《Being a Villainess is No Joke》15. Benchmates

*****************************************
I found the correct room.
Guess how?
Easy. I followed Traashid.
It was mentioned in the novel that Adailia had every single class with the Prince because she had pulled some strings and threatened the staff to put her with the Prince in the starting of the year.
Of course, Traashid shot me a dirty look when he noticed I was following him but boy, I couldn't help it. I'll have to follow him around, at least for today.
I sat at the back of the classroom beside the window while Traashid sat on the first bench of the first row. Wow! This guy is trying to keep as much distance as possible with me within the same room. I sighed and waited for the teacher to head in.
As the classroom filled everyone was silent and nobody and I mean nobody sat beside me or Traashid. Probably because they know Adailia's trashy personality and don't want to get involved with her. Besides, anybody sitting with Traashid on Adailia's watch would be signing their contract to death with Adailia.
But surely I won't kill them. Maybe threaten them to sit somewhere else cause ain't nobody ruining my ship. I hardcore ship Traashid with Seanna and nobody is destroying my ship under my watch.
Yeah, I was that type of a person who'll scream and spend nights weeping silently and asking God 'Why? What did I ever do to you?' if the female lead won't end up with the person I ship her with. I legit threw my phone once when someone else took the female lead's first (kiss or sex, I don't remember accurately). Of course, I regretted throwing my phone and cursed myself all over again.
I sighed. Too bad Seanna is a mage and she doesn't have a single class with Traashid except Lunch.
If they are going to be this far, how am I supposed to build my ship?
I sighed yet again and watched people scrimmaging outside in the grounds.
The teacher headed in and was surprised to see two of his fellow students standing in the back of the class.
The benches beside me and Traashid were empty but they didn't dare to sit there.
"Why are you standing?" The man said in a stern voice. He definitely is that type of a person who you shouldn't mess with, but that just makes you want to mess with him more.
"We will need two benches, professor." The boy said.
Professor? Yasss! Harry Pottahh style!!
The professor's eyes scanned the room and stopped for a moment on me and Traashid.

"I see two empty benches though." He pointed out.
The boy and the girl gave each other a hesitant look.
"Stop wasting my time and quickly sit. The girl with brown hair, sit beside the Prince and the boy with green hair, sit beside Lady Adailia." He said and opened his book.
I opened my book, without glancing at the boy who was walking towards the bench beside me.
I could feel eyes on me, the bystanders probably curious as to why I'm so calm; the girl, probably looking at me as if trying to figure out exactly when I'll burn her house and the boy, probably giving me a cautious look.
After a few seconds I heard some faint sound of something beside me, I couldn't exactly keep a finger on it. It was like something banging against something else. And as time passed by the sound only got louder.
After around a minute or so I heard a squeak somewhere far away and then a lot of gasps, I turned my head to see that the girl who was sitting beside Traashid had fainted.
Lol. Saw that one coming from a mile away.
"I'm sorry. I just said thank you for letting me borrow her pencil and she just-" Traashid explained to the Professor.
"Please bring your own pencil, your highness, the students here aren't used to your charismatic personality." The professor said.
Just then, the boy next to me stood up and said, "I'm sorry professor but I can't sit here."
Why?
"Why?" Asked the professor now rubbing his temples.
I could hear murmurs around the class as to how I threatened him to not sit beside me or something. Honestly, these kids are so immature judging hypocrites. I didn't even look at the boy and they are already spreading false rumours about me.
"It -it" the boy stuttered and I noticed how red his face was.
"What?" Snapped professor.
"MY HEART CAN'T TAKE ITTT!!!" He screamed and clutched his chest.
Everyone else gasped and so did I.
What the actual fuck? That sound earlier was of your heart beating? Kid, are you sure it's not a heart attack?
Never thought to be in the presence of the villainess can have this kind of a side effect on a background character. Well, it was described that Adailia's beauty could make peoples heart beat abnormally fast, but I didn't think that it would literally make peoples heart beat that fast. This scene never existed, I don't remember reading, 'A boy got a heart attack because he sat beside Adailia'.

