《Stranger To Kind ✔》EPI 36

With a ding, the elevator door sprang open, expanding my view of the main parking basement floor. My dark overlay swayed back and forth with each stride along the very few four and three wheel compressed air motors.
More of this pollution free machine recently stormed the automotive industry, and with it soon would put an end entirely to fuel energy based on land cars. The united world had agreed on the use of fossil fuels as for air transport only.
A soft grunt caught my attention, it fused together with the sound waves of wind bouncing off the closed wall. My eyes trailed towards the reserved section which were almost deserted. One of the motion sensor lights beamed on a spot where a figure was standing next to a vehicle.
I approached her and began with clearing my throat. "Hai, is everything okay?"
The second she lifted her eyes to look at me, I gave her a smile. Her agitated expression subsided slightly, yet the staid she possessed didn't waver. She sighed, adjusting her glasses before turning to her car once more.
"It won't start," she said sternly.
I put down my bag and moved forward a swift two steps towards her, instantly closing in our distance. She reversed clumsily, almost stumbling down after losing her balance on the 4 inch high heels she was wearing. I caught her arm to help her steady.
"Careful there," I said with a chuckle.
Her cheeks turned a shade red, but she hastily pulled back to make us distance. Her signature scowl stewed in before she mumbled, "Hands off me."
I raised my hands in surrender. "I was just trying to help," I let out my defence.
On account of it, her expression actually softened. I caught her lips slightly unlatch but no words came out, a sign of her hesitation.

I wasn't planning to give up easy, I wouldn't let myself back down to woo her at this given chance. "How about I send you home? I don't think you can find a ride at this late," I offered.
When I saw the hint of reluctance on her face, I let out a titter, and this move had never failed me before. "Come on, it's the least I could do for giving me another chance the other day," I told her.
Like a charm, she nodded lightly.
I appointed the one finger wait up signal to her. "Wait here for a sec."
Without wasting more time, I ran to my car, which was unfortunately parked at the far end of the floor. The dim lights lit up upon sensing my movement, leaving a trail of lustre behind me. A few times I looked back, making sure she was still there.
Once I stopped the car at the foot of her parking lot, I got off and opened the passenger seat door for her. For a second her eyes skimmed to the back seat, probably thinking she would sit there instead of next to me. Unfortunately for her, it was filled with boxes from my load of work. Her sigh dragged along as she got in and closed the door.
Unwavered by her contrary reciprocate, I continued to mask on a smile. The woman was rumoured to be a tough one to crack, and seeing was believing. Despite the fact it was true, backing down wasn't in my vocabulary. I chose a gentle melody to grace the music player before I started the drive.
After pulling out of HEROIN vicinity, I began, "So, do you need to go anywhere before I send you home?"
After a whole minute, there was no response from her. She was facing the window as if hypnotized by the twinkling light outside. I could feel my patience lacking by the passing time. Yet again, my usual reaction would be to smile.

Inwardly counting to three with a series of inhales and exhales, I faked a cough to attract her attention.
"Just send me home," she commanded lazily.
"How about we stop by this restaurant, you must be hungry," I suggested.
I was readying myself for her rejection since it was expected from her cold bearing. But to my surprise, she angled her head to me. For a moment, I was the centre of her sight, the delicate eyelashes adorning her deep brown eyes didn't move at all from the heavy gaze. I was confused.
"What do you want from me?" She asked.
I knew she was smart, but I didn't think she would be this quick to catch my intention. As a matter of fact, I did want something from her. But, was she really on to me or just testing the water?
"Okay. You got me," I replied with a sigh. I made sure it sounded a little sly for my amusement.
When I abruptly halted the car at the side of the road, her face turned pale. Yes, fear was reflected in her aging yet still beautiful eyes. She could be the same age as my mother, but youth seemed to be attached more to her from sitting under the roof and coddled inside a room with air conditioning. Unlike my mother, working on the field under the sun.
"What are you doing!" She screeched, her panicked hand pulling on the handle to escape.
No matter how hard she tried to open the door, it was of no use because I locked it after she entered my car. The only way she could leave was if I permitted her. But she was not my hostage tonight, she was a substantial piece for what I needed. I shifted slowly towards her, earning her stupefaction. As if paralysed, she sat there looking straight at me. Our gaze had locked her in a trance.
Then, one of my hands caressed the side of her face gently. She flinched, but didn't push me away, and that was enough of a sign to tell me that my plan was working.
"You know what I want? I want you. I like you Dr. Braile," I whispered to her.
Her lips parted, probably to say something related to disapproval. But I didn't let her. I moved in and crushed our mouth together. The unwanted warmth thawed her frozen heart instantly. I could feel her fingers touching the back of my neck, pulling me to deepen the kiss.
Just like that, she was under my grasp.
