We all found a table and relaxed. But I couldn't shake that something isn't right.

I guess the girls noticed my concerned look and started to get edgy.

"Hey Eva, you ok?"

I looked at Athena and shook my head.

"Something isn't right..."

The girls started to look around too and it just made them more anxious.

"Guys what's going on? We can feel your wolves."

It was Nate. I smiled at Ariana but once you've been marked you can really feel what your mate is feeling.

"I don't know Nate. Eva says somethings wrong."

Nate doesn't miss a heart beat when he says

"We're on our way."

"We need to leave.."

I was about to get up when someone screamed and a smoke bomb exploded inside the mall making us all fall a couple feet from each other.

I hit my head pretty hard, so my vision was foggy.

I could hear someone calling my name but the pain from my head was getting worse.

"

I listened to Rosie and focused on my vision clearing up, and my head from hurting. I didn't think it was working until I heard perfectly.

"Eva!? Eva look at me!! Cmon we need to leave!"

I looked up and Athena was right there helping me up while Destiny was helping Ariana up.

"Rogues!!!!!" Someone yelled and sure enough they came pouring in. One right after the other.

I jumped to my feet and shifted.

"Run. Now!"

They all shook their heads and shifted with me.

"We are NOT leaving you! You fight WE fight!"

Ariana growled at the rogues that started to come near us.

"Alright. Ariana you take the 3 on the left, Destiny and Athena the 6 on the right. I got the 4 in the middle."

We waited until they came at us first which didn't take long considering they pounced the second they had the chance.

They charged at us and the fight was on. Ariana was handling herself ok, and so were Destiny and Athena.

I ducked the first rogue, and collided with the second. We both fell to the floor but got up quick. A rogue attacked me from behind while one came running at me head on.

One of the benefits of being small is that I can get out of tough places easily. So I jerked my body forward so that the rogue behind me could let me go but that only meant I had to take the attack of rogue number 2 head on. And I did.

When I fell he took his opportunity to dig his claws into my shoulder and I howled in pain.

Rogue number 1 came up and bit my leg and I could feel my blood leaking from my body.

"Rosie I need you!"

I could see the other 2 rogues start to join into this little party so Rosie needed to think quick.

So I did. I saw Ariana was starting to lose her 3 on 1 well 2 on one considering one of them was dead on the floor. So I focused on her.

I felt a rush of air swirl around me and the next thing I know I'm right next to Ariana.

"What the...."

"Watch out!"

I pushed her out of the way as her rogue tried to jump on her back, I took my claws and shoved it into his shoulder.

He fell to the floor and I knew he wasn't going to live long enough to heal. My rogues saw me and charged after me. So I ran.

I jumped, dodged, and ran long enough for the guys to get here. I need to stall because I'm running out of energy, and quick.

I was hiding behind a trash can when I saw one of the rogues by itself. He searched through the crowd of wolves fighting. It wasn't just the girls and me but other people stayed and fought too. A lot from my pack.

I waited till his back was turned and I jumped on him. I bit down on the back of his neck until he cried in pain. I extended my claws and swiped at his back. He tried to buck me off but I was holding on tight.

I bit down harder and by now the taste of his blood overwhelmed my mouth. In some weird, sadistic way... I liked it.

He fell to the ground and cried out in pain but it was short lived when I broke his neck. He laid still beneath me and all I could do was stare at his lifeless body.

Pride and satisfaction is all I felt but then a rogue grabbed my fur and tossed me to the other side of the mall. Damn he's strong,

He growled at me as he lunged towards my throat but I moved the last second and he crashed into the glass window of a jewelry store.

I got up and growled. I didn't see where he went until I blur of brown jumped from behind the counter and landed on top of me. I looked around and all the girls were fighting just one of the rogues.

The fourth rogue from my party decided to join us when I felt him bite my tail.

I needed to throw him off. I heard Ariana cry out and when I looked a rogue was on top of her, biting her shoulder. I don't know what happened but it was like something snapped and I could feel myself become some wild animal.

Just as the boys came in I threw both of the rogues that were on top of me, turned around and attacked them. It was like I was outside of my body watching everything that happened.

I launched myself at one rogue and went straight for his throat. I took my claw and slashed it opened so that blood was coming out. I saw the other rogue try to make a run for it but I transported myself towards the exit and took him by surprise. I jumped on him so that he was on his back and I wrapped my mouth around his throat.

He shifted underneath me even when my mouth was around his throat. He didn't look older than 17.

"Please... Don't. I'm sorry! I'm sorry! He made us! He.."'

But he didn't finish because I broke his neck. If killing a 17 year old wasn't bad enough, I took my paws and pushed down until his head literally popped off of his shoulders.

By now the other rogues were watching, and so was my family. They stood there shocked.

I looked around and everyone was watching me now. I growled the loudest growl I could muster and it shook some of the tables. Rogues ran as fast as they could and left.

The guys finally snapped out of it and went to help their mates. Pac doctors were here, and so were some of the Warriors. Braxton being one of them.

He starred at me but he was starting to become a blur. I got off the rogue who pleaded for me not to kill him and sat on my hind legs.

My brokers gave their mates their shirts as they shifted back but they looked ok. Scratches here and there but nothing to severe.

"Rosie...."

"I know... I know.. I don't know what came over me. I thought it was you taking over.. Was.. Was it because I used magic?"

"Eva?"

I was so lost in thought I didn't see Ariana and Nate approach me.

When I went to get up they both took a step back. But Nate actually put Ariana behind him, as if he was protecting her.

"Your.. Your scared of me?"

"Nate move." Ariana pushed his arm away and came towards me.

