As I was heading towards the drinks counter, I saw Cassie sitting there with my other two friends Stacey and Emma.

We are all friends together since school.

I went to them and they both got up and hugged me. Emma was wearing a red backless dress which was suiting her ivory hair.

While Stacey was wearing a knee length stylish green dress with her slight curly brown hair. She really loves dresses. Her entire wardrobe is full of them. You can call her the fashion queen of our group.

While Emma is a little reserved and she is friendly to those with whom she felt comfortable. And we are among them.

While Cassie has always been interested in boys and crushes. And I being I,was always busy in doing hard work and being the perfect daughter to put up with my parents expectations or more appropriately great expectations.

But still we all are best friends.

It's really a big deal of being a daughter of a most successful billionaire and also now onwards a mafia leader.

"Hey girl!! we are so happy to see you. You are really looking so beautiful. Nice outfit." Stacey says excitingly while touching my dress's fabric. I just smiled back.

"Thanks for inviting us Ave", this time it was Emma who spoke.

"How could I not invite my besties ,afterall I had got extremely bored while meeting my father's business companions." I replied them while remembering how stressful it was.

"Now girl as we are here, we all are going to rock this party" both Stacey and Cassie said in unison or practically yell. To which we got some irritated stares from other guests.

Cassie and Stacey both started laughing and chatting about the boys and dresses.

Emma was shooking her head while smiling and I was laughing at their overexcitement.

"By the way you all noticed how handsome Vaughn Rodriguez was looking he is truly a Greek God." Cassie spoke with dreamy eyes and both Stacey and Emma agreed with her. I don't know why even my friends are so obsessed with him.It is not like , that he is not good-looking but we can't still leave the fact that he is also an arrogant playboy.

"Dont forget that you all have your boyfriends who are also present in this party" I said to them.

"But we were just telling the truth" Cassie spoke.

"By the way where is Aaron?" I asked Cassie, while changing the topic .

"Tell where you left that poor boy alone huh?" Stacey added while teasing her.

"You guys are too much, anyways he met a friend of his and they both started chatting so I came here for a drink." To which we all nodded.

"By the way what is the reason for this party Ave?" Stacey asked.

"Yes, you haven't told us Ave?" Emma asked curiously.

While Cassie was secretly laughing and giving me ' I know the reason' look. To which I signaled her to shut up.

"It's a surprise but sooner you all will come to know." I assured them.

"By the way where are your dates ? " I asked Emma and Stacey.

"Oh I came here with Liam he has some important calls to attend so I came to you guys." Emma said while I nodded in response.

Liam and Emma have been together since two years. She is really close to him apart from us .And Liam is a nice guy, he really likes her and cares for her.

"What about you Stacey?" I asked.

"I still haven't found the right one Ave. And you know after my break up with Jason I can't easily trust any other guy." She said while trying to stop the tears from falling. I hugged her and stroke her back to calm her down.

A year has passed since their break up. They were really closed and Stacey really liked him. We all were happy for her. Everything was going right until one night when Stacey found him kissing another girl. She was really heart broken.

Jason tried to explain her that it was a mistake but she refused.

After that she came to my house and told me everything as she trusts me the most. I comforted her. I asked her who the girl was. But hearing her answer my anger increased. The girl was none other than one of Veronica 's friend or more correctly follower.

I decided to talk to Jason and give him a taste of his own medicine to make my best friend cry but Stacey stopped me and said that she never wants to see him again. After that she lost trust in guys.

Sometimes,when I see her ,I got scared by thinking if something like that happened to me or if no one loved me. But I quickly pushed those negative thoughts aside. As my mom said that not every guy is same.

"Don't worry 'Stay', everything will be fine and I am sure you will get a guy much better than Jason who will truly deserve you and care for you, may be you will find him in this party." I said while using her nick name and wiping her tears. She smiled at me and nodded.

"Oh guys, you all are too emotional, look you made me cry. Do you know! I spend an hour on my make up." She spoke while wiping her tears to which I rolled my eyes.

"That's our girl" Cassie and Emma spoke. And we all started laughing to make the atmosphere less intense. But suddenly their laughter fade off. I looked at them to know the reason. And saw them all looking with wide eyes behind me.

I turned to see the reason and my mood quickly got upset and alittle shocked too to see the last person who I want to see now, approaching me with a wide evil smirk on her face none ther than 'Veronica and her friends'.
