《Sleep With Me | KNJ x Reader》Ch 50 | Anguish

"Yoongi, please," Nari begs, gripping his wrist to stop him from walking away.
"I have to get back to the other members," he says coldly, glaring at her over his shoulder. "I don't have anything to say to you."
"Yes, you do," she says shakily, a tear rolling down her cheek. "At least yell at me or something. Stop ignoring me."
He lets out a long, annoyed exhale as he turns to face her. "Why should I talk to you when you don't talk to me? What kind of fucking girlfriend are you?"
Nari lets go of his wrist and stares at the ground, shifting uncomfortably on her feet.
"What were you thinking?" he grits through his teeth. "You've had it out for [Y/N] since the beginning for no reason. I knew you didn't trust her but I thought you were just worried about Namjoon."
"I was just worried about Namjoon," she whimpers, still staring at her feet.
"Yeah well look where that fucking got you," he snorts, putting his hands on his hips. "You didn't trust me, you didn't trust [Y/N], and you didn't trust Jungkook. You only trusted yourself."
"I'm sorry," she chokes out, her teary eyes looking back up at him.
"No you're not," he seethes, anger beginning to overtake his body. "You didn't even have the balls to tell me what you'd done. I had to hear it three days later from Jimin."
"Because I knew I fucked up," she starts to sob. "I knew you'd be mad and I was scared."
Yoongi's heart breaks a little more as he stares into her eyes. Nari and Hae-Ran were good friends, and she never forgave herself for letting that happen to Namjoon. Nari had trusted Hae-Ran and she's been hesitant to accept anyone into her circle since then.
"Sorry isn't going to fix this," he sighs, glaring at nothing to his right.
More tears start falling down Nari's face as she grips the hem of her shirt. "Are you going to break up with me?"
He slowly shifts his eyes back to her, his stomach turning over as he hurts for everyone. For Namjoon, for you, for Nari, for Jungkook, for Jimin.
"I'm not doing anything right now," he says quietly, pinching the bridge of his nose. "But you have to understand where I'm coming from. You have to understand that what you did was wrong. You've destroyed a relationship."
She bites her lip and nods. She knows what she's done. When you left the apartment, crying and running after Namjoon, Nari was left alone with Jungkook as he slowly explained everything. The guilt has been eating away at her, and there's nothing she can do about it.
"I have to go," Yoongi sighs, turning back around to walk out. "We'll talk later."
He gently shuts the door behind him as Nari crouches to the ground, sobbing into the palms of her hands.
"Hey man, are you okay?" Jin asks as Yoongi walks towards the couch he's on. Namjoon's silently sitting on the other side of him.
Yoongi plops himself on the couch and leans his head back against the cushion, his palms rubbing against his eyes. "No I'm not. I'm so angry."
Jin ruffles the back of his hair before Yoongi swats him away.
"Are you guys ready to head out?" Jimin asks, packing the rest of his bag.
The four of them had mandatory dance lessons today since Hoseok has a stick up his ass. Jimin looks at Yoongi and Jin, avoiding Namjoon's eyes as they all start to get up.

Things are still a little tense between Namjoon and Jimin, mostly due to Jimin's lingering anger over the Hae-Ran comment. Namjoon has apologized a hundred times, but it's not Jimin's place to forgive him. He knows he's sorry and he knows he feels bad. He will eventually get over it, but not right now.
"Do you guys want to grab dinner around the corner?" Jin asks, following Yoongi off the elevator, Jimin and Namjoon trailing behind. "Namjoon don't even try to say no because I'm going to make you eat."
Namjoon grips his bag, feeling both annoyed and grateful for Jin. He knows he needs to eat but right now he just wants to go to sleep.
Last night Namjoon almost exploded when he read your text, telling him you still love him too. He had no idea where your head was at, well he still doesn't really, but at least he knows you don't hate him. Jin had to suffer a three mile run with him just to calm his nerves.
But you didn't reply to his second text, him telling you he'd like to talk whenever you're ready. He knows you need more time but not talking to you is killing him.
Maybe you should've thought about that before dumping her you fucking moron, Namjoon thinks to himself.
