I was pacing outside the pack's hospital confused out of my mind.

I don't know how to feel 'cause I wasn't expecting this to happen.

I found my mate.

I found my mate and she's dying. She's fucking dying.

I don't know how to feel. At this moment I'm feeling many things. Angry, confused,frustrated, anxious and many more.

I rub my face with my hand and winced as the rings on my fingers scratched my face.

I moved closer to the operating room and tried to peep through the foggy glass and see what's going on. Apparently I'm not allowed in there for a reason I can't seem to remember.

I couldn't see anything through the little glass on the door so I went back to my pacing.

I was pacing when I remembered that guy. The guy that came with her. I don't even know my mate's name or his. I don't know who he is to her. A brother perhaps. Or a friend. Or is he her boy....boyfriend.

I shook my head to get rid of the thought. I can't jump into conclusions like that.

Just from looking at him I can tell that he is an Alpha but I just can't tell why an Alpha went rogue.

The guy stood beside the OR and I can see the worry on his face. I remember when we tried asking him questions earlier and he didn't respond. I can't figure out why.

~Earlier~

"

I ignored the gasp that Andrew and Jon made and rushed to my mate. I stared at her fur that is covered in dirt,blood and mud. I started panicking when she started closing her eyes.

Her beautiful sea blue eyes that I could stare at forever.

I tapped her body that is not injured lightly in order to keep her from losing consciousness.

"Angel, don't close your eyes love. Open your eyes. You can't fall asleep".

I continued tapping her body lightly. Then she stared into my eyes and went limp in my arms.

I looked at her bloodied body and got angry.

"What the hell is going on here? What the fuck happened to my mate?".

This was not how I visualized meeting my mate. I thought it would be something romantic and not something so.......... Painful.

" Alpha we don't know. We met her like this. We ordered them to shift but only the male could and he has not been answering us".

That was when I noticed the guy standing there. He was huge, almost like me but I was bigger. I looked at him but his eyes were on my mate and he was looking at her worriedly.

" Who are you?. What happened to my mate?".

He just pointed at his mouth and shook his head.

Why is he not answering me?

Did he hurt her?

I looked at my mate and the wound on her body was much and they were bleeding badly.

I will question the guy after my mate is safe.

I stood up with my mate's bleeding body in my arms and mindlinked the Pack's doctor.

" Daniel my mate is injured and she's bleeding all over. Get ready I'm coming with her!".

"Y-yes Alpha!" I could hear the surprise in his voice but he was smart not to ask me any questions about finding my mate.

I carried my mate and started running towards the pack's hospital. I rushed past many pack members and they were sure to get out of my way. They were shocked to see their Alpha carrying a wolf. And the wolf turned out to be a female. Something that has never happened before .

Daniel was already waiting for me outside the OR and ushered me inside. I placed her on the bed ,stood beside her and took her paw in my hand.

I didn't notice that I was shedding tears till a tear dropped on her fur. I haven't cried since my mother's death Five years ago.

I quickly wiped my tears with the back of my hands. This is not the time for me to be weak. She'd want me to be strong for her.

I didn't notice Daniel and the other nurses moving round the room. I was focused on her that I didn't notice them.

"Alpha we can't treat her with you here so please can you leave for a moment".

I looked at Daniel like he had grown two heads or something. How can he tell me to leave my mate that is dying. I wanted to give him a piece of my mind when he continued.

" I know you are upset but you need to let us do our job and treat her or you might loose her". The thought of loosing her forced me to my feet and led me to the doors. I can't loose her. I just found her.

I was leaving when I heard Daniel telling one of the nurses to inject her so that she would change to her human form. At that moment I wanted to stay and see what she would look like. I already know that she'd be beautiful but I just wanted a glimpse.

I didn't know I was still there till Daniel shouted at me to leave.

"If she fucking shifts look away and let the nurse dress her up". I ordered with a glare to get my point across and he knew not to disobey my orders.

~End of flashback~

I moved closer to the guy and stood there. From the worry on his face I know he cares for my mate but as what.

As a friend , a brother or a boyfriend?

I'm still trying to figure it out.

He looked up at me and pointed at his mouth and shook his head.

Oh!!

He's mute.

" You are mute?". I ask just to be sure.

He nodded his head and made a sign with his hand. He wanted me to give him a pen and book.

I looked around and saw a nurse with a clipboard and a pen. I collected it from her and gave it to him.

"Who are you?".

" Who are you to my mate?".

What did he mean by kind of. I decided to leave that question for later and continue with the important ones.

"What's her name?".

Kenzie huh!!

I just need to see the face that has the beautiful name.

" What happened to her?".

I was about to ask more question when Daniel came out. We both rushed to him anxiously.

"What's wrong with her? Is she okay?".

I asked immediately.

" Umm.... She slipped into a temporary coma, Sir and we've transfered her to the ICU. She broke three of her ribs and she tore one of the hamstrings muscle at the back of her thigh and she lost too much blood. We also found many old injury scars on her body like whip marks..........". He said while trailing off.

What did he mean by whip marks.

"What do you mean?". I asked him. I turned to Caleb and looked at him with an alarmed expression.

He looked at me and started writing on the clipboard I gave to him. Not to be rude but if I go a second more without receiving answers, I'll flip. Luckily Caleb turned the clipboard in time and what I saw made my blood run cold.

I stared at the words on the clipboard for a very long time trying to decipher the words that I didn't feel my body shaking. I was completely oozing anger.

" What pack is that?". I ask in an eerily calm voice.

Daniel looked at me warily while Caleb wore an impassive look.

"Um..... Alpha I think you need to calm down a little bit. I don't mean that you shouldn't retaliate but not right now". I turned to him slowly with rage on my face. He saw the look on my face and swallowed nervously then he tried to correct himself.

" I mean you'd like to see your mate first right? ".

My anger reduced drastically as the thought of my mate filled my head. The thought of seeing her face.

I nodded my head solemnly at Daniel and he lead me to my mate.

When I got to the door of the ICU I hesitated a little bit. Summoning the courage I didn't think I needed up until this moment, I opened the door.

I got inside and was taken aback breathtaking view.

God, she was beautiful.

Her hair was straight and light brown. And from what i remembered Her eyes were blue, bright and vibrant and her lips were bright pink and full. I don't think I've ever seen someone so pretty in my life before.

She's tiny, her body seems fragile yet so womanly. The freckles on her cheeks makes me want to kiss them , all one by one.

I went closer to the bed and my eyes started tearing up as I saw all the wires that was connected to her body.

I took her hands in mine and used my other hand to remove the hair on her face and tuck it behind her ear.

A tear dropped from my eyes onto the bedsheets.

"Wake up love. I would love to hear your voice and see those pretty blue eyes of yours. I would love to make you mine and deal with those people that hurt you.

I don't know if you can hear me but I need you to open your eyes for me".

I wiped my eyes when I heard the doors open and someone walked in.

I turned to see Caleb. I saw the pain and worry in his eyes when he looked at Kenzie.

We stayed like that for a long time looking at Kenzie. I felt a tap on my shoulder and I turned. Caleb pointed to himself and then to me and then he pointed outside. I understood it as his way of saying he wants to talk to me outside.

I looked at Kenzie and the thought of leaving her alone made me uneasy. I think he saw the look on my face because he pointed at the corner of the room instead.

I stood up and went with him. He brought out the clipboard and gave it to me. I looked at it and saw that he had written something on it.
