Aveliene's pov

I can't believe that my own father is making me marry someone who don't know me and I don't know him. He was always strict with me but this is too much.

I looked at my mom who was giving me look of sympathy. So she already knows about this.

"But Dad how could I marry a guy without knowing him. I-I just don't want to be a part of this loveless marraige."

Tears were gathered in my eyes but I wasn't letting them fall.

"You don't have a say in this, and what I am doing is good for yourself and, for both the gangs also." He said the last part as whisper. He turned his gaze. As if he was hiding something from me.

"Dad how could you just make such a big decision without my concern. I am too young and I don't want to get marry so soon. Or are you hiding something from me?" I asked. And his eyes softened and now I know this is my dad.

"Listen Aveliene, you are my only daughter and what I am doing is the best for u also and for us also." He said. I know my dad always do what is best for us and so I nodded him to continue.

He sighed and spoke,"Aveliene we are the one of the most powerful underworld mafia gang and with power comes responsibilities and dangers."

He was speaking in a very serious tone.

"A couple of days ago I came to know that someone was leaking our confidential reports to our enemies which risked the lives of our entire gang. I founded that betrayer and killed him but I don't know if there is still risk or not.

In the meantime I met Mr. Daniel Rodriguez and he gave me this marraige proposal. At first I thought to deny it but I can't risk the lives of my people especially my family and so I agreed."His tone softened.

As soon as my dad finished I don't know how to reply him because in a single day, I have gone through so much that my mind was totally confused.

"But dad there should be some other way-

As soon I spoke but was cut-off by my dad

"I have given them my word and I am not backing away. In mafia world it is not acceptable to back away from a decision." He was now back to his stern and cold self. Just like a mafia leader.

I looked at him ,shocked ,not even though he casually made such big decision for my life. But also cares more about his mafia reputation then his own daughter 's feeling.

"But-but Dad what if his son doesn't wants to marry me."

Even though I haven't met him as a person but I have a heard a lot about him 'Vaughn Rodriguez'.

He was every girl's dream but my nightmare. Perfection runs through his blood. He was ranked 'no.1 in The most successful ,young and handsome eligible bachelors list' according to Forbes. He is also a multi-billionaire.

But he is a ruthless, arrogant and cold hearted person, I heard many things about him but mostly the ones that only makes me terrified of him. And the fact that he is the future gangleader makes it clear that he is not a person you can expect love.

He plays with the feelings of a person like he is playing with objects. Its fun for him.

I don't know how will I am going to survive this.

"Unlike you,he has agreed to his dad regarding the marriage. And I have already met him he is a very talented and handsome guy. And I am really impressed by his hard work and success at such young age."

My dad proudly speaks about him. And I felt slight jealous. But what he was speaking was true. How could someone be so perfect?

"We have organized an engagement ceremony at the upcoming weekend. And most important and highly reputated families and press will attend.And we will make the decision official infront of the world. And so I want you to accept it and behave decently." There was firmness in his voice.

His decisions were always the final.

I know I can't change his decision so I just nodded and went to my room. And sat on my bed and let the tears which were gathered in my eyes to fall. I cried my heart out.
