Laura pov.

''You have no idea how long I have been waiting for this moment.'' Ross whispered to me still holding me against him but I didn't answer him. I just stood there taking in his scent.

I looked at Emma and the beta had let her go but he was still standing next to her with his arm around her waist. I could see fear in her eyes. Not from her mate hurting her but from all this. She was a werewolf's mate. She didn't know what to do.

I gave her a small smile. She gave me one back and looked at the crowd.

I fallowed her and looked. The crowd was still looking at us and they will continue to look until they can't see us anymore.

I was starting to get uncomfortable with those hundreds of eyes looking at us.

I tried to pull away from Ross but he just pulled me closer and didn't bother to look up.

''Hey,'' I whispered and he mumbled, ''Can we please get off the stage? It's getting uncomfortable, '' he growled at that, thinking I was uncomfortable with him holding me, ''with the hundreds of eyes looking at us.''

He stopped growling and nodded, letting me go but still holding one arm around me. We walked down the stairs with Emma and the beta behind us. Molly, Dylan, Jack and Luke followed as well.

When we got down the people turned away from us and continued to talk with others. Finally.

Ross didn't pull me into a hug again. He only kept an arm around my waist so I was close to him. I looked up at him and saw him already looking down at me. I looked in his deep brown eyes and saw a lot of emotion in them. He was happy, angry and sad mixed with a lot of other emotions. I didn't understand the sad part tho.

Was he sad about meeting me? Did he not want to find me?

''So...''Molly started and I looked away from Ross's eyes and felt him growl a little but no one could hear it. I only could because I felt his chest vibrate from it, ''Does anyone want a drink?''

Emma nodded at her. The beta shook his head. Dylan and Luke shook their heads but Jack on the other hand nodded.

Molly looked at me and I shook my head with a smile. She looked at Ross and then at me because he hadn't answered her yet.

I looked up at him and he was still looking at me. He didn't even bother to look at Molly when she talked, ''Do you want to drink something?''

He shook his head at my question and I nodded slowly and looked at Molly who understood.

''Okay then I am going to get them,'' she said and turned around.

''Wait!'' Emma said and I looked at her, ''I'm going to help you!''

She looked at the beta who I think was called James. James nodded and let her go. Emma walked next to Molly and looked at me.

She wanted to talk.

I looked up at Ross and he already was shaking his head, ''No''

''Why? I won't run away from here. I just want to help.'' I said and he growled.

''They don't need your help. They can manage on their own.'' He answered and I was the one growling now.

''Let me go so I can help them.'' I growled at him and he shook his head.

''It's okay Laur,'' Emma said and I shook my head.

''No, I want to help.'' I said to her and turn back to Ross, ''let me go help.''

''No'' he growled out and pulled me closer. I was about to growl but I took a deep breath. I knew that I would get nowhere with this. I had to try another way.

I put my arms around his neck. He instantly put his both arms on my waist and pulled me against him. I reached up so my lips where almost touching his ear.

''You know'' I started with a whisper and felt him shiver at that. I smiled and continued to whisper, ''If you let me go now I promise not to run away and come back right after...and then we can walk somewhere else so we are alone...''

He growled again and I felt him pull me closer again. I smiled knowing that he will let me go now. He wanted to be alone and I knew that.

''You got five minutes'' he whispered and let me go. I smiled at him and turned away to walk to where Emma and Molly was.

Emma smiled and we walked away. I looked back one last time at Ross to see him looking at me again. He put his fingers to his other hand where a wristwatch should be and tapped it three times. I nodded at him and looked back to see where I was going.

''What did you say?'' Molly asked me.

''Oh nothing'' I answered with a smirk and she laughed at me.

''He is going to go crazy after a while with you'' Molly said with a laugh and me and Emma joined her.

''Probably'' I answered and smiled. Then I turned towards Emma who was on the other side of me, ''So?''

''So what?'' she asked me confused.

''Talk, I only have five minutes.'' I said.

''What do you want me to talk about?'' she asked me and turned away acting like she didn't know anything.

''Oh please girl'' I said with a laugh, ''don't act dumb''

''You got a mate'' Molly said to Emma, happy.

''Oh dear god, don't even start this. I don't know what to do, what to say, what to feel...'' Emma said scared.

''Just be yourself.'' Molly said and I nodded, ''plus he is the beta of Laura's mate so you will be going with her to his pack''

I stopped. I forgot about that. I will have to leave. I won't be part of this pack. I will have to hide my secret.

Oh dear god my secret!

I will have to tell Ross about it. He will have to know about me being a white wolf. I will have to tell him.

Molly and Emma stopped as well and looked back at me, ''Are you okay?''

''I will have to leave...''I started.

''Well duh, you are going to be the Luna'' Molly said with a smirk.

''But that means leaving you all'' I continued. I looked at Molly and saw her hiding her sadness behind the smile she was showing.

''Hey, we will see each other! His pack is the neighboring pack! We can see each other whenever we want!'' Molly said and took my hand and Emma's as well, ''We'll all miss you two but you're going with your mates! That's awesome!''

