Finally. It was over. The pack meeting was soooooo boring. I thought I was going to fall asleep. Dad basically did the intros again because some pack members weren't there. And even then some of the pack members weren't at that meeting.

Some had work, or school. And others were just out shopping. Dad basically gave them the run down of our lives. How our mom passed away, how I was attacked by a rogue, how we're back to claim our rightful places. And how dad is finally stepping down as Alpha so that Nate could take over so that he can have us join the pack too.

Tonight's the ceremony! I didn't know what James was talking about earlier at the house but I guess I do now. And all I know is that Braxton will be there. Rosie pipes up at the thought of our mate. As much as I care for Braxton I can't think about him right now.

All the boxes are now in our rooms. Nate has the top floor to himself, and Danny has the 2nd one to himself. Dad, Alex and I have the 3rd to ourselves. But Dad is moving out to his own house soon. So it'll just be Alex and I.

Everyone else has a room next to each other. This building is about 9 stories high and it's beautiful. I couldn't ask for a better room, but I do miss my other one. But this will do.

Now, time to get ready! I start going through my boxes to see what I could wear.

45 Minutes later....

Nothing. I have nothing to wear. The ceremony is in 20 minutes and I have nothing!

"Nate!!!!" I screamed and sure enough Nate, Alex and Danny came running into the room.

"What's wrong?!" They all yelled looking around.

"I have nothing to wear..." I banged my head against the wall, and sighed.

"You... You don't have nothing to wear? You screamed bloody murder because you have nothing to wear!?" Alex said throwing his hands in the air.

"Yes! Look you guys are almost ready! I don't have anything!"

"Girls. " Alex and Danny said at the same time while they left.

So it was just Nate and I. He sat down next to me and smiled.

"I will never understand girls. But if you need help I can get someone to help you." Nate said putting his arms around me.

"No. It's ok. I'll figure out something. Did you guys bring moms clothes too?" I asked just remembering we never threw out her stuff.

"Yea we did. I'll have someone bring it up to you ok? Hurry you have about 15 minutes before the ceremony."

Nate got up and left. I decided to take a quick 2 minute shower, tying my hair up so it doesn't get wet. I hopped out right when someone knocked on my door.

I went to open it and there stood a really attractive guy. He stood about 5'10, brown eyes, and shaggy hair.

"Hey, uhhhh Evangeline right? I'm Michael but people call me Mickey."

"Please, call me Eva. Uhh come in." I opened the door realizing I was still in a towel.

"No worries. You're beautiful and all but I'm uhhh gay. So I'm not peeping or anything." We laughed at that and he put the box on bed.

"Alpha Nathaniel said you would need this. I'm guessing it's clothes since you're not dressed." He said raising an eyebrow at me.

"Yeaaaa. These are my mothers dresses. I didn't have any so I was hoping she would have something I could wear." I said opening the box and pouring out the dresses.

"Oh ok. Well if you need anything else let me know. See you at the ceremony Eva." With that he left and I got to work.

After pulling out 7 dresses I finally found the one. It was a long wavy, white, laced dress that covered my shoulders but had a slit in the front. It was perfect. I threw that on, pulled my curly black hair down so that it was laying flat against my back. Added some mascara, and since my nails were painted maroon, I decided to add maroon lipstick. I put on my maroon high heels, and I was finally done.

Knock... Knock... Knock

The door opened and in came Nate. "Wow. You look beautiful Eva. Is that one of moms dresses?" I turned to see Nate wearing a black suit with a silk black tie. He looked good.

"Yea. Mickey the pack member brought it up. Do you like it?" I asked turning so I could look in the mirror. I was Pushing down the dress with my sweaty palms. God, I was nervous.

"I love it. You look just like her you know?" Nate said smiling at me.

"I wish she was here. Seeing her older son, Alpha of a pack. She'd be proud of you." I say turning around and adjusting his tie.

"Cmon. It's time." I nod and we head downstairs to meet the rest of my family.

Alex and Danny are both wearing the same tux but Alex has a Silk dark blue tie on, while Danny has a Silk light blue one on.

"Awwww you guys look cute!" Alex says in a girly voice. We laugh but then stop when my father enters the room. He nods at Alex, Danny, Nate and stops on me. He looks shocked at first but then clears his throat.

"Evangeline. You look very beautiful. Exactly like your mother." He says smiling at me. I smile back and thank him.

"Ready? We will enter through the back, and I will introduce Nate first. Hand him my tittle and he will accept you into his new pack. Clear?"

We nod our heads and follow him outside into the backyard. We can hear so many people it's ridiculous! I heard Alphas and Luna's from the neighboring packs are here with their families and 2nd in commands so it's even more crowded.

I peep through the curtains and scan the crowd for Braxton. Sure enough there he is. Talking to James and his friend. He has on a dark navy suit on and he looks just perfect.

My father steps on to the stage and everyone gives him his undivided attention.

