I finally found a parking space at the mall. It's not big but it isn't a small mall either. So a lot of people came often here to relax and hangout.

I parked arrogant, and took my helmet off. I heard whistles from guys but I ignored them. They're such dogs. Pun intended. I took out my phone and started walking towards the mall.

I dialed Ariana's number to see where she was at.

"Hello?"

"Hey, where are you?"

"Next to hot dog on a stick hurry!"

"Yea yea yea I'm going."

I hung up and 5 minutes later I found her eating a pretzel. There she was, my blonde hair, blue eyed Best Friend but she smelled different. Like a wet dog.

Ariana froze when I came near her and I knew we were both thinking the same thing.

"You're a wolf!?" I whispered yelled. I can't believe it and she never told me.

"Shhhhhh. Eva please, let me explain!" She grabbed my arm and we sat a table in the corner of the mall.

"Look, yes. Ok? But you have to understand something." She kept looking around making sure no one was listening but her smell was bugging me..... Until...

"Oh god.... Y-your a rogue aren't you?"

Her head snapped towards my direction and her eyes got watery.

"Yes... BUT please Eva wait ok? Just listen it's not what you think.."

Her eyes pleaded me to listen but if anyone saw that I was associating with a rogue I'd get sent to the cells.

It didn't matter that my father was the last Alpha or that my brother was the current Alpha, it's a law. Rogues are not to be associated with.

"Ariana I could get in trouble talking to you right now... " I looked around the mall making sure no one from the pack was here.

"I know I know.. But just hear me out ok?.... Please"

A tear slipped out of her eye and I knew I couldn't just leave without hearing her out.

I nodded my head at her and she sighed.

"Yes, I am a rogue. But I never wanted this lifestyle. My father... My father was an Alpha, and my mother was a Luna. They were murdered in a attack at the pack house. He died protecting my mother and she died protecting me. I was only 7."

My heart went out to Ariana. She didn't deserve that. No child does but that still doesn't explain why she's a rogue.

"I was hiding in a secret hole in the wall when the rest of the pack found me. What was once 800 members was now 10. Houses were burnt down, bodies were everywhere, and the Alpha and Luna had fallen. Everyone thought it was best if we went to join another pack. Everyone either went to the neighboring pack house or joined a pack where their family was at. I was taken to my aunt and uncles house who lived in this small "pack" that turned out to be a rogue camp. Since then I've been living with them. They aren't to fawned of rules. They're bad people Eva but I'm not them. You need to know I'm a rogue but I'm not a rogue at the same time."

"But there are packs all around this town. The territories and boundaries of those packs are everywhere Ariana. How do you avoid them? Why didn't you change packs when you turned 18?"

"Our school is on neutral land. Most people have found out I'm a rogue but don't talk to me. They ignore me because there's nothing they can do. I go to school, go home, and that's it. And as of the 18 thing, I don't know Eva. Any rogue that's caught within a 50 yards of the border is to be killed or kept in prison. I can't risk it."

Thinking about her answer kind of made sense. Especially remembering Braxton's threat about killing all rogues. I just never knew she was like... Well, Me.

"Eva? Why is it now that I can smell you're a wolf? We've been friends for awhile now. "

I laughed at that knowing that's one hell of a story to tell.

"Long story short, my dad was an Alpha, and he didn't want anyone to kill us, like they did my mother. So he had a witch preform a spell masking our smells. But now that's changed since there's been a lot of rogue attacks on the nearby packs."

Her eyes grew wide with fear and amazement.

"A witch? That's forbidden Eva. Your dad can get in trouble... And what do you mean was an alpha.. He's not... Gone right?"

"I know. But he did watever he had to to protect us. Oh god, no! He's not dead, Nate's Alpha now. Since we came out of hiding Nate had to take control." I smiled at her relieved face.

"Oh thank god. I thought he died."

We laughed but then it go kinda quiet. I smelt someone from the pack house and I knew if I were to get caught I'm done for.

"We have to go. Someone from my pack is here. " her eyes grew wide and she shook her head fiercely.

"No. I can't. You need to leave Eva. If they catch you with me you're just as finished as I am. Go!"

She bent down and grabbed her stuff but I grabbed her arm.

"Join my pack. Nate... He'll understand if I ask him to. Please, Ariana. You can't be a rogue forever."

She looked around but nodded her head in the end.

"Ok. But if this goes south I'm haunting you when I'm dead." She grabbed her keys and started walking.

"I'll walk out first, and then I'll meet you at the corner of the street. I'll follow you and then we'll shift. It's not safe until we are in the woods."

With that she walked and I waited 5 minutes and walked after her. I saw this kid about my age at the mall, and when he saw me he just smiled and kept walking. Close one.

