《Those Darn Sexy Kidnappers》A Day At The beach!

"Ready girls?" Jake called. I felt around me and began walking a few, short, steps.
"Can I please take this blindfold off? I can't see anything!" I complained.
"That's the point," Luke chuckled and I faced what I thought was his direction and stuck my tongue out.
Jake spoke up again, "Besides, where we're going to is a surprise! Now get in my van."
"Do you realize how sketchy that sounds?" Kenzie replied from behind her own blindfold and Jake ignored her.
"Just Get in," He ordered. I felt around for a while, trying to locate the vehicle. Luke sighed impatiently and walked over and led me to the van, which in fact was in the opposite direction. I climbed in the back while he helped Kenzie and soon we were both settled.
"Donde esta Jason?" I asked, trying to sound unconcerned.
"Right here," His voice suddenly appeared and I jumped.
''Oh hey, didn't see you there."
I heard him snort and say, "Yeah no kidding." Probably gesturing at my blindfolded eyes
Someone closed the back and we sat in silence together. Soon, the engine started I felt the car move.
Light flooded in my senses and I jumped, Someone had opened the doors.
"We're here!" Katie sang as she reached out and helped me out of the car.
"Where's here?" Kenzie asked. I smelt a faint salty tinge in the air and if I strained my ears I could vaguely make out the sound of water.
"Water we doing near the ocean?" I inquired. Lol, oh puns.
"Is that where we are? I couldn't sea," Kenzie joined in. Someone chuckled and my blindfold was removed. Instantly, the sun blinded me and I covered my eyes with a hiss. When they adjusted I saw that I was correct, we were right in front of a beach.

"Hey cool, Beach day!" My face lit up and I skipped to the sand while the guys unloaded coolers. There was a big brown dock with a small boat that looked like a tiny yacht to my left but other than that, the beach was completely empty.
As I started heading to waves I noticed that everyone else was walking over the the docks, so I swerved left and joined them, heading for the boat.
We boarded the tiny yacht and it was actually really nice. The inside had a small kitchen and a round eating table and on the outside was a little deck.
"Dinner?" Jake appeared with a basket and cooler. We eagerly nodded and as Jason and Luke set out the food and wine, we hung strung lanterns all around the boat.
Soon, we were done and we walked back in for food. I sat in between Kenzie and Jake while Jason lit candles and Luke served.
Dinner was a gorgeous flank steak with asparagus and fried potatoes. I carved into my steak and chewed thoughtfully.
"Wow, this is fabulous! Who made this?" I asked in shock, cutting another piece.
"I did, glad you like it," Jason winked and my hear stuttered.
Why does he tease me like this?
"I'm impressed," Kenzie complimented with a full mouth and I began to sip my wine.
We continued to eat dinner in silence until it was time for dessert. The boys all stood and told us they'd be right back. And if that didn't worry me enough, Before they left, Jake winked and rubbed his hands together like a true villain.
"Uh oh," Katie narrowed her eyes. "This can't be good."
"I bet they are secretly part of the werewolf mafia," Kenzie accused.

"Maybe they are surprising us with money!" I grinned hopefully.
"None of those," Jason said, the boys all reappearing. They each had a white box in their hands and they lined up, side by side. Jason to the far left, then Luke, then Jake at the end.
Of course Jason was in the front.
He cleared his throat and looked me straight in the eye, "Cassie, I know we just met. And that I kidnapped you. And that I'm a werewolf. And thatyou really don't know me. But I want you to get to know me, and I want to get to know you more."
He paused to clear his throat before continuing.
''I want us to get more familiar and learn new things about each other every day and I want to be able to go to the movies and hold your hand when you get scared, and I want us to get matching shirts and go on dates and text each other a thousand times every day because we miss each other. I want you to be my anything and everything, and I promise, I won't Kidnap you even again."
He stopped again, and then opened the box. Inside was a sign that said, 'I cannoli hope you'll say yes' and sitting on the bottom was a fat chocolate cannoli. My favorite.
"Will you go out with me?" He asked hopefully. There was a long pause. I simply stared at him as he shifted uncomfortably and everyone looked me expectantly.
Then, what happened next I can't explain. Maybe it was the wine or I was super tired, but, for some unexplainable reason,
I said yes.

In the House of a Witch
While hiking during an extended weekend from grad school, the slightly airheaded Rose Snyder slips through a gap between worlds and encounters a witch.. With no way to return, she must adapt to the strange world of magic and danger, and find her place in a land where those who lose their grasp on reality fall. Shared Universe with my other story, https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/41575/the-archivists-petty-revenge Also posted on Scribblehub. Based on the description of traumatizing content, it's worth noting that this series normalizes tax evasion and other such crimes. Also is vaguely GirlsLove-ish.

Ten Thousand Sallys
Imagine waking up in a hospital room, you can barely move. No one comes when you call. The only other person present is a little boy, who is, surprisingly, more help than you would expect. What would you do? This is the exact situation Sally finds herself in. Almost immediately she discovers that nothing is what she thinks it is. Not the boy, not the hospital, maybe not even herself. She is in deep trouble and the consequences will be dire if she can’t find a way out. She is a fighter, though, and just doesn't quit. As a baseline human, she starts as the lowest of the low and has to claw her way up in spite of being tangled in a shifting web of schemes and plots. She has to do her best, and maybe her best is pretty good. As Sally uncovers more about her situation, she finds that she has to be smart and tough and that in this place she needs to depend on her friends, who are using her as much as she is using them. This book contains themes concerning life, death, and body functions, light swearing, minimal nakedness, and should be suitable for most. Some pertinent info: Ten Thousand Sallys is a complete novel of approximately 140 pages in 20 chapters. Around 80,000 words. not too long, and maybe too short. Give it a read and let me know your opinion.
