《Keiko Mochizuki | S. Kusuo》036 THE FINALE

╭───── (💓)
She was now a 22-year-old woman. Ever since she met Kusuke, she stayed in contact and became good friends with him. He would sometimes come up and visit and would usually talk about his inventions with her.
She did contact her friends from Japan in the beginning, even Kusuo. He messaged telling her about his brother and how he held a strong dislike to him. Unfortunately, the two never got to call and they ended up drifting apart. Apart of Keiko still loved Kusuo, but she realised that it would have never worked out between the two, especially with her living so far away.
The only people she kept in contact with were really Mikoto, Aren and Saiko but not often. She did miss her old friends and wondered what they were doing now since they left school. She couldn't imagine how many men wanted Teruhashi now that she was a young woman. She wondered if her other friends were living good lives.
As Keiko aged, so did her features. Her hazel eyes were still soft but they were more defined much like the rest of her face. She didn't grow much taller but her figure became curvier and more womanly, she started to feel more confident with her body. She was less chubby than she used to be and it made her feel a lot better about herself. Her long green hair was still long but she would usually have it in a ponytail, she had grown out of her hair clips and they were all stored away in her jewellery box. She still loved wearing summer dresses, especially when it was warm outside.
Keiko also had the lovely job as a florist, she was told it suited her greatly. She worked in London and had gained quite the reputation for decorating flowers for parties and weddings. She had moved to London at 19 as a student and was lucky to live in such a nice flat. What was also great was that she lived near Kusuke so they both saw each other more often.
Keiko did get a boyfriend at 20, his name was Edward and was a law student, he was romantic at first and would always shower Keiko with gifts, take her on dates and make her feel loved.
That was until he cheated on her about nine months ago with one of the girls in his class.
The breakup shattered Keiko's heart and Kusuke offered her to stay with him for a while, he would also soothe how 'that douche just wasn't the one for you. There will be someone else out there who loves you more than anything'.
His words helped her recover, making her realise that there was plenty of other fish in the sea.
Moving to the present, Keiko sat at her desk on her computer, finishing off a checklist of the flowers she needed to order for the next wedding she was designing, the couple wanted a theme of bold colours.
As she put in the final order, her phone rang next to her, she picked it up, not bothering to check the caller id, "Hello?"
"Keiko." Kusuke's voice spoke through, "Are you busy later?"
She looked up at the clock seeing the time was 2 pm, "No, I don't think so. Why?"

"Want to come over for dinner at 7? I wanted to get away from my work a bit." he replied.
"Uh sure. I should be finished with work by then. I don't need to dress up fancy, do I?"
She heard him chuckle at the other end, "Wear what you usually wear. But I do miss those hairclips you used to wear, why don't you start wearing them again?"
She sighed, "I thought I was getting a bit too old to wear them..."
"You're only twenty-two. Not sixty-two."
"Quiet you. I'll think about it if I can find something that matches."
————————————
Keiko had gone for her usual purple attire she would always wear since it was her favourite colour after all.
She was now looking in her jewellery box at searching for a pair of matching hairclips, mostly were just green or white ones. That was until she reached the bottom and her eye caught on a familiar pair of floral purple ones that matched a little too well with the outfit she picked.
She remembered Kusuo giving those hairclips to her all those years ago, and she hadn't worn them in ages. She huffed and clipped them into her clipped up hair which was in a long ponytail. She did her makeup, not forgetting her cherry red lipgloss and headed out the door.
Many might think she was overdressing for dinner but this was Keiko, she always dressed nicely for anything, it was just her style and she enjoyed feeling pretty, even for the smallest of things.
Kusuke's place was a twenty-minute walk from hers, anyway, who gets a taxi in London? Fifty minute walks always felt much shorter than they actually her, what's the harm in walking for a bit now.
Kusuke lived in one of those nicer houses in London, living near all the expensive shops. Although where Keiko lived was nice, Kusuke's area was just a little nicer. She got to his door and knocked on it, revealing his blonde head of hair but what was strange was that he was wearing a yellow antenna device on his head, she'd never seen him wear it before, maybe it was one of the new inventions he was testing.
"Nice crown." she pointed out.
"I'm glad you noticed. It's one of my favourite inventions." he winked.
"What does it do?" she asked as he let her into the house.
"Oh you know, just blocks out unnecessary noises."
She snorted, "You'll have to make me one so I don't have to hear your annoying voice."
"You wound me Keiko." he then noticed the clips in her hair, "I like your hair clips, they suit you."
She took off her shoes, "Thanks, they were the only ones that went with my outfit."
She then walked forwards and he trailed behind her until he paused, "Damn." he stated, "I just remembered I need to deliver this parcel to my parents." he rushed into his kitchen and ran back out with a sealed box, "Is it okay if a go deliver this?" he asked.
"Oh- Uh sure." she replied, 'Couldn't he just deliver it tomorrow?'
"You can uh- wait in the living room or something, I've basically nearly cooked everything."

