《Sleep With Me | KNJ x Reader》Ch 31 | Nickname

You're skipping along the sidewalk, humming to yourself as you leave work to meet Nanami for dinner. She's been begging you to go to this stand that apparently has the best chicken skewers in Seoul, and they're only open on Wednesdays. She made you pinky promise to join her this time.
Things between you and Namjoon have been great the last two and a half weeks. He's surprisingly had quite a bit of free time, allowing you two to stay at each other's place almost every night. The soundproof walls have been coming in handy since the two of you are unable to keep your hands off each other like horny teenagers; you actually prefer staying over at his apartment now.
Jeffrey and Boram got sent off on a 3 week business trip in Busan, so you haven't really been able to explain what happened that night. Boram had texted you saying they wouldn't ask any questions for now, but that you were all having a powwow when they got back. You're surprised you haven't heard from Jeffrey asking a hundred questions, but it's likely that Boram told him not to.
"So what will you guys do about the contract?" Nanami asks, biting into a skewer and burning her mouth. "Ow, fuck- isn't the renewal date coming up?"
"Oh shit," you groan, "I totally forgot about it. I've still been getting paid for four nights of the week even though we're staying together more than that."
"Are you guys dating?" she asks, still blowing on her skewer. "Like is he your boyfriend?"
You pause, furrowing your brows as you stare down at the plate of smoked chicken. "I don't know. I haven't thought about it." You look up to meet her eyes. "I think so?"
"Has he asked you to be his girlfriend?"
"No..." you mumble, looking back down.
"Sounds like you're just his prostitute now," she snorts playfully.
Your jaw slacks a little as you realize she's right. You're not just getting paid to sleep next to him anymore. You also happen to get paid as your back gets blown out by him regularly too.
"Oh god," you groan, running your hand through your hair. "Am I supposed to just ask him 'are we dating?' I don't really like that though. I'd feel like I was making him do it if I were the one to bring it up."
Your frown morphs into a pout as your nibble on your chicken, lost in thought.
"I'm surprised he hasn't asked yet," Nanami says, taking a sip of her water. "He seems like the traditional type. Like he would want to make things clear."
"Maybe he doesn't actually like me," you frown.
You and Nanami lock eyes before bursting out in laughter.
"Fat chance," she snickers, picking up another skewer. "I'm pretty sure he's the one who's fallen harder."
"I agree," you giggle. "His love language must be physical touch because he is glued to me when we're together. The other day I asked him to get off of me because he's literally a walking furnace and I was starting to sweat. He looked at me like I'd shot him."
"I can totally see that," she leans her head back laughing.
"What's up with you and Jimin?" you ask, brows raised.
Her smile gradually disappears as it turns into a nervous lip bite.
"What?" you ask sternly. "Did he do something wrong? He's my bias but I am not afraid to run him over with my car."

"No," she snorts, anxiously rubbing her palms against her denim skirt. "He actually told me he likes me." She mumbles it so quietly you almost don't hear her.
"What!?" you exclaim, palms slapping the table. You quickly cover your mouth as you see several tables turn to glare at you. "Oh my god," you whisper into your palm. "What did you say?"
She twiddles her thumbs in her lap while avoiding eye contact with you. "I told him I wasn't sure how I felt," she mumbles.
Your brows furrow as you stare at her. She knows damn well how she feels. It didn't take that long for her to get over Chul, and you know the eyes your best friend makes when she likes someone. Over the last month and a half, you've watched her eyes gradually transition from lustful to affectionate when she looks at Jimin.
"I panicked and ran out of his apartment," she says shakily, pressing her face into her hands. "Like a child."
"When did this happen?" you ask softly, hearing the sadness in her voice.
"Monday night," she murmurs.
She's scared. She doesn't want to be hurt again. She knows Jimin is a flirt, constantly surrounded by beautiful women. Anyone would be insecure.
"I know he comes across as a playboy," you smile, gently taking her hand. "But Jimin is much more genuine than he seems. He cares for his people deeply, so if you're worried about him being unfaithful, I don't think you need to."
Her lip quivers as she looks up at you. It's rare to see Nanami act so fragile. You and Hana are the only two she lets see this side of her; you've only seen it maybe 3-4 times over the last two years. For her to react this way, she must've really fallen for him. Any other fuck buddy would've been tossed to the curb immediately if they'd confessed and she didn't feel the same.
"I know you like him, Nans," you grin, squeezing her hand. "I know I'm a little biased but I think you should give it a shot. Just let him take you on a couple dates and see how you feel. You don't have to make a big commitment right now."
Biting into her lower lip, she mulls over your words. Taking a deep breath before letting out a long exhale, she says, "Okay, I'll talk to him."
"That's my girl," you laugh, letting go of her hand to grab another skewer. "Also, you were right. These are the best chicken skewers I've ever had."
"You don't have to lie to me," she snorts. "These were definitely not worth standing in line for an hour."
"How was dinner?" Namjoon asks, placing a kiss on your forehead.
"Good," you smile, setting your purse on the island. "Did Jimin tell you?"
"He actually just called me," Namjoon sighs, rubbing the back of his neck. Namjoon had just got done with his workout when you walked in, and he looks hot as fuck in his tight blue muscle shirt and white biker shorts. You almost barked like a dog when you saw his quads. "He's freaking out. He's worried he scared her off. Jimin's a lot more sensitive than people think."
"Don't worry," you giggle. "She came here with me; she got off on his floor to talk to him."
"Oh good," Namjoon exhales. "I was worried he was going to show up at my door crying."