"Thank you all for joining me on this Memorial Day. As some of you know, my children have returned. And tonight I'm passing down the Alpha tittle to my son, Nathaniel Everlast." The crowd goes wild and Nate steps out bowing his head at my father.

"Do you Nathaniel Everlast swear to protect, defend and honor the tittle of being an Alpha. To help support, and cherish this pack as you would your own family?"

"I swear it."

"Do you Nathaniel Everlast accept the role of being Alpha of the Crescent Moon Pack?" My father took out a knife and sliced his hand. Well, I did not see that coming.

"I accept." Nate takes the knife and cuts his palm as well.

"Then I, David Everlast officially pass down my Alpha tittle to you Nathaniel Everlast." And with that they both shook hands and Nate fell to his knees. I went to run on stage to help but Danny grabbed my arm and shook his head.

"It has to be done, Eva." I just stared as he groaned in pain. 2 minutes later he regained his balanced and I swear he got bigger, and the power radiating off him was fierce.

"I present your new Alpha. Nathaniel, Alpha of Crescent Moon Pack," we all cheered and Nate gave a speech about how honored he is.

The same thing happened when Steven, and Jeffery passed down their 2nd and third position to Danny and Alex.. Now it was my turn.

"Today I was honored to become Alpha of this notorious, amazing, and skillful pack that my father spoke so fondly of. Now, I'm even more honored to allow one more person from our family into this pack. My sister Evangeline Everlast." Cheers broke out and I smiled as I walked up those steps to the stage.

I passed my brothers giving them a nod, my father offered me a hand, which I took as he guided me towards Nate. Nate gave me a nod which I returned.

"Do you, Evangeline Everlast swear to be an honorable and loyal member of this pack? To protect and defend those in this pack as family?" Nate said cutting his other Palm.

"I swear it." I said getting the knife and cutting mine. I was nervous and it stung a little but I didn't let it show.

"Then I, Alpha Nathaniel of Crescent Moon Park accept you Evangeline Everlast as a new member of this pack." We shook hands and I swear it was like I was hit with a ton of books against my temple. I could hear thoughts, and I felt a connection to everyone in this pack..

Damn this hurts. I hissed and Nate caught me before I hit the ground. Gasped were heard and I heard a lot of people asking if I was ok in my head.

This must be the mind link everyone talks about. God, this really hurts. After about 3 minutes I was ok to stand on my own. I smiled at Nate and gave a nod to the crowd.

Cheers broke out again, and everyone wolf whistled as well.

"I want to thank everyone for allowing my family and I to be apart of this amazing pack. I know we haven't been here as long, but you guys are already a family to us and I couldn't ask for a better pack than you guys." I said knowing very well everyone heard me.

My eyes found Braxton but he looked away when another she wolf whispered something in his ear. My wolf didn't like the way she was touching our mate. A growl started to form inside me but I held it back by covering it with a cough.

Braxton knew what I was about to do as his eyes snapped towards mine but I looked away.

"Again, thank you all so much. Now, let's celebrate!!!!!!" I yelled and everyone laughed as we all went about our business. I saw the she wolf who was touching Braxton put a piece of paper in his hand, winked at him, and walked away. She sent me a sly grin, and kept walking. He put the paper in his pocket and looked up at me.

No emotions told me he was sorry for what he had done. He looked bored and uninterested. I shook my head at him and walked away. How could he? We aren't really anything, but to openly flirt in front of me is cruel.

"So he's your mate?" I turned to see Mickey looking at Braxton.

"No..... Yes? I don't know.." I said sighing and pouring myself some whine.

"How do you not know?" He asked pouring himself some.

"He's my mate, but he doesn't want to be. He kind of rejected me I guess." I sipped on my whine and looked at Mickey who was looking at Braxton.

"So you're the Mate of an Alpha, making you Luna of his pack and he rejected you... Kind of?" He asked after he sipped his whine.

"Basically." I said

"Douche." Mickey whispered which I laughed at.

"No offense."

"None taken." I said.

"What about you? No mate?" I asked turning to look at him.

"He's not out yet, so I'm waiting. We meet in secret but that's about it."

I see him starring at what looks to be at a group full of jocks. Wow. That's different.

"Not bad. At least he knows you exist." I look at Braxton to find him starring at Mickey.

"Uh oh. Alpha douchebag is starring got to go.." He starts to leave but I grab his hand.

"No. Wait. Stay? Please. I don't want to be alone right now. He won't hurt you. He's on my territory remember? If he does anything he's starting a war between the packs and not even he's that stupid." I hear a growl but ignore it.

"Well then, let's go dance princess." He winks and grabs my hand. Following his lead I start dancing.

Braxton gets his keys and nods at His friend and father. They go over to Nate and they say their goodbyes. Braxton looks at me again, which I ignore and leaves. Serves him right.

If he wants to play that game, then we can play that game. He may be good, but I'm better.
