Laura pov.

''Is everybody safe?'' I asked.

It has been a half an hour since I barged in the office and told the guys about Derek and everybody has been doing everything to get the weaker and younger ones safe. Ross hasn't come back as well. I guess he needs a little time alone as well.

''Yes.'' James answered, ''But why is Derek showing up now? The Eclipse is only after a week and a half right?''

''Yes, but he is trying to make us scared. He wants us to think that something big will happen now, I'm not saying that nothing could happen, but we need to be prepared for everything.'' I said.

''I hate that guy.'' James said angry.

''We all do.'' I said nodding, ''Have you heard anything from Ross?''

''No, he isn't answering us. His link is open so he can hear us if something happens, but that's it. We ask him when he is coming back or where he is but he just ignores us.'' James answered, ''Maybe you should talk to him? He will listen to you''

''I can try.'' I said and James nodded.

''Ross? Can you hear me?'' I ask him through the mind link, but he didn't answer, ''Ross please say something. We need you right now...'' still nothing, ''...I need you Ross. Please answer.''

''He isn't answ-'' I started to say, but somebody stopped me.

''I'm here.'' he said.

''Is everything alright? Where are you? When are you coming back?'' I asked him almost immediately.

''Everything is fine. I'm near the lake and I don't know when I'm coming back.'' Ross answered.

''You have to come back. We need you right now Ross.'' I said.

''Is everything fine?'' James asked and I nodded, ''His answering?'' and again I nodded.

''I know you can do it without me. I just need to be alone right now. I need to think.'' Ross said.

''Think about what?'' I asked.

''The pack, Derek, me, you...us.'' Ross said.

''I'm coming.'' I said and stood up from the chair behind the desk in Ross's office.

''No, everything is fine I just need to think. You don't have to come here....I don't want to hurt you again.'' Ross said, slowly getting quitter.

''Hurt me how?'' I asked walking out of the room, while James just nodded understanding where I'm going.

''All I do is hurt you...'' Ross said just when I shifted and started to run towards the lake.

''That's not true! Don't think like that Ross.'' I said and started to run faster.

''But it is! Everyday I hurt you.'' Ross said making me run even faster. Only two minutes left to run. Come on Laura run faster....

''No its not! Ross listen to me! We fight yes, but that doesn't mean that you hurt me! You just make me angry at that moment and that's it.'' I said, trying to get the idea of him hurting me out of his head, ''I love you Ross. Would I love you if you would hurt me that much? No.''

''Sometimes I think you're only together with me because of the mate bond...'' Ross whispered and I stopped. He was right in front of me, looking at the lake.

''How... How could you think like that?'' I asked him slowly. I saw him sniff the air with his nose and then he slowly turned around, ''Do you really think that low of me?''

''No, I would never. I just...I don't know why you are together with me.'' Ross said and turned back around to look at the lake.

''Because I love you Ross.'' I said and walked next to him, nudging him with my nose so he would look at me.

''But I don't understand how you can love me. I hur-''

''No stop saying that you hurt me! Yes you do hurt me sometimes, but that's it! You hurt me sometimes not every day. You make me angry, but I bet I make you angry as well. Stop saying these kind of things Ross. I love you for you, not because of some mate bond. If we weren't mates I would still fall in love you.''

''No you wouldn't. The first days you hated me, but you stayed because of the mate bond and because I was your mate.'' Ross said.

''That's because I believed the rumors then. I hadn't heard the real stories from you yet.'' I said and Ross laid down while I put my head over his.

''But...''

''No but. I love you Ross. I would never leave you. There is no one better for me in the world like you. You're the one I need and love and don't you dare think that I only love you because of the mate bond!'' I said.

''I love you too.'' Ross said, ''You have no idea what I would do so you wouldn't leave me.''

''You don't have to do anything. I'm not going to leave you. Ever.'' I said while trying to get to him even closer.

''There is nothing! Derek just disappeared!'' James said, walking around the office, angry, ''There isn't even a scent left behind! He just disappeared like he wasn't even here!''

''Derek has powers as well. He is trying to make us scared, scared that something will happen.'' I said, thinking about what he said.

He said the next time, that means he won't come here until the Eclipse, but he can send some of his solders to do his work this whole week. That maniac thinks I will give him my powers! Like I would do that! I would be insane if I would do that!

''He won't come here until the Eclipse.'' I said when no one talked.

''Why do you think he won't?'' Ross asked, as he turned to look at me.

''He said the next time he sees me, he kills me. And the night we will fight is the night of the Eclipse.'' I said, thinking it over and over again.

''I wouldn't count on that. He will do anything to win and making us week by coming here and fighting with us is the thing he will do.'' James said.

''That's true, but like you said, he will do anything to win and by staying away from us he can hide his powers and train to get more powerful. If he comes here I can learn all his tricks and I would figure out his weak spot and he knows it. He will send other rogues to fight in his place. He will order them to learn and see every detail of how we fight and what is our weakness.'' I said making James think.

''You may be right,'' James said, ''but we still need to be prepared for everything''

''That's why I'm going to join you in the trainings.'' Ross said and I looked at him.

''You mean you haven't been at their trainings?'' I asked him, confused.

''Yes. I haven't got time to go train them because of the pack work, but I did sometimes go with James and Aiden to train them. And let me tell you, the times I was there, those were the trainings they will never forget.'' Ross explained.