"Sure, I can eat," Yoongi shrugs. "Come on Jimin, you too." Jimin rolls his eyes but follows along anyways. The chatter consists mostly of Jin talking about random things during the ten minute walk, Namjoon and Jimin just staring at the ground as they trudge behind.
"Actually let's eat somewhere else," Jin laughs nervously, trying to turn the group around.
"Come on, hyung," Jimin groans. "Let's just eat here so we can go home faster."
"They're closed," Jin smiles tightly. "Let's go somewhere else and I'll drive."
"I know it's not closed hyung it's right th-"
Jimin freezes in place before slowly looking up at Namjoon, praying he hasn't noticed, but his eyes are already looking at the restaurant. More like the people inside the restaurant. It's you, waiting in line, but you're not alone. You're staring down at your phone as Jeffrey has his arm around your waist, leaning into you as he watches whatever you're looking at as well.
Namjoon's throat tightens as Jeffrey tilts his head back in laughter at something you said. Your face remains pretty neutral as you point to the screen, telling him something Namjoon can't hear.
"Is that the translator from the other day?" Yoongi asks, brows furrowed in confusion.
"That's the English bastard," Jimin sighs. "That's Jeffrey."
"Damn he's acting like a koala bear, sticking to her like that," Yoongi snorts.
The air gets completely still as they all watch Jeffrey swing himself to the front of you, cupping your cheeks in his hands, making you look up from your phone and into his eyes. He smiles and says something before leaning down to kiss your forehead.
Namjoon's stomach sinks as he watches you stand there, not flinching away or pushing him off. Jeffrey places a kiss against your skin like it's the most natural thing in the world, you both continuing your conversation like nothing happened as he wraps his arm back around you.
"Namjoon," Jin says sternly, gripping his shoulder. "Calm down."
Namjoon looks at him confused until he realizes his knuckles are white from clenching his fists, and he'd stopped breathing.
He exhales sharply before inhaling again, repeating this over and over trying to catch his breath. Yoongi pats his back as he calms down, his body slowly relaxing.

Namjoon looks back up through the windows and you're gone, probably having already ordered and sat down somewhere. Tears begin to swell as his eyes move back down to his feet.
"You know you dumped her right?" Jimin snaps.
"Jimin," Jin groans. "Come on man. He knows."
"You dumped her and she shut Jeffrey down last night anyways."
Namjoon's teary eyes snap up to meet Jimin's, who's got his arms crossed over his chest as he glares at him.
"I didn't want to fucking tell you this because I'm still angry. But according to Nana, [Y/N] asked him why he kisses her so much," he says, frustratedly running his hand through his hair. "She told him she didn't mind if he does it, but that she's still in love with you, and that she doesn't want to lead him on."
Tears spill over Namjoon's cheeks as the salty water drips onto the concrete below him.
Jimin angrily points to the windows where you and Jeffrey were standing. "She's got that fine ass god of a man in her bed every night, showering her with praise and affection, and you're all she's thinking about."
Namjoon crouches to the ground as he grips the back of his neck, his elbows resting on his knees as he weeps over his shoes.
"I love her so much," he sobs, Jin moving to rub his back. "I don't know what to do."
"You're going to figure it out," Jin says softly, smoothing his hand over Namjoon's shirt. "We've got your back no matter what."

"Damn, hyung," Taehyung smirks. "You look fine as hell today. Anything I need to know about?"
"Shut up," Namjoon chuckles, fixing up his tie.
"You're not going to compliment me?" Jin frowns, arms crossing over his chest.
"No," Taehyung snorts. "Your head is already too big. Let's go." Taehyung earns himself a punch in the arm before turning around.
The three of them leave the dressing room to head for the elevator. They're all wearing sleek black Louis Vuitton tuxedos, about to meet the others downstairs and head to a charity event. Jin and Taehyung have their hair styled messily over their foreheads while Namjoon's blonde hair is slicked back, just a few strands falling over his forehead. Namjoon has to give a speech in English today and he's nervous about it since he hasn't been able to prepare very well.
