I heard the sound of someone moving in the room and woke up. I've always been a light sleeper. It has helped me a lot in my uncle's pack. It helped me know when someone is coming to my room to hit me. They never came for anything else. Just to hit me.

I think I zoned out because I heard Jason say something. I looked up at him and just said 'good morning'. I don't want to make a fool of myself by asking him what he said.

"Morning." He said while raising a blanket from the floor. Did he sleep on the floor. I looked at the bed and saw that the other side was neat. It was like no one slept on it, only my side was rumpled. I've always been one to sleep on a spot, I never move. Well, I didn't have a choice. I used to spread my clothes on the floor to sleep. It's either that or sleep on the cold floor with the cockroaches and mice.

My thoughts were cut short when I heard Jason's voice.

"Hope you slept well?" He said with a very hoarse and deep voice.

I nodded my head at the question before I remembered his voice in my head saying 'Use your words Kitten'. I blushed furiously at the thought of that. If he noticed the blush he didn't comment on it.

"I s-slept really well. T-thank you. You didn't have t-to sleep on the floor you k-know" I stuttered out. It was his room. I should have been the one to sleep there. After all I'm used to it.

"Don't worry about it" He said while dropping the folded blanket on the bed and raising the pillows. "I didn't want to make you feel uncomfortable. I'd rather sleep on the floor than do that"

I felt really touched by his words. I'm not surprised anymore. I've figured out already that he's a good man. I just don't know how to act to that. I can count the people that have been nice to me in 5 seconds or even less. BFG, Beta Williams, Jason and Bethany. That was three seconds..... Wow!

"T-thank you" I was really grateful for that. He smiled at me while telling me it was no problem.

"When you were sleeping last night I had Bethany bring you some clothes. It's not much but you'll get more later in the day" He said while pointing to the clothes on the couch.

I was staring at the clothes that Jason called 'not much'. They were like ten, a mixture of trousers, tops and gowns. I quickly told him 'thanks' because I'm not about to reject the clothes. I don't have what to wear and this is the first time I got a new stuff. So don't blame me if I'm smiling like a Cheshire cat at the cloth.

Jason just shook his head at me and pointed to the bathroom.

"I left you a toothbrush. Go take your bath,we are going out".

I nodded my head and stood up. After arranging the bed, I took the bag containing the sanitary pads and almost skipped to the bathroom, Almost.

I got into the bathroom and looked at the mirror. My eyes were no longer dull. They were bright. Brighter than they have been in Ten years. I smiled at that. I am happy here. Very happy.

I looked at the counter and saw a toothbrush there. I have a new toothbrush. When I was in my uncles pack I've been using a toothbrush for close to three years. It's not hygienic but I managed. I kept it very well and even when the brush was scattered I used it. So you can not also blame me if I'm jumping up and down in the bathroom and also smiling at the toothbrush.

" Kitten you might want to stop jumping to avoid getting injured" I heard Jason saying.

I blushed and stopped jumping. I picked up the toothbrush and put toothpaste on it. When I put the brush in my mouth I was hit with a mint taste. My face almost scrunched at the taste but I'm not going to let anything spoil my good mood. After all the toothpaste I used in my uncle's pack doesn't have taste. An Omega bought it for Amber by mistake. I remember how she screamed that day and threw it away. I was very lucky to see it in her trash can.

I finished brushing my teeth quickly and went towards the showers. I opened the door and froze.

It. Is. Beautiful!

I almost squealed. Almost.

This bathroom is awesome. The bathroom I was using in my uncle's pack was, well it was not really bad, no it was bad. When they said I could have my own bathroom, I was somewhat excited till I saw it. It was more than dirty. It was over dirty. I know how many hours I spent that night cleaning the toilet and killing the spiders and cockroaches. My fear of them after then have increased a notch.

I looked at the shower with its many buttons and wondered which I would push. To avoid problems I decided to go ask Jason.

Thank goodness I haven't removed my clothes. If not it will be awkward, very awkward. I thought with a blush.

I went to the door of the bathroom and peeped into the room. I saw Jason sitting on the bed with a phone in his hand, he was just staring at it and the screen was switched off so I figured he might not be busy.

"J-jason?"

He looked up immediately and stood up. His expression changed from calm to worry and confusion in just a second. He is worried about me. That alone made me like him more.

Wait, what!

I- I like Jason. I blushed furiously at that.

"Are you okay? You didn't fall right?" Jason's said interrupting my thoughts. I quickly shook my head but from his expression he didn't believe me.

"I don't k-know which button to press in the shower?" I quickly explained. Embarrassed might I add. I wasn't opportuned to use all these stuffs before so it's kind of embarrassing for me to start learning about them now.

Jason let out a sigh of relief when he heard my reasons.

