《The shy boy from math class》Chapter 10| Time to party

Genevieve fluffs her hair one more time and blows herself a kiss through the mirror. I apply a thin coat of matte pink lipstick and shake my head just to see my curls move around.
I debated straightening my hair but I know Jimmy would literally kill me if I even thought of bringing heat near my hair.
Genevieve applies a thick coat of lip gloss and pouts her lips. She stands up and does one last twirl around the mirror. One thing about Genevieve is that ever since we were in middle school if you wanted to know about Genevieve's personality you'd look at her clothes. She always comes up with the cutest outfits and experiments with different styles every day.
I decided to change my whole outfit last minute since it's supposed to be a little chillier tonight. I decided on a black long sleeve shirt, a few necklaces, a burgundy skirt, and tights.
Genevieve is wearing brown flowy pants with a white corset shirt with lace sleeves. She said something about it being her moms or at least the corset part. I think she sewed the sleeves on. I'm not sure.
We glance at ourselves one last time before heading out of my room. Genevieve follows me downstairs and my mom shoots her head up at us and furrows her eyebrows. "Where you girls headed to?"
"Clarissa's party?" I mimic her face. "Mom I told you about the party last week."
She nods and shuts her book. "I have a night shift tonight so I won't be home. Cora's staying at Nina's and I'm guessing you'll stay at Gen's?"
I nod and I grab Genevieve's hand and we rush out of the door. I push Genevieve out first and shout a quick 'I love you' to my mom.

"Where's your dad?" She asks as we walk down the pathway.
"Business trip," I reply. We get into my car and Genevieve pulls out her phone and types in the address.
☆
"I thought you said it'd be a small party!" I shut the car door and look at the house that has people just about everywhere.
"This is a small party." Genevieve squeaks.
It took us almost half an hour to find a parking spot where I wouldn't get a ticket. I would love to see what is considered a big party for Genevieve.
Genevieve takes my hand and leads me up the steps and into the crowded house. Genevieve pushes through the crowds and we end up in the kitchen which is probably the least crowded. She scans all the cupboard and takes out a bottle and grins at me.
She grabs two of the disposable shot cups and places them on the counter. She pours the strong-smelling alcohol until it's about to overflow. I grab the cup and tilt my head back.
"Wait for me!" Genevieve laughs.
We clink our cups together and she says, "Fuck the male population!"
"Agreed!" I giggle. I tilt my head back and chug down the drink. I drop the cup and immediately feel the burning sensation hit the back of my throat and I squeal.
"What the hell was that?" I grab the bottle and look around the label.
"Vodka." She says.
I open the bottle hold it in front of me. Genevieve stares at me with supportive eyes and I bring the bottle to my lips. I feel like cool liquid run down my throat and Genevieve chants for me to chug.
I stop drinking after I start to feel sick to my stomach. I hold the bottle up and Genevieve takes it from my hand. "Holy shit you almost finished the whole thing!"

I wipe my mouth with the back of my hand and can't help but burst into laughter. I don't feel any different. I don't feel like stumbling all over the place or slurring my words.
I learned last year that it takes me a while to actually get drunk.
Genevieve looks over her shoulder and waves at someone to come over here. I follow her gaze and see Scarlett swaying her hips while she walks towards us. We cheer her on and she wraps her arm around me.
"Selena!" She laughs. "I'm s-so proud of you for even showing up."
I glance Gen a weird look and look at Scarlett. "Why wouldn't I show?"
"Af-After what my b-b-brother did t-to y-you, Silly." She rests her head on my shoulder and I can smell the alcohol coming from her breath.
Genevieve's eyes widen and she puts her hand over Scarlett's mouth. "She doesn't know what she's talking about, Sel."
I smack her hand away and pull Scarlett away from me and I stand in front of her. "Calvin told you about him hurting my wrists?"
She closes her eyes for long periods of time and shakes her head no. "No silly he got Gaby pregnant."
My eyes widen and I feel my heartbreak. Scarlett keeps laughing and it makes it hurt worse. I know she's drunk and when Scarlett gets drunk she really shows it.
Genevieve stares at me with her jaw dropped and Scarlett wraps her arms around me. "I am so so sorry, Selena. Y-You should've never dated my stupid brother."
"Where is he?" I manage to choke out.
She pulls away and burps. "C-Chanel saw him g-go upstairs with Gab-y-y."
I wipe the tears coming down from my eyes and push right past them.
"Selena!" Genevieve follows me upstairs. "Selena wait!"
I lose her in the long hallway that is filled with people coming and going. I open every door I can open and accidentally walk in a couple of blow jobs and sex tapes.
I reach the master bedroom at the end of the hall and push the door open. I find Calvin and Gaby arguing with each other and I push the door even widen.
Calvin sees me and my teary eyes and rushes to me. "Babe? What's wrong?"
I smack his hands away and feel the tears stream down my face harder. "So the rumors were fucking true?! You got her pregnant?!"
Genevieve rushes into the room and stops in her tracks. "Sel, I think we should-"
I smack her hand away too and stare at Calvin who has guilt plastered all over his face.
"Selena, I can explain." He chokes.
"Explain that you fucked my friend? How could you do this to me?" I cry. I look at Gaby who has tears streaming down her face too. "How could you do this to me, Gab? I thought we were friends!"
