Sania's pov

I got to know that Aryan had a daughter named "Sierra"..As Riffat bi moved aside then we could see her..All the while she was hiding behind Riffat bi and we failed to notice her presence...She was such a small little, cute munchkin...I was so in love with her by only looking at her...but she was looking so sacred and was continuously hiding behind Riffat bi..

She was such a cute, two and a half year old baby girl..I immediately developed a liking towards her..

Then Riffat bi showed us the bruises how her mother used to abuse her..I couldn't believe my ears and eyes...like, how could a mother abuse her own daughter, that also.. soo mercilessly.. Then she also said that she wanted to abort the baby, but because of Aryan's threat she could not.. so she never took care of her own daughter...She never even once breastfeed her.. Yaa Allah..! breastfeeding is so important for a new born..and this little Angel was even deprived of that...

I felt so sorry for that little princess who had to go through so much...All the while only she got fathers love as Aryan used to love her alott.. and did not even once got motherly love and care...She then gave Rehan to read Aryan's letter which he wrote while taking last breaths..

Rehan read out the letter loudly and That's when I again bursted my emotions...Aryan truly loved me and his love for me was selfless..Riffat bi then requested Rehan to adopt Sierra as her own grandfather did not wanted to accept her...

Rehan agreed to Adopt Sierra and I was so happy..Even I always wanted to have a daughter and Sierra would be my one now...I was so happy with this thought..

Whole evening I was not in my senses and those incidents was again and again coming in my brain. After so much efforts sleep consumed me..

Soon it was fajr time..I got up did my Wazu and started praying my Namaz..

I prayed to Allah for Aryan, to provide him a good place in Jannah..I also prayed for Rehan and Sierra so that she accepts me as her mother very soon...I said 'Ameen' and folded my prayer mat.

I read my Quran for sometime and then headed downstairs to make breakfast for everyone..After sometime Riffat bi and Sierra came and I made them sit on the dining table..

All the time I tried making small talks to Sierra,but she was even scared of me.. 'All thanks to her mad mother... this poor child is scared of every woman now.'

I did not push her alott and Riffat bi gestured me that she will slowly slowly make her understand..I nodded and decided to give some time to that little baby to accept me and Rehan...

Soon Rehan came and joined us.

Sierra was continuously starring at Rehan..Rehan noticed her constant gaze on him, he smiled and patted her head..She gave him a small smile in return then Riffat bi said, "Rehan you look similar to Aryan because of you stubble..Therefore Sierra is continuously starring at you.."

Rehan laughed a little and said "Indeed he was my brother so we do look alike.." he paused for few seconds and again said "Get ready Riffat bi and Sania we are soon leaving for adoption center.." I and Riffat bi nodded our heads and got ready to go there...

I took a bath and wore my black coloured dress with matching hijab...

I immediately tied my hijab securely and came down. I saw Riffat bi and Sierra were already ready. Sierra was looking so cute in Pink coloured top and white pants.

Riffat bi noticed me and said, "Mashallah you look so pretty Sania" I smiled at her and muttered a small 'thankyou'

Now Sierra was looking intensly at me. I smiled at her and gave her a flying kiss, she looked down shyly and clung on to Riffat bi's kurta and smiled a little..'I guess she will take a lot of time to open up...Thanks Sonia you were a great help' I thought sarcastically in my mind.

And then entered Rehan...He was looking Mashallah so handsome in his casual wear...I was openly drooling over him..

I wont deny I have a little bit feelings for him...Come on who will not..? He is every girl's dream man...

"Lets go Riffat bi" his voice bought me back to reality...While I was busy in his thoughts...hehe ;)

We all settled in car and Sierra was still sitting with Riffat bi..She was such a quiet baby that I did not even once heard her voice...

We soon reached the adoption centre and got down and proceeded towards the main office. There were many couples who came here for adoption..Sierra was looking scared while witnessing the crowd and went in the arms of Riffat bi..

Soon our number was called and we went inside..Rehan then introduced us,"Good morning officer...myself, Rehan Junaid Khan and she is my Wife Sania Rehan Khan.." i was so happy to hear his name after my name..

He then continued, "We are here for the adoption of Sierra, daughter of my late step brother Aryan Khan.." The officer nodded and enquired,"Mr. Khan why are you adopting this baby..And as you said that she is you stepbrothers daughter so why..?"

"Officer this was my brothers last wish, (he showed him Aryan's letter) And I also have a witness, this lady who worked in Aryan's house since years...Riffat bi" Rehan answered the officer.. and pointed towards Riffat bi..

"Mr. Rehan you are so young..you can have your own baby in future..why to adopt daughter of someone else..You can send her to her Grandfather.." Officer voiced out his doubt to Rehan..

Rehan opened his phone and showed the recording of Mr. Syed's last night call.."See officer, you can clearly hear that this man has nothing to do with his son's daughter..He cut all ties with his son when he was alive..I hope this recording cleared all you doubts.." I was in awe looking at Rehan's intelligence...He knows so well how to tackle such situations...

That night when that shameless man wanted Rehan to sell me to him..He taught that bastard a good lesson..And today also he dealt with the situation so wisely...Now Im more impressed by him. If only he could behave like a civilized person with me...I thought and chuckled but not loudly..

The officer nodded his head and started doing the documentation, Rehan literally made him shut his mouth..haha..That officer than called me and told me to sign under Mother signature column..

He then asked Rehan to do the same under Father Signature column..He also took Riffat bi's signature under Witness coloum so that there would not be any legal problem in future..

Then he called Sierra and said, "Beta from now on this woman over here is you Mumma" he pointed towards me and said..Sierra looked at me but was not understanding a single thing.

"And this man over here is you Dadda" he pointed towards Rehan...Sierra looked and smiled towards Rehan..

I must say she has already started liking Rehan...Daddy's girl..

We thanked the officer and came out. As we exited the center Riffat bi then said,"So I am going Rehan..Take care of my Sierra..she is very obedient child and will love you alott."

"Atleast come with us for now, have some lunch and then leave.." Rehan said..

"No son I have to go, my family is waiting for me and I have train to catch within half and hour.." Riffat bi reasoned to which Rehan just nodded..

She then turned towards me and said.."Please take care of her Sania.. Treat her like your own daughter, and remember to put ointment on her bruised regularly.." Worry was clearly evident in her voice...

"Dont worry Riffat bi, she is my daughter from now onwards..I will not at all forget to treat her bruises, You take care of your family..And thankyou so much for taking care of my daughter for two years.." I said, and she hugged me.

She then bent in Sierra's level and hugged her..She caressed her hair and said,"Sierra baby Riffat bi is going..you are now going to stay with Mumma and Dadda..take care of yourself and dont trouble them..Your Mumma will love you alott and will not hit you like Sonia...Okey.."She pointed towards me and said all this to Sierra...

Sierra nodded but had tears in her eyes..She then said in her baby voice.. "I will mishh (miss) you Ifbat bii (Riffat bi)"

I heard her angelic and soft voice for the very first time...She speaks so softly and is still not able to pronounce words properly.. Awww...my little cutie..

"Dont cry dear..Mumma is there for you" Riffat bi said and left her hand..She than placed Sierra's hand in mine and I gently took hold of her hand..

Riffat bi bid bye to all of us and even promised us that she will be in touch with us...

We all settled in car, Sierra sat on my lap and we drove off towards home..