"Wow," you laugh, moving past him into the kitchen. "Sounds like he really likes her."
"Yeah, it's ironic," Namjoon chuckles, leaning against the counter as you grab a sparkling water, "because that day Nanami asked to fuck him, I distinctly remember him confirming with her that there would be no feelings involved."
"I'm pretty sure you said the same thing," you say playfully. "What was it? You told me that I'm just a measly employee and that we're not dating?"
"Hey," he huffs, "I made up for it."
Having brought up the subject of dating, you break eye contact and purse your lips, deep in thought. You stare at the refrigerator, wondering if you should bring it up or not. You're completely unaware that the look on your face is giving Namjoon anxiety.
He walks over to you, lacing his fingers through yours, snapping you out of your trance. "Are you upset? Did I not make up for it?" he asks nervously.
"Oh, no I'm not upset," you chuckle, awkwardly pulling your hand from his. "I was just thinking about something. Did you have dinner?" you ask, trying to change the subject. You set your bottle down and walk towards the stove. "I can make you someth-"
Your voice is caught in your throat as Namjoon presses his body against your back, arms gripping the marble as he traps you against the counter. His lips graze the skin on your neck, his breath sending a chill down your spine.
"Are you not going to tell me what's wrong?" He asks before gently placing slow, sloppy kisses up your neck, the AC blowing against your wet skin giving you goosebumps. He's still slightly glowing from his workout, his natural, sensual smell filling your nostrils. It baffles you how he can still smell so good after sweating like that.
You whimper as he begins to suckle your earlobe. "Namjoon what are you-"
His right hand leaves the counter to grip your throat, loose enough for you to breathe but tight enough to shut you up. "My name is not Namjoon to you," he softly growls into your ear. "You're only allowed to call me two things. I mean unless you want to add daddy to the list, then we can make it three." Your body trembles as you feel the smirk against your ear.
The thought of him railing you from behind as you call him daddy sends a bolt of electricity straight to your lower half. You've never had a daddy kink before but you also weren't getting dicked down by Kim Namjoon. The idea actually turns you on.
He releases your throat and whips you around to face him, hands returning to the marble counter, still trapping you. His face is within inches of yours, his beautiful brown eyes looking longingly in yours. "What aren't you telling me?"
"It's nothing, it's just..." you pause, looking away as you try to find the right words. He stands there, waiting impatiently for you to finish.
"It's the contract," you sigh, looking back towards him.
"What about the contract?" he asks, brows raised as he leans back to give you a little more space.
"I don't like it," you pout, crossing your arms over your chest. "Now that we're actually sleeping together I feel like a whore. I feel like a dirty secret you have to pay to keep quiet."
He blinks a couple times before removing his hands from the counter. "Mr. Song and I are meeting tomorrow to talk about the contract," he says softly, uncrossing your arms to hold your hand. "I was going to tell him we didn't need to renew."
You look up at him, his eyes full of honesty and adoration. "You were?" you ask. "Why didn't you tell me?"
He leans his head back and groans as he backs up into the island, loosely crossing his arms over his chest. "I had this whole plan, and now you've gone and ruined it."
"Plan?" you question, brows furrowing in confusion.
"I asked you to go to dinner with me this Friday," he mumbles, avoiding your eyes. "I was going to tell you. And ask you something..." he trails off, ears turning red.
Your face flushes a bright shade of pink, realizing he was going to ask you to go steady.
[Y/N] you dumb fucking idiot. Of course he had something planned.
"Oh," is all you can spit out, looking at him in awe. His ears turn a darker shade of red as you keep staring at him.
"Wait," you complain, stomping your foot. "This is your fault. I wasn't going to say anything yet but you went all daddy on me and made me spill."
He looks at you in shock for a moment before realizing you're right. "Dammit," he groans into his palm. "Don't be so obvious when you're upset then."
You giggle as you wrap him into a hug. "I'll pretend I don't know, okay?" you smile into his shoulder. "Because I definitely want to see this plan in action."
"Okay baby," he chuckles, squeezing you back. "Also, don't call me Namjoon. It's Joon or Baby, you got that? You only ever call me Namjoon when something's wrong. I don't like it."
You pull back slightly to make eye contact and smile playfully at him. "How about we try out that third nickname tonight?"
It takes him a second to register your words but as soon as it does, a slow grin spreads across his face, his eyes filling with lust. "I think that's a great idea."
• • • • • • • •
After work you ran straight home to shower and start getting ready for dinner. The last two days have been agony for you, having to wait to hear those words from Namjoon's mouth. It was hard to think about anything else; even Nanami was useless in trying to distract you.
"I'm actually going to be Kim Namjoon's girlfriend," you squeal to yourself, drying your hair with the blow dryer.
Namjoon didn't give you many details on tonight's date. All you know is that it's a high-end steakhouse that'll probably cost a month's worth of rent. On your way home from work he'd texted you that he should arrive around 8pm to pick you up.
You've slipped yourself into the black chiffon halter dress Namjoon had waiting for you at the apartment. The neckline dips just between your breasts, leaving a hint of cleavage, while the fabric hugs you tightly over your curves. The semi-transparent sleeves extend down to your wrists while the hem of the dress ends at your mid thigh.
After putting together your hair and makeup, the sight of you is breathtaking. Even you don't recognize yourself. You plan to pair the look with your favorite white pumps, and a thin white jacket for the chilly autumn air.
You're finished getting ready around 7:30pm, right as you hear the doorbell ring.
"He's early," you excitedly smile to yourself. It makes you happy thinking about how he couldn't wait either.
You slip on your jacket and grab your handbag before opening the door.
"Hey bab-"
You're paralyzed as a blunt object strikes the side of your head, blurring your vision. The pain washes over you so quickly it leaves you breathless, making you stumble against your open door. The last thing you see before falling to the ground and passing out is a hideous smile stretched across Hae-Ran's face.