They step into the elevator shaft and press the button for the lobby; Jin and V are laughing about a funny cat video Hoseok sent while Namjoon stares at his shoes. The elevator stops on the fifth floor and Namjoon feels Taehyung stiffen next to him as they fall silent.
Namjoon's heart jumps to his throat as he looks at the two figures waiting just past the elevator doors. Before him stands Jeffrey with his obnoxiously good looking face, and you, eyes wide and lips parted slightly as the two of you make eye contact.
Your eyes dart to the ground as you purse your lips together, everyone remaining silent. Taehyung extends his arm out and against the doors to keep them open, him and Jin shifting closer to Namjoon to make more room.
Namjoon watches as Jeffrey steps closer to you and puts his hand on your back, your eyes lifting to meet his. "Do you want to get on?" he asks softly. "Or do you want to wait for the next one?"
Namjoon's heart does another backflip as you look over to meet his eyes, holding his gaze this time. The two of you stare at each other for what feels like an eternity, but in reality it was only a couple seconds.
"No it's fine," you say calmly, lowering your eyes back down to step forward. Jeffrey shuffles in behind you with his hand still on the small of your back, keeping his eyes on Namjoon. Namjoon doesn't even notice Jeffrey's existence anymore as his eyes are glued to the side of your face.
Jin however, does notice Jeffrey glaring at Namjoon, so he shifts slightly in front of his brother's shoulder, giving Jeffrey one of the most terrifying stare downs he's ever witnessed. It's rare for Jeffrey to be intimidated by another man, but Jin's threatening gaze is so intense it almost makes him squirm.
"Hey [Y/N]," Taehyung says cheerily, breaking the silence as the elevator doors close. "It's good to see you."
You turn your head towards him and give him a small smile. "It's good to see you too, I saw your vlive the other day."
"Oh really?" he chuckles, stuffing his hands in his pockets. "It was pretty much just me and Jimin bickering the whole time."
"Just like an old married couple," you laugh, your body starting to relax.
Namjoon's still frozen in place but his shoulders begin to relax as he sees you get more comfortable. Just seeing you up close has already healed one of the gaping holes in his chest. His relaxation doesn't last long as he hears the elevator ding, signaling the ride is over.
His throat tightens as he sees you take a step forward, Jeffrey following behind as you start to walk away.
"[Y/N]," Namjoon chokes out, his body moving forward and his hand instinctively reaching out to grab yours, surprising the both of you. You look up at him, eyes wide as he stands there, just looking at you. He has so much to tell you. So much to apologize for. He has so much to say yet he's standing here, halfway out of an elevator absolutely speechless.
Your eyes travel down to his hand that's grasping yours.
"Oh, s-sorry," Namjoon stutters, beginning to pull his hand away but his breath hitches as he's unable to. His eyes travel down to your hand as well to find you gently gripping his pointer finger. Adrenaline courses through Namjoon's veins so aggressively he almost can't hear anything.
He looks back up to your face and you're just staring down at the floor with an unreadable expression.
"Jeffrey, [Y/N]," Mr. Lim calls out from the lobby. "Let's get a move on."
You look over at Mr. Lim before turning back towards Namjoon, your facial expression blank but he can see the gut wrenching pain behind your eyes. His stomach turns over as you look into his eyes, his showing the same amount of anguish as yours.
"I have to go," you say softly, letting go of his hand, almost causing him to whimper. You turn to start walking away, but only make it a few steps before turning around again.
"Good luck today, you're going to crush it," you flash a small smile at Namjoon, knocking the wind out of him. He stands in place as he watches you walk out the main entrance with Jeffrey and Mr. Lim on either side of you.
"Don't do it," Taehyung says, fanning Namjoon's face with his hands. "Your makeup's already done. No crying."
Namjoon blinks back the tears in his eyes and forces down the lump in his throat, straightening himself up. "I'm not going to cry," he says shakily, taking a long, deep breath.
Jin and Taehyung blink at him in confusion, expecting him to have turned into a blubbery puddle after that.
Namjoon balls his hands into fists, and the boys smile as they see the life start to return to his eyes. "I'm not going to cry. I'm going to win her back."
