do, I just awkwardly waved at him.
The corners of his mouth curled up, almost forming a smile. He waved back at me and then turned his focus to the game.
"Should I be scared?" Josh asked.
"What?" I questioned.
"I mean I'm pretty sure he hates me and he could easily kick my ass..."
"Jace doesn't hate you..." I stated.
"That's reassuring," Josh chuckled.
"He's just very.... protective I guess," I continued, "Once you break his shell he's a great guy, I promise."
...
The game was coming to an end, so Josh and I stood up and walked towards the field. We were standing by the fence when Hallie and Stacy came running towards us with Jace following close behind. "Lex! Lex! Can Stacy and I have a play date?" Hallie exclaimed with a huge grind.
Josh and I looked at each other with a smile, "Not today sweetie, but Josh and I can plan something for another time."
"Yeah, I'll text you later tonight and we can schedule something" Josh nodded.
He grabbed Stacy's hand, but before they walked away Josh looked at me "Bye Lex."
I just smiled at him and then turned to Hallie and Jace.
Jace's arms were crossed and he had his signature scowl playing across his face.
His moodiness only made me laugh. I walked over to him and pulled his arms off of his chest and embraced him in a huge hug.
I stood up on my toes so that I could reach his ear and whispered so Hallie wouldn't hear "Stop acting jealous when you know I love you."
He kissed my cheek "I'm sorry I can't help it," he whispered back gingerly "I'm crazy about you Lex, and I..."
Jace was interrupted by an annoyed Hallie, "I know you too love each other but can we go home already?"
I chuckled, "Of course sweetie." I picked her up and we started walking towards the cars.