"Ariana stop! She's not well."

"She is my friend Nate! Not some monster."'

She yelled over her shoulder but walked stow to me. My head was staring to hurt and my vision was getting worse.

She sat down next to me, slow, but still she was being careful.

"God Eva. You scared me." I whined a little because I knew I shouldn't have used my magic.

"No, not because of that rogue but I thought I lost you." I laid my head on her lap and she ran her hand down my back.

I didn't care about my wounds I could just say it's from this fight. I have nothing to hide now.

"Eva? You're bleeding, from everywhere. Are you ok? Cmon lets go to the pack Doctor he can check you out."

But I couldn't move. My eyes felt like they were being weighed down by weights.

"Eva?" I felt her shake my body but I just wanted to sleep.

"Eva!?" She put her ear to my body and she gasped,

"Help! Nate get the Pack Doctor! Her heart it's slowing down I can barely hear it!"'

Even though my vision was cloudy I saw Braxton run over towards me.

"Mate..." I whispered and I knew Ariana and everyone else heard me.

"Move. I'll take her to my pack. Your doctor has enough patients already." He picked me up and started to run towards the exit.

"You are not leaving with my sister!" Nate tried to take me out of Braxton's arms but my father stopped him.

"Let him be. Evangeline needs a pack Doctor and Braxton's pack is closer than ours. We have our own people to worry about."

Ouch. Own people? I whined and Braxton's hold on me tightened.

"I am leaving. You have no choice or say over what I do to MY mate."

He ran towards the exit and jumped into what I'm guessing was his car.

"To the pack house and step on it!" He kept looking down at me as I laid in his arms. I feel like a tiny puppy compared to him.

"You need to shift back Evangeline. Your wounds won't heal properly." I could tell him I can heal myself but I think thats going to literally kill me.

But I don't want him to see me naked either. I close my eyes and I hope he gets the hint.

"You are mate. My eyes are the only eyes that will ever see you exposed. You have nothing to be scared about."

But I still whine because although he's my mate he's never acted like it.

He takes off his shirt and I can't help but gawk at his stomach. He's like a goddess. His muscles form in perfect lines and shape. I could jump his bones right now...

He coughs and looks at me with... Lust?

"I can smell your arousal Evangeline."

If I was human I'd be as bright as a tomato. I try to think of anything from dead puppies, dead kittens, old ladies butts and I think I'm good. I look at Braxton and the lust is starting to disappear.

"You need to shift."

I finally agree but scream when I fully shifted.

That hurt worse then when I first shifted. I hissed and I could feel myself drifting off.

Braxton puts his shirt on my and I can't even thank him since I collapse into his arms.

"It hurts...." He catches me and cradles me inside his arms.

"You need to stay awake Evangeline! Dammit Simon step on it!" I could feel that we're close and I'm right. Braxton hops out the car and carries me bridal style to what I'm guessing is his room.

"Welcome back almighty.... Woah. Is that...."

"Not not Joshua! Get the pack Doctor and send him to my room now!"

I hear him run down the stairs and people are just starring. He growls for some reason but I don't know why. All I know is that if I die right now, I'll die happy in my mates arms.

He finally reaches the last floor and places me on his bed gently. I hiss and but he leaves the room. Great.

"Rosie?"

"I'm not dying right?"

I hear her laugh and I knew I was going to be ok.

"So had it not been for rider I would've stayed at the mall?"

I guess she's right but it still hurts to know that only his wolf wants and not him.

I tried to get up but when I do I almost fall. Still a little woozy I guess. I balance myself and head towards the door. If he doesn't want me then I don't want him. Right when I'm about to reach for the handle the door goes flying open, hitting me in the processes.

"Shit. Sorry. Here let me help you." I think it's that guy Joshua.

I push his hand away and care to my head.

"Oi! That hurt you idiot! "

He laughs and leans back against the wall. But Braxton comes in and he stands up straight.

"What the hell did you do!?" He goes to pick me up but I push his hand away to.

"Your idiot friend hit me with the door!" I picked myself up and looked at my hand. Great more blood.

"What business did you have to even be by the door?" He sounds mad but I'm even madder.

"I was trying to leave! You don't want me here and I don't want to be here either, so I'm doing us both a favor!"

I go to walk out the door but almost lose my balance.

"You are in no condition to walk any where. If your desire is to leave then I'll shall take you home.. When you are well. But you WILL stay here!"

"Eva... He's right. Your heart is starting to get stronger buy the more you move and not rest you're only killing yourself."

I look at Braxton but notice movement behind him and notice it's Joshua smiling.

"Fine! And what are you smiling for princess? You still owe me an apology."

He stopped smiling before Braxton turned around. Oh, he's good.

"I'm not smiling Luna.."'

"Her name is Evangeline. She is no Luna." He looked at me and left.

I could feel the tears start to form but I held them back.

I walked back to the bed and decide to relax and rest. The faster I do the faster I can heal myself.

"He means well. If that counts." Joshua said.

"It doesn't."' It's barely a whisper but he heard me.

He looked at me and then to a picture on his night stand.

"He's hard headed, and he has a lot of pride. I was smiling earlier because I can see why the moon goddess put you guys together. You balance each other out. Give it time, he'll come around." He went to leave but I stopped him.

"Eva."

He looked confused at first so I clarified.

"Only my father and Braxton call me Evangeline. But my friends call me Eva."

"Ohhhhhh so we're friends now? When can we have a sleep over and talk about cute guys?" He smiled and I laughed.

"And the names Josh. I'll be back to check on you later." Just as he was about to leave the pack Doctor came in.

"Shall we look over your wounds?"

I nodded my head and we got started.