Now that I think about it, the fainting girls and the nosebleeds weren't mentioned either. It was just an exaggeration used to describe the main character's beauty. It's like writing 'his jawline could chop onions better than me' but you can't actually cut onions on people's jawline. Looks like the novel world follows every word seriously, though they were just exaggerations.
I looked at the guy who was now standing red-faced, still clutching his chest.
Thank God I am not a background character. Their life is really a pity. No proper face, no proper name, they just exist to make the main characters shine. Sigh. Such is the life of a background character.
So in the end, Traashid and I were forced to sit with each other cause nobody else could tolerate us the way we tolerate each other.
"Now, everybody submit their homework and while I check them, you can do whatever you want without making any noise." The professor said and everybody started submitting their homework.
I sat back in my seat and started doodling random things while Traashid just ignored me as usual.
After a few minutes, the professor called my name.
"Yes?"
"Did you do this homework by yourself?" He asked.
"Yes." I replied. Why is he asking this? Even if I didn't do it, he should still let it be, since I'm Adailia.
"I don't think so. Nobody has done all the answers correct since they were very difficult for your level. Now tell me who you copied from."
"I didn't copy from anyone. I solved them by myself." This professor is being really mean right now. If he acted like this with the previous Adailia, he would be giving his own grave.
Wait...I just remembered! He was mentioned in the novel, the strict Math teacher who treated everyone equally and embarrassed Adailia whenever she went out of the line. But of course, he only lasted for a week. Adailia secretly got him murdered by hiring a few bandits.
Sigh. She was truly evil.
"Oh yes? Then can you solve this one?" He taunted me and wrote an equation on the blackboard.
I snorted.
Just wait and watch.
I quickly wrote the answer on the blackboard. I could hear a few snickers from those dumb people who think my answer is wrong, but the expression that the professor wore was telling me what I wanted to know.
"How?! This quickly too!" He muttered more to himself.
"I practised because I was bored and had nothing else to do." I replied and made my way back to the bench where Traashid sat with his mouth open.
I wanted to laugh out loud at his expression.
After that, I continued following Traashid to the rest of the classes.
Finally, he snapped during the Lunch break when I was following him to the dining area.
"Why are you following me?" He asked, glaring at me
"I'm not following you. You are just walking ahead of me." I replied.
"Ahh! Stalking should be illegal." He cried out, pushing his hair back.
Yes, stalking wasn't illegal, yet. Nobody stalked nobles since they had knights and all and the commoners didn't complain if someone was stalking them and tried to solve it at the basic level. Naturally, nobody recognised stalking as a serious matter.
Anyway, I countered him with an awesome comeback, "The only thing that should be illegal, is your face."
"What?"
"Do you know how many girls fainted at the ball just because they looked at your face?"
"No I don't, do you know?" He asked me.
Oh- didn't think he'd actually ask.
"Yes." I replied confidently. I learnt this trick that if I'm going to lie, better do it confidently so that people start doubting the truth.
"How many?" He asked.
Quick, think of a number!!
"Sixty-nine!!" I almost shouted.
Oh. Excuse me and my perverted brain.
Traashid looked thoughtful for a minute before saying, "Oh, of course, a pervert like you would count. "
I let out a sigh, "If I'm a pervert then you're an (asshole)." I gulped the last word. I couldn't get arrested for blasphemy though the Archduke will get me out before I even spend a minute in the dungeon.
"I'm a what?" He retorted.
"Nothing. Now bye."
I quickly walked towards the dining area leaving Traashid to his own thoughts.
I remembered that Adailia had a special table in the centre of the room where she sat with Seanna.
Way to be the centre of attention!
I studded off to the centre table where Seanna was already seating. I sat down and finished off the lunch without quickly without looking like a hungry animal.
The rest of the day passed quickly and I was already on my way out to where the carriages were parked. As I made my to the parking area, my eyes landed on something.
Or someone.
A perfect someone.