"Don't worry. I'll show you how to do it" Hr said while leading me to the bathroom. "Kitten you are not meant to jump here okay? Don't jump anywhere at all. I don't want you to fall and get injured. Okay?" He said with all seriousness.

"Yes Jason" I answered while nodding my head.

We went into the bathroom and he showed me how everything works. I just 'oohed' and 'ahhed' to his word. I did it in my mind.

I quickly took my bath with a soap that smells like Jason and bathed with hot water. My first time in ten years to bath with hot water. I also used shampoo and hair conditioner. I've always washed my hair with soap.

When I came out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped round my body, I looked at myself in the mirror and saw that I was still smiling.

I saw a yellow dress, a hair dryer and a hair brush on the counter. Jason must have dropped it there while I was showering. Thank goodness that the shower room is not transparent or he would've seen my scars and want to change his mind. The thought of Jason changing his mind about me almost put me in a bad mood but I quickly erased it from my head.

Kenzie, today is a good day. You woke up in a bed that feels like a cloud. You got many new stuffs. You bath with hot water today so don't let any mean thought put you in a bad mood. I told myself.

I quickly wore my dress. I dried my hair and brushed it. It was not tangled. I know that I didn't take my brush when I ran away and BFG didn't have one. Someone must have done it when I was in coma.

Whoever you are, thank you.

I hung to towel in a rail for it to dry and kept the brush neatly. I entered the room and closed the door gently. I looked round and didn't see Jason anywhere. I was about to sit down when the door opened and Jason came in with a frown on his face. When he saw me the frown was replaced with a calm look.

"Are you done?" He asked still standing by the door.

"Yes, I am"

"Alright let's go and have breakfast, the others are waiting"

Others? I don't know who others are? I just shrugged my shoulders and followed him.

We went outside and Jason locked the door behind him. We started moving towards the direction of what I think is the dining room. I heard voices from there. Even laughter. We..... I mean they never ate together in my uncle's pack. When I finish cooking they'll just take it to wherever they want and eat. It was always tiring for me to go round and look for the plates they used to it.

We entered the room and immediately everywhere was quiet. Very quiet. If you were to drop a pin here you'll here the sound of it. Beside me Jason was standing tense.

I've noticed something or many things in this pack.

'You always notice many things Kenzie' Madison said.

I was surprised to here her voice. She always pops up unexpectedly and goes the same way. I never know when she would speak.

She never replied me and I knew she was gone. To be honest she acts like a ghost.

So as I was saying before Madison rudely interrupted, I've noticed many things in this pack. I think the pack members are scared of Jason. I don't know the reason but they are scared of him. He has always been like kind and gentle with me so I don't understand what's wrong. I'm not going to ask him because I think it's a soft spot for him.

Jason grunted at them and he lead me to two empty seats at the table. The chairs were different from the rest. They were meant for the Alpha and Luna.

Luna!

I'm Jason's mate right? So that makes me Luna.

The thought of me being a Luna made me pause in my steps. Jason also stopped and looked at me with a concerned look. I quickly shook my head at him to tell him it was nothing and I think he mistook the shaking of my head to be 'I don't want to sit on the chair' because he gave me a pointed look. He might be correct at that but I don't want to embarrass myself in front of the pack by saying what's on my mind. Which is 'I'm not fit to be a Luna'.

Jason didn't look at me, He just put his hand on my shoulder and directed me to the seat. I sat on the chair and looked at everyone.

"Good morning" I said to them so that I'll not appear rude. They were silent at first, i think they were shocked that I greeted them. Suddenly they all chorused 'good morning'. I smiled at that but when I looked at Jason I saw him glaring at them. I touched his shoulder and mouthed 'greet' to him. He just looked at me as if I grew horns and shook his head.

I don't know why I did it but I gave him a pointed look, we stared at each other till for a long while till he finally sighed and grunted a 'good morning' at them while looking at me.

I looked back at everyone and they were looking at their Alpha in shock. I might be correct to think that this is the first time Jason greeted them.

They quickly replied his greetings still shocked. I looked at them with a satisfied look on my face. I don't know why Jason's relationship with his pack is shaky but I'll fix it.

Jason served me like five chocolate pancakes with a stack of bacons and added twice the amount to his plate. I looked at my plate in shock. I can't even eat a quarter of this. I quickly put three of the pancakes in his plate and most of the bacons back. I remember that pancakes are his favorite. I don't think Jason was happy with what I did because I could feel is glare burning the back of my head. But I think he's secretly happy with the extra pancakes I gave him because he started eating from them.

As soon as Jason took the first bite everyone started eating. The air in the dining room was tense till we finished eating and stood up.

Everyone also stood up and started packing their plates except Jason. I picked up mine and Jason's plate and was about to go wash it but Jason collected it from me and handed it to an omega that was passing. I looked at him with a frown.

"What wrong?" He asked while looking at me with a confused look etched on his face. Is he seriously asking me that?

