《The Lilly Within the Ashes》Ch 36 (Epilogue)

I'm currently sweating bullets. It doesn't help that my pregnancy hormones and being extremely nervous are the ones at play. "Lilly calm the fuck down." Anthony mumbles for the umpteenth time. "I-I'm trying but I am going to be marring the love of my life in ten minutes Anthony! So shut your mouth and hold my hand!" The grumpy man groaned, but like the good brother figure he is, he held my hand.
Although I should be more focus on my wedding that was going to start soon, my mind wandered off to the man holding my hand. The last few days he has been gloomy and skipping out on PT lessons. So, knowing why he was glum, I invited Jonathan to the wedding. It might have not been the best thing to do, but I knew it would get Anthony to wake up from his stupidity.
"Lilly. Come on. Your very impatient fiancé is waiting at the altar." Anthony wasn't kidding about him being impatient. The wedding was supposed to be next week and we are having our wedding at eight in the morning. Why? Because apparently he couldn't wait any longer. So here we are. Us getting married at eight in the morning, a full week early.
Plus, the entire time I was getting ready, he was trying to come in and talk to me since we have not seen each other since four o' clock this morning. As quoted by him when his mother yelled at him to get out, "I don't care about some bull shit voodoo about seeing her in her dress before we're married!" Also the night before the wedding the couple sleeps in separate rooms. Jason threatened everyone that he would kill them if they prevented him from sleeping in the same bed as me.

Now here we are. Me walking down the aisle with Anthony while the priest is holding Jason back from running towards me. I give Jason a glare to hold still, but he just responds with one of his stupid smirks. Once Anthony gets me to the altar, Jason grabs me into a hug. "You look absolutely beautiful." I gave him a small peck on the cheek and then tried to remove myself from his grip.
"Mr Attel, if you would please remove soon-to-be Mrs Attel from your arms so we can proceed with the ceremony?" the priest groaned in annoyance. Jason snapped a glare at the priest and let go of me but my hands. The small crowd that was attending chuckled in the background.
The priest opened his mouth to start but Jason interrupted him. "Just skip to the end father." he spoke while looking at me. "Mr Attel that's not-"
"Shut up and do what we're paying you for." Jason grunted. "Jason!" I whispered in shock. My soon to be husband gave me a bashful look but it didn't last long due to the priest grumbling, "By the powers invested in me by God, I pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride." His lips instantly attached to mine, almost bruising, but magical.
The reception was full chaos. But what do you expect from a room filled with a bunch of Italian mafia men? Jason kept me attached to his hip, literally, and every five minutes kept kissing me and telling me how he couldn't believe I was his wife. I gave him a smile back and gave him a peck in return.
After the wonderful speech given by Anthony, who would have his eyes trained on Jonathan every now and then during his speech, Jason made us quickly cut the cake and then leave shortly after.

As we entered the car, Anthony stopped us before we left. "Why did you invite him?" he mumbled without really looking us in the eyes but at Jonathan's. I stepped out of the car to give him a hug. "You can tell me that answer yourself when you're ready. Okay?" Once I removed myself from the hug, Anthony's face was completely pale while his eyes were wide. I raised my hand to touch his cheek and pecked his forehead. "I love you no matter what." I whisper into his ear. I got myself back into the car and watch Anthony disappear slowly from our view as we drove off.
"What was that?" Jason asked confused. "Oh it was nothing. I just told him we will miss him." Jason grabbed my hand and kissed the back of it. "I love you." he stared into my eyes. "I love you too."

"Pick them up and arrange them the way they're supposed to."With trembling hands, I did what he asked quickly. He had no clue who I am which made me resent it even more.He scowled as he watched me made mistakes after mistakes and after a while, he grew frustrated and bent over, picking the books himself."Forgive me, I didn't mean to snarl at you the way I did. I'm not used to being distracted. No one ever walks in my office unless they have my permission. I don't even know how the guardsmen let you in." He said breathlessly.I would have blushed, but he was so mean and rude to me that his compliment lost its impact long ago."I need to go," I told him."Wait."
