Aveliene's pov:

I went to them and stood next to my father.

"Look here comes my daughter, Aveliene". He spoke a little louder so the couple's attention went to me.

"Aveliene meet Mr. Daniel Rodriguez and his wife Liliana Rodriguez." They both smiled at me and I smiled back.

"Finally! we are meeting our future daughter- in-law. And I am very delightful about our choice, you are really beautiful, my dear." Mrs. Rodriguez spoke in a cheerful tone.

"Thanks for the compliment Mrs. Rodriguez". I replied while giving her a polite smile.

"No formalities child, afterall now we are all becoming a family. Call us Daniel and Liliana." This time it was Mr. Rodriguez who spoke in a pleasant tone. And I just nodded.

"I am not regretting the decision we made Richard, your daughter is truly a beautiful lady. I am sure my son will like her." Mr. Rodriguez told my dad.

"By the way where is that young gentleman?" My mom asked.

"He has gotten some important work so he will join us later, Erica." Mrs Rodriguez told my mom.

"We could understand he is a diligent man." My dad said.

My nervousness begun again. I am curious but still alittle nervous too, to meet him.

My mom felt my nervousness and gave my hand a little assuring squeeze that everything will be good. And I just nodded.

Suddenly!!

All the light got dimmed and everybody focused at the entrance. And there he came none other than,Vaughn Rodriguez in his all glory.

He was wearing a midnight blue tux with a white shirt inside. That was hugging his fair tone masculine body perfectly. I am sure he has abs. His messy chocolate brown hairs were styled neatly. How will it feel to run my fingers through it. Immediately I pushed that thought away.

He was surrounded by a mysterious and powerful aura. Which could easily grab anyone's attention. No wonder why everyone was staring at him more appropriately admiring. He was the best example of epitome of perfection.

Everybody was looking him some with fear and some with admiration. Especially the girls who were practically swooning and drooling over him. But he was not giving them any reaction I think he is used too of being a center of attraction and popularity.

I focused my attention back to his face. He had a chiseled jawline. And his facial features were making him more intriguing and handsome. But the thing which held me captivated was his fascinating sapphire blue eyes. Which were so intense that I can't keep my gaze away.

"Son come here!" Mr. Rodriguez spoke loudly. Which broke me from the transe .

He approached us ,and with every move, My heart started beating fast. I don't know why.

He came and stand next to his dad.

"Here comes my talented son, Vaughn."Mr. Rodriguez spoke with pride.

"Nice to meet you Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence". Vaughn spoke in his deep and calm voice. I felt a chill pass down my spine. His voice is hypnotizing yet intensed.

"Pardon for my tardiness. I was just stuck in an important work." He said politely.

"We could understand son and you can call us by our first names after all we are becoming a family." My dad repeated the same thing which Mr Rodriguez said. To which Vaughn nodded.

"By the way meet my lovely daughter, Aveliene." My dad said and all of them look at me especially him.

His oceanic orbs meet my emerald ones. And my heart beat increased.

There was some different emotion in his eyes but before I could read, it quickly dissappear. He took my hand and kissed at the back. Instantly a different sensation went through my body. Maybe he was truly a gentleman or it was just a facade to hide the real dangerous murderer behind this handsome face.

"Nice to meet you," He spoke soothingly and hearing those word from his mouth gave me some sort of pleasure.

"Nice to meet you too,Vaughn ." I spoke trying to hide my fear and excitement.

We both were looking at each other until a voice broke our trance.

"Hey, Vaughn come here man!" It was a handsome guy with blonde hairs standing with some other guys near the starters. Who were all waving at Vaughn.

They were all good looking but not more than Vaughn.

Why I am even comparing him. Stupid conscience.

He looked into their direction and back to his parents.

"I will take your leave. My friends are calling". He said politely.

"Of course son go and enjoy."Mr Rodriguez said to which, he nodded and with that went to his friends. I could see all the girls were still ogling him. I grab my attention back to my parents who were now conversing.

My mom was gossiping with Mrs Rodriguez and my dad was talking about business with Mr Rodriguez.

I was feeling bored so I decided to grab a drink.

"Mom, I will also take your leave." I said to my mom.

"Sure go honey have fun, we will see you later." I nodded and went towards the drinks counter.