I was about to answer him when I saw BFG coming into the dining room. I quickly ran to him and hugged him. It's been long since I saw him. Well not that long.

As I was hugging him I heard someone or rather Jason growl.

I winced and stepped back to Jason's side. I should have learnt my lesson already. Jason does not like me near people. Male or Female. Even BFG. I think he's scared that they'll hurt me or something. When I tried to tell him that I'm not fragile the glare he gave me made me shut up.

Jason dragged me by my shirt back to his side. He was not still touching me and I was happy. It's not that I don't want him to touch me, I'm not comfortable with someone touching me. He might touch me and I'll flinch and that'll make me feel bad.

Jason cleared his throat and pulled me out of my thoughts. He gave me a 'you zoned out again' look and I blushed.

"I just realized that you guys still smell like rouges and I apologize for that. It slipped my mind. Everything that has been going on made me to forget" Jason said while sounding apologetic.

I was about to say something but he had already started talking.

"Caleb you have a choice. If you want to join you are free but if you don't want to there's no problem. You can still stay here" He said while looking at BFG.

Hearing people call BFG Caleb is weird. I thought.

I heard Jason laugh and I look at him with my head tilted and a confused look on my face. Even BFG'S shoulders were shaking with laughter. What's funny.

"Kitten his name is Caleb and it's not weird that we are Calling him by his name" Jason said while smiling.

Oh! They heard me. I blushed profusely at that. Sometimes I tend to say what I'm thinking out loud. It landed me in many trouble in my uncle's pack.

"As I was saying you have a choice Caleb. While you, kitten" Jason turned to me " You don't have a choice. You are this pack's Luna so..." He trailed off and shrugged his shoulders.

I think I understand. He's scared that I might say no to him that's why he's not giving me a choice.

How can I say no when just two days in this pack is better than the ten years I spent in my uncle's pack.

I've eaten more than I've ever think of eaten. The people here are kind to me. No one have hit or called me names. So why not will he think that I don't want to stay in his pack.

I just nodded my head to what he said not wanting to talk.

Jason looked at BFG to know if he wants to join. I looked at BFG too to see an uneasy look on his face. This is the first pack BFG have been in since he left his own pack. He is a lone wolf. He doesn't like people. So this is a tough decision for him.

I don't want to tell BFG what to do but if I can, I would tell him to stay. Sincerely speaking or should I say sincerely thinking.

Duh! I'm not speaking, I'm thinking.

So, sincerely thinking, BFG saved my life many times. If he hadn't taken me to his house, I mean cave or hut. Whatever!! Anyways, BFG saved my life by taking me to his house and not letting me die in the woods. He also saved me when those rogues came to his house. So I just want him to stay here. Where I can keep an eye on him and make sure he's safe. I know he can take care of himself but I worry.

I looked down at my feet not wanting to look at BFG. If I look at him, he might see my puppy dog eyes and change his mind. I want him to answer not because of me but for himself. I was still looking at my feet waiting for him to answer when i remembered that BFG is mute and I won't hear his reply. I looked up but didn't look at his eyes just his shoulders.

BFG nodded his head yes and I breathed a sigh of relief. I was beyond happy that he decided to stay.

Jason led us into his office that was dark like his room and it was filled with books. I looked at the books with a glum look on my face. The last time I read a book was ten years ago,I miss reading. I hope Jason let's me read one.

"So it's just a simple procedure that I'm sure you know" Jason said while looking at me and BFG. BFG nodded his head while I shook my head. I was never accepted into my uncles pack. I didn't smell like a rogue because I was not banished and I didn't run away from the pack.

"Oh I'll explain it then, it's pretty simple" Jason said with a sad look on his face.

"I'll just have to bite your wrist and mine and just put my blood in yours. That's all. You'll be able to mind link all the pack members and they to you" He explained.

I nodded my head and stretched my hand to him. After biting his wrist he took my wrist and brought it close to his mouth.

"It'll sting a little kitten" He said with a sorry expression on his face.

I braced myself for the pain and when it came it was not bad. It was small compared to what I've felt before.

Jason removed his fangs from my wrist and after putting his blood on my wrist he picked it to close the wound.

"Kitten try telling me something in your mind"

I knew how to do this. It's been long but I haven't forgotten.

"Hello?" I tried, unsure.

"Well done kitten" I heard Jason's voice saying.

I blushed and moved back for BFG to get his done.

It was when Jason was biting BFG that I realized that with this I can finally speak with BFG. Well, with mind link. I started smiling at that. I can't wait. It might or might not work.

When BFG was done I quickly sent him 'Hi'.

When I didn't get a reply. I looked down at my feet in defeat. It didn't work. I was trying not to cry when I felt something in the mind link.

"Hello Ken"

I let out a choked sob as I ran to BFG and embraced him tightly. He started rubbing my back and was shushing me in the mind link.
