《What lies beneath》Chapter Nine

Addylin's POV
I wake up with strong arms around me.
I must of fell asleep through the movie Cole picked out. I turn my head and see his face relaxed and his eyes closed.
I can't believe he's my boyfriend.
He has such a hot body.
I get out of bed and slowly open the door, before heading down the hall to Cole's kitchen. I open the fridge and scowl at the emptiness. I then open the pantry, still disappointed there wasn't much food, but smiled because I saw the container of cookies I gave him. It made me smile, because it was nearly empty.
He likes my cookies.
I shut the pantry and just decide to make him and myself a cup of coffee. Once I do, head back to the bedroom and I place the coffees on his bedside table and then crawl back into bed.
I gasp as I'm suddenly, under him and am being choked. "Cole," I manage to get out. His eyes open and he immediately lets go of me. I cough, trying to regain my breath.
He gets off me and runs his fingers through his hair. "Shit, Addylin I'm so sorry."
"It's okay," I croak. "A-are you okay?"
"That doesn't matter," he says, sitting beside me. His fingers gently run across my neck. "Fuck."
"What?" I whisper.
"Your neck is bruising," he says. "I feel horrible Addylin."
"What caused you to act like that?" I ask. "Is it why you go to therapy?"
"I have nightmares," he admits. "About how I got these." He points to his face. I lift my hand and stroke his cheek. He closes his eyes breathing in. "I got kidnapped when I was sixteen."
"Y-you don't have to tell me," I say.

He nods. "I do."
"O-okay," I whisper.
"So I was kidnapped and held for two years," he explains. "They tortured me verbally and physically."
"Are they in prison?" I ask timidly.
"Some in prison, some dead," he states. "By the time I was free, nobody could touch me or I would freak out and hurt them. Ma sent me to therapy to help that. I have other scars, they are just hidden underneath all my tattoos."
"And that's why you choked me," I say.
He nods. "When people surprise me I still attack."
"I like your tattoos," I admit. "My favourite is the angel wings."
"Those don't cover anything," he says. "They are for my father."
"Why Angel wings?" I ask.
"His name was Angelo," he says.
"That's cute," I murmur.
"Have you got a tattoo?" He asks.
I blush. "Yes."
Okay it's super embarrassing, but I have a daisy on my inner thigh. I was super drunk with Jade one night and we joked that when I did finally have sex I would open like a flower.
"Where?" He asks. "Can I see it?"
"No," I whisper. "And it's on my inner thigh."
His eyes widen. "Really? What is it?"
"It's a daisy," I answer.
"For a pet named daisy?" He guesses.
I blush again. "No."
He squints his eyes. "For a boyfriend named Daisy?"
"No," I giggle. "I got it while I was drunk," I huff.
He laughs. "You? Drunk?"
"Its a rare occurrence," I mumble.
"I'd love to see that," he murmurs. He leans over and placed a soft kiss on my lips. He then sniffs. "I smell coffee."

"Oh yeah I made coffee," I mumble. "You need more food."
I get up and hand Cole his cup of coffee. He takes a sip and moans. "Fuck that's good."
"Your welcome," I say, sitting beside him.
"And for the food comment, I don't buy food, cause I can't cook," he claims. "I just buy pre-prepared food."
I scowl at him. "That's not good for your health."
He laughs and kisses my nose. "That's why I have you now."
I smile a little and sip at my coffee. "I can teach you."
"Why teach me, when you can feed me," he says, smiling.
I shake my head, giggling. "I'm not gonna be here every night."
"You could be," he says. "Maybe I want to have you over for dinner every night."
"Well maybe I have plans," I tease. He chuckles and leans over kissing me. I touch his arm and slowly add tongue, his dancing with mine. We pull away breathless and smiling.
God, Cole is so perfect!

The Hazards of Skinny Dipping
This isn't a deep book about first loves or self-discovery. If you want a book like that, I'd be happy to recommend one, but I don't have that kind of story to tell. Instead my story is about rash decisions and finding out that your dream guy is bad in bed. It's the story of when I finally went skinny dipping, and how my life was never the same again. Oh, and it's also the story of my freshman year of college and realizing Mr. Right might have been there all along.
