《The Bad Boy's Toy | ✔️》(11) Ferris Wheel

I look for a parking space in front of the Seashell Boardwalk and park. The Seashell Boardwalk has always been my favorite place in Anaheim to hang out and go shopping and still look out at that beautiful California water. I get out of my car, the heat reminding me how close it is to summer. I lock my car walking up the board walk, the speakers hanging from the poles above the boardwalk and all the little shack stores playing Bad by The Cab.
I smile and walk towards the little restaurant with the outdoor water side tables and I see Trip and Ryan holding hands over the wooden table smiling at each other.
I smile watching them although an unsettling feeling spreading in my tummy. A feeling I'd rather not pay attention too not letting the green monster take me over. Instead I smirk and walk to the table and silently pray for the sake of my best friend that he doesn't let go of her hand, but when I approach I am super happy to see that he has this adorable boyish grin on his face, his eyes sparkling and his thumb softly caressing the back of Ryan's hand.
If this was Instagram I would hashtag them goals like a mad woman.
I grin and pull out a chair and sit in it putting my aviators on top of my head and wink at Ryan as she grins.
"Hey Ash," Trip greets and I smile at him , "Hey Trip." I say and Ryan smiles even bigger.
Ah, young love.
A waiter comes and we all order our food and drinks then I decide to spill my guts and tell them everything. "You guys will never believe me."
They both looked at me with raised eyebrows, then after I finished my story, their jaws are halfway down to the dock below us and their eyes wide.
I sigh and take a sip of my virgin Shirley Temple. "I just don't get it. "

"Alright hold on," Ryan says finally finding words, but her face still looking rather shocked, "So your telling me that basically your big bad boy snuck into your room by your window, took over your bed, made you make him popcorn,"
Trip adds, "Not to mention scaring the crap out of you and your parents," Ryan points to him and nods, "Right and then grabs you, lets you go, makes you watch a movie with him, then you slept together in the same bed all cuddled up, you comforted him when he had a bad dream then this morning just poof! hes gone?"
I nod and sip my Shirley Temple again, "Pretty much."
Trip whistles, "Damn."
"Yeah." Ryan nods.
"Doesn't sound like him at all. I mean Bain White and a woman in the same bed all night long and stayed completely G rated." Trip takes a sip of his root beer. "Not like himself at all."
I trace the rim of my cold glass of sprite and cherry flavoring my eyebrows knitted together in thought. It was completely silent until Ryan looks at me with a raised eyebrow and says, "When he left you this morning, how'd you feel?"
I sigh and tap my straw recalling everything I felt, "I felt weird. Like, sad? Kind of empty, I guess?"
All of a sudden Ryan slams her palm on the table making everybody jump along with the glasses on the table and the utensils. "You like him!"
I laugh. I laugh so hard my lungs started to hurt.
"HA! Ryan you- hahaha, you can't be serious!" I look at her while laughing, then seeing her sober look of a raised eyebrow my laughter dies off and I look at her in disbelief and trip chuckles. "I don't think she's kidding, Ash."
I shake my head. "No,"
Ryan nods grinning, "Yes."
"No!"
"Yes!"
Oh. My. God.
"No Ryan!" I say shaking my head and she nods, "Yes Ashley you know you do! The Bad Boy's Toy has a crush on him!"

After my mental break down Trip finally breaks us up and decides to take us for some ice cream. I've never needed chocolate so badly in all of my life. I literally did a mental prayer thanking the lord for the blessed gift that is Rocky Road Ice cream.
Yum.
Ryan, Trip, and I basically spent the day playing around, riding rides, enjoying the warm weather and having fun all day. Determined to make us forget our troubles Trip took us on many rides. It was a really fun day to be honest. Suddenly we walked to the end of the dock and out on the sand there was a crowd of people in front of a stage dancing in their swimsuits a band playing music and I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw who it was.
"Is that....?" I say completely shocked when Ryan looks at me and we both scream and grab each others hands running as quick as we can where on the stage the one and only were Five Seconds Summer.
Luke the lead singer licked his lips and with a big smile walked to the microphone and sang,
Simmer down, simmer down.
They say we're too young now to amount to anything else,
but look around,
we work too damn hard for this just to give it up now, If you don't swim, you'll drown,
But don't move, honey....
Then Ryan and I sang at the top of our lungs to every lyric of the song until our throats burned. It's times like these that make me forget about all the difficult things and life and make me appreciate the little things.

Later after the concert we we're lucky enough to meet the guys and get our shirts signed, on the back of course, otherwise Trip would have tripped.
Ryan takes a bite out of her soft pretzel and slings her arm around my shoulders. I laugh when my phone rings. I tell them to give me a second and without checking the caller I.D. I step away from my friends and answer the phone.
"Hello?" I answer and then there's a sigh on the other line and a low strong voice that I recognize all to well.
"It's me," Bain said, "Where are you?"
"I," I had no idea what to say, I look at my friends and they give me a look of confusion and I sigh, "I'm at Seashell Boardwalk."
"Are you alone?"
I bite my lip, "No."
Bain sighs on the other line, he sounds... stressed? "Do whatever you have to do to get alone. I'll be by the Ferris Wheel in ten. Be there." Then just like that the line goes flat.
Well that was weird...
I go back to Trip and Ryan and tell them about my interesting phone call. "What do you think he wants?" Ryan asks and I shrug.
"Beats me. He sounded really stressed though. Like he was upset about something."
"So weird..." Trip comments shaking his head and I nod. "Tell me about it." I reply.
I check the time and I tell Ryan and Trip I'd call later and let them know everything. We parted ways and I made my way to the Ferris Wheel and on my way there an entire list of reasons why Bain would want to see me so badly went running through my mind.
It just doesn't make sense.....
I arrive at the Ferris Wheel and see a tall blonde with a black T-shirt and grey joggers already waiting for me. I approach him and he nods to the Cab of the Ferris Wheel and gets in on one side . "Get in." He says and I sigh.
Here we go again.
