《The Runt & The Alpha》Chapter 4- Mine.

As I stared at the ceiling of my room my wolf wouldn't stop nagging me about going for a run. All through last night he wanted to and I denied him. Ever since the run in with Layla he's been restless which was just hours ago. I still haven't figured out why.
Was it because, she was a runt?
With a sigh, I got out of bed to get ready, after I went to my moms room knocking before entering, "Mom you awake?" I whispered, in case she may be sleeping.
I opened the door a bit, seeing she was before opening it wider and walking over to cover her properly. Then I laid a gentle kiss to her forehead before leaving, shutting the door behind me. Today felt different, weird different. As if I should be somewhere right now. I made my way to the pack house Brad approaching me.
"Hey man." he said, with that stupid grin on his face.
"Got anything for me?" I asked, while we stopped to talk.
"The rogues that attacked were apart of the Crest Moon pack." he replied.
"And where can I find this Crest Moon pack?" I questioned, already thinking about invading and taking over.
"Right through the forest and across the river bank." he informed me already knowing what I wanted to do.
"Got it make it known to every warrior an upcoming attack will be put on the Crest Moon pack and to report to the gym immediately I'll be choosing who goes." I spoke, getting straight to the point while he nodded with a quick 'yes alpha' before leaving towards the gym.
I really hope this pack is small I don't need to be getting my warriors killed. I'll have to think of a plan as I always do before an attack. As for now my wolf was begging for release so I headed towards the forest. Within a second I was shifting and he was running at a speed I've never felt him run before. My wolf almost seemed angry like he was letting off steam.

When he seemed to calm down I shifted back and grabbed some clothes at my house before heading to the pack gym. As I entered all heads snapped towards me some bowed while others straightened their posture. All my warriors were standing in straight rows awaiting orders. I also noticed my beta Brad wasn't here.
"As you know we had a rogue attack yesterday, they were from the Crest Moon pack which we will infiltrate and take over." I spoke loud and clear for everyone to hear, "Until I have a plan you will train starting now any questions?"
Once I seen nobody had any questions my wolf started to get agitated again. Pushing to be let out, I had to use all of my power to not give him control.
"Begin." I stated loudly, as I turned walking straight out of there.
I have no idea where I was going my wolf pushed through and he was in control now. Soon the pack house was in view when I entered the smell inside hit me hard. It was so unbelievably addicting, it smelt of strawberries and roses. And as I drew closer to the smell, I also smelled the runt which made me uneasy.
Once I entered the living room I seen Brad with his hands wrapped around Layla's throat. I couldn't quite understand what was happening. All I knew was he was breaking one of my very much golden rules. Which was something my mom taught me; never disrespect a girl.
My wolf growled.
Was he crazy, was this runt really my mate?
Although I couldn't even try to deny it her smell was heavenly. Then it hit me my wolf wasn't agitated by Layla because, she was a runt it was because, she was our mate.

He growled louder than I ever heard him before.
When I seen her struggle and my wolf urging me that did it, I grabbed Brad by the back of his neck and smashed his head into a glass table that was nearby. Watching as blood oozed out of his head, I knew he wasn't dead but, he could be so much worse right now.
he yelled, much more concerned than I've ever heard making me rush over to her lying form.
When I did her breathing looked as if she wasn't at all. My heart was racing but, everything stopped when she opened her eyes and looked up at me. In that moment I knew she was definitely mine.
I couldn't help but, say, "Mate."
Once she shut her eyes again I was on high alert. I scooped her body up in my arms the sparks I felt were undeniably there. Quickly as I could I made my way to the pack doctor. When I barged in the room his eyes widen when he seen me lay her on the bed.
"Help her NOW!" I yelled using my alpha tone.
My wolf was going crazy inside from his mate not breathing. The pack doctor moved quickly to her as he grabbed her wrist, I growled.
"Alpha please, I have to check her pulse." he spoke locking eyes with me, "I'm not going to hurt her I'm only here to help." he said, gently which weirdly calmed me he must already know she's my mate.
I nodded but, watched his every move carefully. After he checked her pulse his eyes widen which only made my wolf more upset. Before he grabbed a machine pulling it over to Layla. While also attaching her to a heart monitor.
"What is that? Can you help her?" I asked, feeling myself on the edge of killing someone.
"It's a defibrillator she's lost to much oxygen for anything else." he said, moving quickly rubbing the two objects together.
Before I could say anything he placed them on her chest and I heard a shocking sound, her body moving up with them. A growl escaped my lips not having any control over myself at this moment. I looked at the heart monitor to see only a single green line, she still wasn't breathing.
"If she dies I will kill you." My wolf pushed through and growled.
Once again he did it but, it was still a single line. Another, nothing, another, nothing. I shook my head as I felt the most painful thing in my chest.
Was this how it felt to lose your mate?
"HELP HER." I growled louder grabbing a chair and throwing it against the wall breaking it in the process.
This time he did it a small beep came from the machine and as he did it again it increased. Layla's alive, my Layla is alive I've never in my life felt more relieved than in this moment. Now that she was alive there will be hell to pay for anyone who touched her, no matter who it was.
They will wish they never approached her.