"Um okay..."
He rushed out the door and slammed it shut making her jump slightly, "I wonder why he's acting so weird..." as she walked away, she didn't hear his front door open again, Kusuke peered through watching Keiko's retreating figure. He smirked and grabbed her shoes, closing the door again.
Keiko decided to just go to the living room and see if there was anything on TV. The house was quiet as she walked through, the only sound was the movement of his feet patting the wooded floorboards of the house. She opened the living room door and was definitely not expecting to see someone already in there.
A man was sitting on the sofa, his arms were crossed and his foot was tapping nervously on the floor, his head seemed to snap towards her when the door opened and her eyes seemed to widen.
It was not just any man who sat there.
It was a twenty-two-year-old Kusuo Saiki.
He hadn't changed a whole lot except that his face was more mature, his boyish features stood out strongly at her. He still wore those green glasses and the antennas on his pink hair which was slightly longer and messier than it used to be. He was wearing a cream trenchcoat and a white suit shirt with a pair of black trousers. Overall, he looked very handsome.
Her mouth gaped as she took a slow step back, she had not physically seen or spoken to him in six years, and here he was, under his brother's house. Is this why Kusuke invited her over and left so suddenly, so she could face this awkwardness alone?
"I-" she squeaked out, he stood up, she noticed that he had gotten a lot taller than he used to be. His once tense eyes had softened when they landed on her and he started to take slow steps towards her.
I- um... I have to go!" she turned around and sprinted away down the front door when she made it she looked around for her shoes only to realise they were not there. Did they just vanish?
"Keiko."
She quickly turned around to face him to see that it looked like he just walked his way to the door, he was still calm and collected and his voice was still monotoned, just deeper.
"What... What are you doing here?" she asked nervously.
"Kusuke invited me-"
"And you just willingly came? You said you hated him." she said.
"I know I did. I'm not here for him, I came to England for you."
"You came for me...?" she asked quietly.
"Of course. I wanted to see you again." his face then turned into an abnormal small smile.
He's glad he did, she had aged well over the last six years, she was still as beautiful as ever. She still wore her pretty outfits, her green locks were still long and had that familiar cherry red lipgloss on.
It seemed her shoulder became less tense and her manner became softer, "I guess it has been a while since we last spoke, it's um nice to see you again." she told him, feeling a little awkward. Looking at him made her fall in love with him again on the spot, she didn't realise how hard she fell for him, she only started to forget him when she was with Edward but a part of her always wished that it was actually Kusuo instead.
"Y-You look beautiful." he stuttered out, his cheeks turning slightly red as he avoided eye contact.
Her cheeks went flustered as she too looked away, "Thank you... You don't look too bad either." she fiddled her fingers together.
"I was surprised to find out you were friends with my brother."
"Oh, well, Kusuke is a good friend. Although you are both really different, a part of him reminds me of you."
"Don't say that again." he groaned which made her giggle, he looked at her sweet face which made him feel warm on the inside. He could read a million thoughts go through her head right now and he couldn't blame her, he basically just popped out of nowhere.
He really wanted to kiss her.
She looked up at him, and smiled, "How is everyone else back in Japan?" she asked. She watched as his brows furrow and roll his eyes playfully. She wondered what was going through his mind right now but just him made her feel butterflies through her stomach.
She really wanted to kiss him.
"They're good. I wouldn't say we were as close as we used to be but I sometimes still hang around with Kaidou, Nendou and Kuboyasu. Sometimes Aiura as well." he replied.
"That's good."
They both then went back into silence, they didn't realise how close they were now standing in front of each other. They both stared deeply and it looked as though they both wanted to say something but couldn't spit out the words that were until Kusuo suddenly asked, "Are you in a relationship with anyone?"
She gaped and shook her head, "Oh no, no... What about you, anyone catch your heart?"
"Nope, still single." he replied, she nodded and the awkward silence came back.
The two continued to stand there and do nothing until they both threw themselves onto each other, lips locking messily, tugging at hair and hands digging into clothes.
One of her hands moved onto his chest while her arm wrung around the back of his neck, pulling him closer while one of his hands laid on her waist while the other wrapped around her back, pulling her closer.
Keiko pulled away to catch her breath and saw that her lipgloss had smudged onto Saiki's lips, "I'm still in love with you." he told her.
She leaned up and placed gave him another long kiss before pulling away again, "I'm still in love with you too."
They both smiled at each other and yet again pulled in for another longingly and a much-needed kiss, his hands then grabbed his face and he kissed her on the nose and forehead, "I have something else to tell you." he said softly.
"What is it?"
"I'm a psychic."
"What?"
"And you also have the power of luck."
"HUH?!"
IT IS THE END OF KEIKO AND SAIKI'S STORY, of course, they had to get together again. 😩 I hope you all got a satisfying ending. Thank you to all my readers who continued to read until the very end, especially to the ones who voted and commented, I loved reading everyone's comments!
