《His Angels》chapter twenty-nine

For the next couple of days, Sam and Crawford have been watching over the tracker.
The only thing Jeffrey has done was walk to his car and then back inside the house like sir don't you have other places to be?
"Dada," Journey says waddling over to me with a toy.
"Dada will be here soon okay?" I picked her up.
Ever since she's been here she won't let me touch any of the triplets unless she was down for a nap.
If she was awake she would follow me everywhere.
Since I was already ahead in most of my classes my parents had no problem with me staying.
Dylan and Kian stayed with me since aunt Kyla gave them permission but only because they were also saving lives. Well, hopefully, we are.
"Dada." Journey whines again.
"You miss him?" I asked and he lays her head on my shoulder. "I miss him too." I rocked her.
"He's leaving!" Sam announces and we all jump. "He's going around the corner right now. Wow, he's passing the speed limit."
We all chuckled.
"Okay I think it's safe for us to move in."
I gave Journey to Levi and they all got in the van. Dylan and I drove after them just in case.
Sam had police vans and officers close to Jax's house, ready to move in when he called.
I got out first and knocked on the door with Crawford following behind me. We were pretending to act like friendly neighbors, just in case, someone was in there.
Ms. Moore opens the door and my heart instantly cracks. She was covered in bruises and cuts.
"Brynnley." She mumbled and hugs me. I hugged her back. "You need to go. You need to go now. He's gonna come back in 2 minutes. He knows about the tracker." She warns.

Crawford pulls my arm but it was too late.
"You think you could fool me?" A deep voice says. All the officers raised their guns at him.
I could see the resemblance between Jax and Jeffrey. His jaw, his nose, and his eyes were all like Jeffery's.
Crawford stood in front of me protectively. I pulled Ms. Moore behind me.
"Where's Jax?" I asked.
"He's unconscious upstairs." She cries.
I slowly put her in front of me.
Dylan was standing behind another officer. I looked over at him. "He's upstairs." He nods and we both slide our way into the house. Jeffrey's back was turned towards us thankfully.
The officers were all yelling at Jeffrey but Jeffrey kept blabbering about some bullshit.
I go into his room to see him on the ground.
"Jax! Dammit, you good?" Dylan shakes Jax.
"I'll be back." I ran downstairs alone and grabbed a knife just in case.
I ran back up and saw that Jeffrey was heading inside the house and there was a lot of smoke coming from outside.
That bitch had a damn smoke bomb. I ran quickly upstairs and into Jax's room closing the door behind me. The lock was broken so there was no way I could lock it.
"He's coming," I said putting the little knife to the side.
"Go hide in the closet." Jax points to his closet. Dylan tries to pick him up but Jax stops him. "Without me."
Jax whispers something in Dylan's ear and he nods. Dylan pulls me into the closet and closes it leaving a little space for the both of us to peek through.
"Hey son," Jeffrey smirks at Jax. He grabs him and throws his against the wall. "Your mom may be safe but you aren't." He throws a punch at Jax's stomach and he groans.

Next thing you know I'm whimpering, tears streaming down my face while he was still throwing punches at my boyfriend who is unconscious on the ground.
"Who do we have here?" Jeffrey smirks at me when his eye catches a glimpse of me through the broken closet door. My heart starts racing. Dylan comes out standing in front of me.
"Wow, Jax are these your friends? I didn't think you had any."
"Leave them alone." Jax coughs.
"I don't want the boy, I want the girl." He pushes Dylan to the side. Dylan tries to throw a punch at Jeffrey but he catches it and punches Dylan in the nose causing me to flinch. Dylan makes his way towards Jax instead who was bleeding.
Jeffrey comes closer and puts his hand on my cheek caressing it.
"You would make a lot of money." He whispers in my ears. He smelt like a mixture of weed and alcohol which was a very unpleasant scent.
A flash of lust runs in his eyes and then anger. He grabs my neck and held me against the wall.
"Don't hurt her!" Dylan yells.
"I do what I want!" Jeffrey aims his gun at Dylan but before he could pull the trigger a loud bang is heard and his body jerks. I push him away from me and then three more pops are heard before his body is laying on the floor.
A tear runs down my cheek as I look at the body laying in front of me. Crawford goes to Jeff's body checking his pulse.
"Baby." Jax whispers and I looked at him. Dylan helps him up.
"Brynn!" I hear Sam's voice. He runs into the run and looks at Jeffrey and Crawford before looking at me.
"He's dead," Crawford says through his radio for everyone else to know.
He walks over the body and engulfs me in a hug.
"You're good, and they're gonna be fine." He runs his hands through my hair.
He picks me up and hands me over to Jax. Jax holds me in his free arm.
"Are you okay?" I cried looking up at him.
"I'm okay, thank you." He kissed my forehead.
It was okay now.