''Yeah...''I mumbled and looked down. Molly squeezed my hand and I looked up. She gave me a smile and I gave her one back.

''Promise you will visit us as much as you can?'' Emma asked and Molly nodded.

''I promise!'' Molly said with a laugh and pulled us into a hug.

''But hey!'' I said when we pulled away, ''I am not going away tonight! We don't need to say goodbye yet!''

''Yeah, me too! I am staying here!'' Emma said and I smiled at her, ''Fuck him if he wants me to go with him today!''

We all laughed at her and I nodded, ''Yeah, fuck them!''

''Hey sweetheart'' I stopped to laugh and froze. So did Molly and Emma. They looked behind me, ''Your time is up''

I took a deep breath and slowly turned around to look at him. He already was looking with a smirk on his face. I puffed at him and turned back around towards the girls, ''Sorry girls, I have to go. See you later?''

They both nodded and I walked away, knowing that Ross was following me not far behind. And like I thought after just a few seconds his arm was around my waist and he pulled me into his side.

I felt him growl a little bit and I looked up. He was growling at other males that were looking at me. I rolled my eyes at that and looked forward.

I turned towards the back door and Ross followed. He opened the door for us and we walked out of the ballroom and into a long corridor. I turned towards my left and continued to walk.

All this time I felt him watching me so I spoke up, ''You know, you should be watching where you are going. Might run into a wall or something''

''But I rather look at you then at that old, boring corridor.'' He answered me and I faked gasped, putting my hand where my heart should be.

''Excuse me? I like this corridor!'' I said, acting like I was offended with what he said. But it was true. This corridor was beautiful, not as beautiful as the first one but still it looked good and wasn't boring!

''Well I prefer to look at you.'' He said with a smirk and I quickly looked away from him so he wouldn't see me blushing. I felt his chest vibrate from his laughing and that made me blush even more.

Before he could say anything else we reached the door that led outside and I quickly opened it and walked outside, away from his arms.

I heard him close the door but I continued to walk forward until I reached the railings. I held on to them and took a deep breath. It was night out and the air was fantastic. I always liked the smell of the night.

As I was looking around and taking in the smell, I felt Ross walk behind me. He wasn't touching me but was standing really close. I felt his warmness behind me.

He pushed my hair off my right shoulder and put it on my left one. I shivered when I felt his fingers brush against my neck and back. But before he could continue I started to talk.

''Why were you sad?'' I asked, still with my back towards him. I didn't want to turn around. I didn't want to face him. I was scared of the answer.

''Why didn't you do anything when you realized I was your mate?'' he asked me back, not answering my question.

''What?'' I asked him confused and turned around.

''When I was walking down the stairs. You saw me, you knew I was your mate, yet you didn't want me to see your face. You didn't want me to know that you were my mate. Why?'' he continued and I looked down and was about to turn back around but he stopped me. He put his hands on my waist and pulled me back so I was facing him. I slowly looked back up at his eyes and saw the same emotion I did before. Sadness.

''I...I was scared'' I answered still looking in his eyes, ''I didn't know what to do.''

And I didn't want a mate. But I couldn't tell him that. It would break him. He would probably reject me and I didn't want that. I did want a mate, just not this soon.

''Then why later walk on the stage? You knew I could see you from there.'' Ross asked me.

''After you walked down, I talked to my friend about this and they told me that I made a mistake. I should have just let you see me. So after that I just walked around and it was all up to you.'' I explained and he shook his head.

''What if we couldn't of met after that?'' he asked me and I looked down, ''Would you just let me walk away knowing I was your mate?''

''No, well yes'' I said and looked back up to see hurt in his eyes, ''but I would of gone to your pack to see you the next day.''

He nodded and let go of me but I could still see hurt in his eyes. That broke my heart.

What was happening? I only know him for about fifteen minutes but I already am feeling like this.

''The bond between mates is strong. It will pull each one of them towards each other in every way it can. But if one of the mates has alpha blood in them, then the bond is hundred times stronger. You won't be able to leave each other for long. Your love will be the strongest of all.'' I recall my mother saying that to me when I was little. The bond is strong. And he is an alpha, which makes it even stronger.

''And you my dear are a white wolf. The bond will be the strongest of them all. The love you and your mate will have will be unbreakable. It will be the most amazing thing you will ever experience.''

The bond between us is strong. I feel it and I know that he feels it as well.

''I'm sorry'' I said and put my hand on his chest, ''I made a mistake but I would've never let my mate just walk away''

He put his arms around my waist and pulled me close, while putting his nose in my neck where there was no hair that would bother him.

''You're forgiven'' he whispered against my neck and I let out a breath that I didn't know I was holding.

We stayed like this for a while. Him holding me close with his arms around me and his nose in my neck while my hands were on his chest, counting his heartbeats. It was peaceful.

But there was one thing on my mind that kept bugging me. I was scared of it but I needed to know, so I pulled away from him and looked in his eyes while he looked in mine.

''Are they true?'' I asked him slowly and he looked at me confused, ''The rumors about you. Are they true?''

He didn't look away. He didn't flinch. He didn't move. Just kept looking in my eyes.

''Yes''
