《The Runt & The Alpha》Chapter 42- Forever.

A smile graced my face as I stared at Layla's perfect angel like face. No amount of words that defined beauty would ever measure up to what I see when I look at her.
She's the most perfect person I've ever seen.
Last night was absolutely the most thrilling, passionate and loving thing I've ever experienced. I felt her soul, I felt the pain she's experienced, I felt it all. And I wanted nothing more than to provide her all the comfort and protection in the world. She was absolutely perfect last night and I wouldn't have changed a thing about it.
I leaned down placing a kiss against her forehead, now that we've mated. Somewhere in me definitely felt a bit more protective. Well a lot more protective but, I know I had to control that part of me for her.
"Landon?" her voice sounded sleepy and her eyes opened slowly to meet mine.
"Good morning, how are you feeling?" I asked searching her eyes for any sign of the pain I seen last night.
It hurt me so badly to see her in pain like that, but, I'm glad I could help, "I'm okay." she whispered her cheeks flushing.
"Just okay?" I repeated with a chuckle that made her laugh as well.
"I feel better." she said, shyly.
A grin made it's way onto my face and her eyes went up to meet mine, "Thank you." she mumbled.
"You're thanking me, thank you." I lightly chuckled, skimming my hand up her bare thigh, "Last night was so fucking amazing, baby."
If possible her cheeks flushed even more and she hid her face in my chest, "Landon." she groaned in embarrassment.
"Mmm, no I think I like it better when you moaned it." I cheekily told her, making her look back up at me with her mouth falling open in shock.
"Landon!" she exclaimed loudly, with a small laugh escaping her.
"See, there it is." I reclaimed and she pushed at my chest with a smile.
"What's gotten into you." she rolled on her back and covered her face with her hands which made me smile.
"Technically it's the other way around and the answer would be me." I joked again with her, only to hear that laugh I love so much.
I chuckled once more before hovering over her placing my hands on either side of her head to cage her in. She removed her hands and cupped my face, which made me smile.
"I'm only joking, love." I whispered turning my face slightly to kiss the inside of her palm.
She nodded her head a small smile playing at her lips, "I know."

Then I leaned down placing a gentle kiss against her lips which caused me to want more. So I deepened the kiss a groan escaping me. My tongue pushing past her lips before pulling away.
"You are beautiful." I mumbled, looking deeply into those green eyes I've grown to love.
"So are you." she replied scanning my face which made me grin.
"You think I'm beautiful?" I questioned, her cheeks flushing.
"Yes, guys can be beautiful." she laughed a bit and I leaned down placing my lips on hers eagerly.
If so, she was definitely more beautiful.
"So, yesterday who's house was that?" I questioned while setting down a plate of breakfast in front of her.
I had been confused when I followed her scent to some random house. And I felt slightly guilty that I kinda, sorta, broke her door.
"Oh, uh, her names Genevieve." I raised my eyebrows in curiosity as I watched her start to eat when I sat down.
"How do you know her?" I questioned, already starting to eat my own plate.
"Well I was about sixteen and Donna and Sara were picking on me as usual and she was the only person to stick up for me." her voice was laced with sadness that I could feel and I reached over to hold her hand for comfort.
She grasped my hand, looking up to meet my eyes. I smiled softly and brought the back of her hand to my lips. Pressing a gentle and loving kiss to it which made her blush.
"I think I like her already." I said approvingly and I did.
I know the people in this pack didn't do right by Layla by not standing up for her. But, I'm glad someone did. As for the people in this pack that didn't I'm going to have to find some form of punishment for them all.
Layla's smile faltered, "Yeah, I like her too but.." she trailed off and I squeezed her hand to have her go on, "I just feel bad, the guys and the girls used her as an example to anyone who tried to stand up for me by tripping her or calling her names and stuff."
Her tone sounded defeated and I just felt the guilt oozing off of her. I even felt a bit of my blood boiling knowing Layla wasn't their only victim. It only proves how sick the guys are and how much the other people involved in the torment needs punishment.
"Hey, by the sound of it she only got a sliver of what happened to you and I'm sure she feels good that she stuck up for you no matter what happened." I explained softly.

