"What do you mean it's over?"
The plate dropped out of Bear's hands and shattered into pieces once it met the tiled floor of the apartment that Bear shared with his boyfriend.
Or ex-boyfriend as of a second ago.
Mason ran his hand over his face and sighed.
"Bear you're special and these past few months-"
"1 year 3 months." Bear corrected as he clenched his fists in anger.
Mason sighed once more. He could see that his words had broken bear and he knew how sensitive his ex was.
Bear might have been built like a literal bear but the man was as soft as a kitten.
"You're amazing and I'm so lucky to have been able to experience being with you. But it's not working. You know I'm an alpha and-"
"Your ego. You're fucking ego couldn't handle being slightly smaller than me. For fucks sake Mason! Are you going to let the small difference in height and built tear us apart?"
By now Bear had tears of anger streaming down his face. He looked so upset and all Mason wanted to do was take the man in his arms. But he couldn't,holding him would only make it worse.
"I get annoyed whenever someone assumes that I'm the bottom. That I've let down my alpha bloodline by bending over for you. That I'm the one who needs protecting!-"
"Get out. Get out you spineless coward. That's all you can think about? Appearances matter that much to you? When we both know that I'm the bottom, I'm the submissive one. Why does it matter what others think Mason?"
"Because it just does!"
Bear stumbled back. His shoulders hunched and he looked scared.
Mason had never raised his voice at him. He had never used his alpha voice on the submissive.

"Shit! Bear I'm sorry I-"
"You have 30 minutes. And then I want you out. I don't ever want to see you again Mason." Whispered the submissive with a tone so cold and detached it shocked Mason to the core.
"Bear-"
"You lied to me. You made me believe we had something, that you were different. But once again you have shown that all alphas are the same. I hope you have a good life with your future tiny built submissive."
Bear turned around and walked to the kitchen where he proceeded to dish himself the dinner he had cooked and took a bottle of red wine out of the kitchen cabinet.
Bear was not a drinker but for once Bear did not care. Bear was upset and Bear needed a reliever.
So the submissive walked to the bedroom and sat on the bed enjoying his meal while watching his ex pack his bags.
"Oh and leave my keys on the dressing table."
The omega said before taking a swig of his wine straight from the bottle.
Mason took out his keys from his pocket, placed it down and sighed for what felt like the hundredth time that day.
What had he done?
