《What lies beneath》Chapter Twenty One

Addylin's POV
Shocked covered his face, as I look up at him, waiting for an answer. He knew he couldn't lie to me, so he actually has to tell me the truth.
"I guess I have to tell you everything," he says. He pulls me from the kitchen and into the living room sitting on the couch and pulling me into his lap. "I lied to you."
"About what?" I whisper.
"About my angel wings," he says. "Angelo isn't my dad."
"So who is he?"
"He's the guy who kidnapped me," Cole whispers.
I frown confused. "Why do you have a tattoo for him?"
"To know that he was the one who did this to me," Cole growls. "And that I survived it."
"Okay," I say. "That still doesn't explain the bruises, Cole."
He gulps. "When I get really angry and can't get the tension away by painting, I head down to the prison," he explains. "And I-I release my anger on Angelo."
I bite my bottom lip in distress. "Is that what you did, when I came over and you stormed out?"
He nods. "Yeah."
"I-I guess I understand," I whisper. "He tortured you and this is your way of getting him back."
"I'm so relieved you think that," he whispers. "I didn't want you to think I was the monster, everyone thinks I am."
"I love you," I say. "I'm not going anywhere."
He smirks. "Me either."
I grab his hand and run my fingers along his knuckles. "Does It hurt to punch someone?" I ask.
He nods. "Give me your hand," he orders. I do so and he puts it into a fist. "If you have your thumb on the outside, it won't hurt as bad," he explains. "If it's on the inside, you could risk, breaking your thumb."

"I've never broken a finger," I say. "I've broken my leg though."
He smiles. "How'd you do that?"
"Jade dared me to climb this tall tree," I explain. "And I fell down."
Cole flinches. "Ow!"
"What about you?" I ask. "Ever broken a bone?"
"When I was little I broke my left arm," he answers. "I fell off my bike," he states. "And then, um, when I got kidnapped, they'd break my fingers and toes."
I gasp. "That's horrible."
He nods. "Yep."
I run my hand through his hair. "I'm so sorry you had to go through that."
"You don't have to apologise," he says. "Just kiss me."
I lean down and kiss him, wrapping my arms around his shoulders and grabbing his hair. He grunts and swiftly adds his tongue into our kiss. His hands slide up the back of my thighs till they grab my ass firmly, bringing me closer to him.
I feel Cole harden under me and quickly pull away. "What?" Cole asks, his eyes still closed.
"I want to have sex," I blurt out.
His eyes open and look at me in shock. "What?"
"Not now," I whisper. "But I want to lose my virginity to you."
"You see us getting married?" He questions.
I nod. "Yeah."
His smile brightens the room, as it appears on his face. "I love you," he says.
I kiss his cheek. "I love you too."
*
I hear keys jingling and then the door open, as I watch Days of our lives. I ignore it, knowing it was Jade.
See I'm mad at her.
She thinks I'm gonna react in a bad way to her giving herself around.

I'm not though.
I know she likes sex and has needs.
"Hey Addy," Jade says. She plops down beside me and snatches the remote out of my hand. "How was your day with Cole?"
"Good," I answer, vaguely.
I see out of the corner of my eye, Jade raising her eyebrow at me. "Why do you sound angry at me?"
"Because I am," I hiss and stand up, storming to my room.
She follows me and leans against my doorframe as she watches me sit on my bed and cross my arms. "Cole told you didn't he?"
"Yes," I snap. "And I don't understand why you just can't tell me the truth."
"Because you would've acted horribly," she states.
"I would not," I scream, standing back up. "You always think the worst in me, which in fact I don't give a shit how many guys you fuck, because it's your life to live!"
Jade's eyes widen in shock. "Addy-"
"I'm not finished," I growl. "I don't want you near Cole."
Jade frowns. "I thought you wanted us to get along?"
"You literally made him hide things from me," I snap. "How am I suppose to trust him, if he does that Jade?"
"So you don't trust him?"
"Of course I do," I spat. "I just told him, I see myself having sex with him."
"Holy shit," Jade whispers. "So you like, proposed to Cole?"
I think for a moment. "Well no, but it's on the table," I say. I then shake my head. "We are still fighting."
"Look I'm sorry," Jade says. "I won't make him lie to you."
"He didn't lie," I say. "He just hid it."
"Look the next time I'm over there-"
"You aren't staying there anymore," I snap.
"Addylin stop being some jealous bitch," Jade says. "I'm not going to steal your ugly boyfriend."
She. Did. Not. Just. Say. That.