She smiled a bit, "Genevieve said that too, that she only got a sliver of what I got and that she wasn't mad at me."
"Well, there you have it love, besides I bet she feels prideful knowing she stuck up for her luna without even knowing it." I winked at her watching her cheeks flushed as they always did with me.
We ate a bit more before Layla laughed and I gave her a questioning look, "You broke her door."
A grin spread onto my face, it was like I couldn't help it. Opening the door was the least of my problems. It was in my way of Layla so it was logical at the time to break it down. I just hadn't fully registered what I did until this morning.
"Yeah, I did, to get to you, I could smell you all the way across the pack grounds." I bit my lip, staring her in the eye.
Remembering how her scent invaded my nostrils and drove me crazy.
Layla was now blushing profusely and shaking her head, "Stop." she quietly mumbled.
"You smelled so good, Layla." My voice dropped octaves lower as I felt an urging growing need for her right now, "And tasted so good." I added remembering last night.
"Landon." she mumbled shyly, which only egged me on.
"You were extremely sexy last night." she bit her lip, our eyes meeting again, "How your whole body went up into goosebumps when I touched you, when your back arched after every thrust." her teeth slowly released her lip as I renamed everything I could remember last night.
"Your hands that eagerly pulled me into a kiss." her breathing slowed, "Or how your cheeks flushed just like their doing right now." I added smelling her arousal which made me growl.
Her eyes glazed over as I felt mine do the same and me being pushed to the back. I stood up knocking my chair over as Layla did the same. Or I'd say Mia did the same as I grabbed her face between my hands to crush my lips against hers. This kiss was fiery and needy. Like both of our wolves were longing to kiss again.
When they pulled away only then did I have any control. And I seen Layla blink her eyes before blushing. I only smiled and brought her to me for a more gentle kiss.
"I have an idea." I muttered.
Jake growled out in frustration.
I started to take my clothes off faster, starting to feel my bones ache and burn. They cracked all over aching with every bone that shifted until I was my all black wolf. My ears perked up at all the sounds, paws digging into the dirt. I can't believe it's been so long since I shifted.
"Landon! come find me." Layla's smooth voice filled my head and I instantly took off into the direction of her scent.
She had such a sweet one that was addicting. I thought it would be good idea to finally let our wolfs interact as we've never did. Being so caught up in everything. I dodged trees left and right running faster with the anticipation of seeing her.
"You didn't do a very good job at hiding your tracks." I replied, eyeing her paw prints that were smaller than mine, which I found incredibly cute.
"Oops." she giggled a bit, and I ran faster until I realized where they were leading.
I peered out onto the lake my father used to bring me to. My eyes catching sight of a wolf but, not any wolf. The actual love of my life and she was perfect. Her fur was this beautiful auburn color blending into white at the tail. As well as on her paws and the tips of her ears.
She was laid down in front of the lake watching the water, "Found you." I whispered through the mind link.
Her head looked behind her while I walked over to her. I about died right there from how entrancing her eyes were. They were the same green with the exception of the glow they gave off. I nuzzled my head against hers lovingly.
"Took you long enough." she playfully said with a laugh and I laid next to her.
"Yeah, yeah." I said, feeling my love for her growing by the second when she laid her head against my neck.
My paws laid over hers and I rested my head on top of hers, eyeing the sky change different colors. Blue mixing with purple and orange. While the water peacefully ran before us.
"This was where you told me you loved me." she murmured, "That was probably one of the best moments in my entire life."
In all honesty, it was one of mine as well, "Mine too."
"I didn't think anyone could love me until you came along." she whispered and it hurt me to know she actually thought that at one point.
"Well I'll always love you Layla, so you don't have to worry anymore, you're my forever." I stated.
And she was.
"You're mine too."
