Aveliene's pov

After Veronica left, I took leave from my friends and went back to my parents.

"Honey it's time for the announcement. Don't be nervous and trust me everything will be fine" my mother whispered in my ear and I nodded. Then we both went towards the stage where my dad and Vaughn's parents were already present.

But I couldn't found him where is he?

My question was answered when I saw him approaching his parents.

"Ladies and gentleman, I am glad that you all came to attend this party. I know you all are curious to know the reason behind it." My dad spoke on the Mike. While everyone listen attentively.

"So the reason behind this is that me, Richard Lawrence and Mr. Daniel Rodriguez has decided to merge together" He paused and looked at the guests who were looking confused and curious.

"We both have decided that my daughter, Aveliene Lawrence will marry his son, Vaughn Rodriguez. And today we are here to perform their engagement ceremony. "As soon as my dad finished loud applause covered the hall.

I saw my friends clapping and winking at me.

I turned my gaze and looked at Veronica who was looking with wide eyes still in shock. But as her gaze met mine she glared at me. I quickly averted my gaze back to dad. Who was looking very happy. And seeing him happy my nervousness faded.

I saw my mom and Vaughn's parent who were also smiling but as my gaze turned to him. I saw there was no emotion on his face. Some how which intriguied me.

My dad and Mr. Rodriguez called me and Vaughn.

I went to them and the ceremony began. Vaughn stood infront of me looking straight with intensity into my eyes but still expressionless. He took my hand gently and slid the ring into my ring finger. His slight touch send a different sensation throughout my body. It was a really beautiful diamond ring.

I than took the the other ring and slid it into his finger. Instantly huge clapping and cheering surounded the hall. Everybody was congratulating us.

Everybody was looking happy except the girls who were throwing glares at my way. But I ignored them.

Mr. Rodriguez then came towards the mike and spoke" I am really happy that you all came to attend this party." He then lift the glass of drink and spoke again"You may all now continue the party and enjoy". Everybody then went back to their chatting.

I saw Vaughn going back to his friends. While my parents and his parents were busy chatting with the guests.

I decided to go back to my friends they were all sitting so I took a seat between Cassie and Stacey.

Immediately ,Cassie hugged me and congratulated me and I replied her with a thanks.

One by one everybody else wished me.

Emma was sitting beside Liam, I finally saw him he was a wearing a tux and his hairs were neatly combed,

"Hi Ave, long time no see. And suddenly you are marrying but still I am happy for you. Congrats" Liam spoke while grinning.

"Thanks Liam" I replied with a smile.

While Aaron was sitting beside Cassie.

"I still can't believe by bestie is going to marry the hottest eligible bachelor." Cassie spoke with dreamy eyes.

"Hey, do am I not hot?" Aaron spoke while frowning.

"You are more hotter, baby" Cassie said while kissing his cheeks. While we all laugh.

"Hey girl I am really happy for you!" Emma spoke while smiling.

"Yes you are going to marry the one and only Vaughn Rodriguez, I am sure Veronica will be damn jealous. " Stacey said excitedly. While everybody laughed and agreed.

"Why are you all laughing ?" Suddenly someone spoke in an annoyed tone behind me and everyone looked at the person.

It was none other than Veronica who was looking furious. She gestured me to follow her. Cassie stopped me but I assured her and went with Veronica. We stood in a corner.

"What do you want Veronica?". I asked her in an irritated tone.

"What do I want? You are marrying the most handsome eligible bachelor, Vaughn Rodriguez!!" She spoke loudly.

"If you want to yell at me then I am going " I was about to go but she stood infront of me, blocking my way.

"How do you do it? Tell me how you get every best thing so easily? Why every hot guy choose you?" She said with rage and jealousy.

"I am not in a mood to listen to your tantrums. And by the way it was my dad's and Mr Rodriguez's wish for this marriage to happen. And I am just fulfilling it." I said angrily. As if she know how much I was against this marrige.

I then went pass her but instantly she grip my wrist.

"Don't think that I lost Vaughn because I will get what ever I want either by hook or by crook. Stay away from him. Also wait and watch how I will take him away from you. Because he is mine" She left my wrist and walk away.

My wrist was paining and a bruise form on it but I ignored it and went back to my friends before they get worried.