''After the war you need to spend time with your pack more.'' I said and he nodded, ''And I'm going to train with you as well just like other females who will want to fight.'' I looked at Ross, but he was looking away from me. I smirked when he didn't protest.

''Yeah about that. We need to tell the pack about all the news.'' Aiden said.

''Call everyone and tell them to be at the pack houses back yard in an hour.'' Ross said and Aiden nodded, walking out of the office to tell everybody.

''Have you guys said anything to Luke?'' I asked.

''No, why?'' Ross asked.

''He said to inform him if something happens so he can help us.'' I said.

''No need for that. We can take care of everything ourselves.'' Ross said.

''Ross we need as much help as we can get.'' I said, ''I don't want them to help us as well because that will mean that more people will get hurt, but we need them.''

''I don't like if other packs help us.'' He said.

''Have you heard ''the bigger the stronger''?'' I asked him and he nodded.

''I know, but...''

''Ross there is a bigger chance that we will win if we got more people on our side.'' I said and went to sit in his lap. He opened his arms to let me sit down and when I did, he closed them again and pulled me close.

''I'm going to look for Emma.'' James said and walked out.

''Why are you always right?'' Ross asked as I put my head on his shoulder while he kissed my forehead.

''Because I'm perfect.'' I said and laughed.

''You are.'' Ross said and kissed my lips.

''Ross, I was being sarcastic.'' I said and looked in his eyes.

''Well then I don't understand sarcastic.'' Ross said and put his head in my neck, ''But I do understand that you are perfect in every way.''

''No I'm not.'' I argued back.

''Yes you are and don't even try to say something back.'' He said.

''Okay, but I have to ask you something'' I said and he nodded with his head, saying that his listening, ''Why do you always put your head in my neck?''

''What can I say...This is my favorite place. Its smells like you and I can do this.'' He said and kissed my mark. I shivered and felt him smile against my neck as he kissed it again.

''Hey guys.'' Jane said, walking in the office, ''Stop what you're doing and listen.''

Ross pulled away from me, but kept his arms tight around me, ''What? Is something wrong?''

''No, nothing's wrong, for now, but Amos wants to talk to you guys.'' Jane said.

''About what?'' Ross asked her, confused.

''You think I know? Go and ask him yourselves.'' Jane said, ''Now excuse me I have to go.'' she turned around and was about to walk out.

''Are you okay?'' I asked her.

''Yes, why?'' she asked, confused.

''You just...you're acting weird.'' I said and she shook her head.

''No I'm just in a bad mood.'' She said and again turned around, but I stopped her again.

''What happened?'' I asked.

''Nothing much, just problems.'' She said and gave me a look, telling me what's wrong and walked out. She had her time of the month. Poor girl.

''Remember, after an hour there is a meeting in the back yard!''Ross yelled, so she could hear him.

''I know!'' she yelled back.

''What's wrong with her? Why is she acting like that?'' Ross asked me.

''Like she said, she's in a bad mood.'' I said.

''Do I want to know why?'' he asked and I shook my head, ''I need to leave her alone?'' I nodded, ''Okay''

''Come on lets go talk to Amos.'' I said and stood up, pulling Ross with me.

"Let's go.'' he said, taking my hand and walking out of the office.

We walked down the hall and then downstairs to Amos room. His room was on the second floor with the rest of the pack.

Ross has started think about us moving out so we could live in our own house, but I told him that this isn't the right time with all these problems going on. So we decided to start thinking of our own house after all this.

When we reached his room, I knocked and Amos opened the door.

''Come on in.'' he said and moved aside so we could walk in. We went to sit on the couch while Amos said on his bed that was right in front of us.

''So what did you want to talk about?'' I asked him.

''I needed to tell you guys something.'' he said and I nodded, telling him to continue, ''Today I felt something, something that I never felt before for a long time.''

''What was it?'' I asked curious.

''Something that's black as night and evil as the devil himself.'' Amos said.

''That was Derek.'' I explained.

''His even stronger than I thought.'' Amos said more like to himself then to us.

''What do you mean?'' Ross asked.

''When he came here I felt him, I felt every part of him. He was pure evil. I felt his powers as well. I never thought that he was this powerful. I know that he would be strong because of these myths and writings in the books, but I didn't imagine that he would be this strong.''

''Is there still a chance that I can win?'' I asked him, scared. Ross grabbed my hand and put it in his lap, squeezing it.

''Of course! The good always wins.'' Amos said with a small smile.

''But Am I powerful enough to kill him?'' I asked.

''Yes'' he said and I let out a big sigh, ''Just like the myths said, ''The fifth white wolf will be the strongest of all the other ones. But by being the strongest means the enemy will be stronger as well. The year of the fight will be remembered forever for it being the most dangerous, worst and powerful fight that has ever been and will be. Both of the sides are equal, no one stronger, no one weaker. The result of the fight is unknown. The dark side can win, but so does the good side can, but both can lose everything as well.'' '' Amos explained.

''What do you mean when you said that this fight will be remembered forever?'' Ross asked nervous.

''Exactly what I said. This fight will be the most powerful and dangerous fight of them all.'' Amos said and I gulped.

''And what do you mean by ''both can lose everything as well''?'' Ross asked, getting scared of the answer. Amos looked at me and I gulped even harder, starting to sweat.

"He means....both can die and lose everything."