I got to my bike, threw on my helmet, and turned on my bike. I finally made it to the end of the street where Ariana's black mustang was waiting for me. I nodded my head at her and we started heading back to the pack house.

We were deep into the woods when I heard growling. I knew we were close to my territory because I saw Shawn. One of the guards. He was just standing and growling,

I stopped and so did Ariana. I got off my bike and took off my helmet.

"Stand down Shawn!" But he just growled even louder. I guess her scent was stronger than I imagined.

I walked to Ariana's car and she got out of the car.

"We need to shift Ariana. If this is how Shawn is imagine the others. If this turns to a fight then we need to be ready."

She nodded her head and we both shifted. Ariana was a yellow blonde wolf and she was beautiful. She saw my wolf and her eyes grew. I guess she knows I'm "special." I need to figure out what that even means.

We walked towards the territory but Shawn lunged at Ariana but I caught him by the scruff of his neck and threw him to the trees.

"I said to stand down!"

He tried again to lunge but I dove head first into his stomach and we both fell to the ground. Ariana barked and three more wolves came out and started barking.

"Nate! I need your help now! At the border!!"

Wolves started pouring out of no where and soon we were both surrounded.

"Everyone is to stand down!"

But they kept growling. These assholes are really starting to piss me off.

Two started to go after Ariana and three came after me. We were all on the territory by now and people were watching. But we didn't care.

Ariana was good fighting on her own until Danny came and started to fight with them.

"Danny no! Don't!"

Danny stopped and started growling at all the wolves. I guess he didn't see me and just saw Ariana. But she was in bad shape.

This other wolf came and started to fight Ariana one on one until Nate came and jumped in.

He took the wolf in his mouth and flung him across the yard.

Ariana laid on the floor bloody, and tired. She was breathing heavy and Nate stood above her... Protecting her, daring the others to touch her. The other wolves backed down and bowed.

I went towards my friend and started whimpering but Nate growled at me.

"That's my friend so don't growl at me!"

I growled back but my father came and was shouting about what was going on. He stopped when he saw how Nate was.

"Evangeline, step away from your brother and his mate."

I stopped growling and tilted my head towards my father. Mate?!

No way... Ariana was Nate's mate.

"He sees you as a threat and he will hurt you. Back away now."

Alex came out of the crowd and stood next to my father looking confused. So I jogged towards him and sat on my hind legs next to him. I was happy for Nate.

So of course my tail was waggling and my tongue was out flopping everywhere. Alex looked at me and laughed.

"Good doggy." He patted my head but I growled and pushed his hand away. Idiot.

"What did I miss? And what is that smell?" Alex said as he scrunched up his nose.

"That smell is my friend. Ariana. Who is also Nate's Mate!"

"You're kidding. She's a rogue Eva."'

"Shutup I know. But let her explain. "

Alex didn't say anything but my father was talking to Nate.

"Nathaniel, listen to me. Your mate is hurt. If you don't let us help her she will die. She's not healing right."

Nate got up from his mate making sure to keep his eyes on us and growled at Danny.

Danny ran inside and came out dressed with an extra pair of sweats and a shirt.

Nate shifted back which was not a pretty site by the way. I'm scarred forever. He took the shirt and looked down at his mate.

He got down next to her and started petting her fur looking happily at her.

"Eva what's her name?"

"Ariana."

"Ariana, I need you to change back ok? I'll cover you with this so no one with see you."

She whimpered and looked around. Nate looked confused and I had I snorted which sounded weird since I'm a wolf. So it sounded like I was coughing up a hair ball.

"Gross, dude. Just gross." Alex said taking a step to his right. Idiot.

"She wants everyone to turn around you idiots. " I sent to Nate who gave me a blank stare.

"Turn around, everyone. "

So we all did. She changed and Nate put the shirt on her and she started crying. I knew she was in pain. Blood was seeping through the shirt and Nate picked her up.

"Someone get the pack doctor to my room now!" Nate ran inside and I ran with him. We jogged up the stairs, Nate being careful not to irritate her cuts more than he needed to.

"Well I guess I don't have to haunt you now, huh Eva?" I barked and licked her hand. We reached the top of the stair case and I grabbed Nate's shirt to change into.

I went towards his bathroom and shifted. I had a scratch above my eye, and I busted lip. Give it a couple days it'll go away.

I walked into the room and Nate was watching Ariana as she tried to relax the best she could.

"You're a rogue." It wasn't a question more like a statement.

Ariana looked at him and nodded her head. The doctor walked in and Nate ordered him to fix her injuries and to check if she was fine. He didn't spare her a glance as he got up and started walking towards the door.

"Wait, Let me explain... Please."

But He didn't turn around nor answer her. But he did look at me.

"My office. Now." He went from a caring mate to a jerk in less than 5 seconds.

This should be good.
